Thought I ought to wrtite a positive review for once....
I loved this demo - yes, it's got creepy scenes and spine-tingling moments but it was good to play and I will be buying it.
Story by Poe was based on an actual murder; however, I am intrigued to see how they are going to explain away some of the phenonmena occuring in this game!
Voiceover is good even though you have to click to progress through the speech.
Some weird bits like why is Dupin locked in his friend's house?? But otherwise - lots of click and find, search and use some HOS. Challenge not too difficult but I would be wary of letting younger children anywhere near this- although with some of the stuff on Nick and children's TV I think I must be getting old and they could cope with this!
Gameplay is good - story is excellent - what is going on??
Visually good - music not too intrusive- fun factor excellent
Only managed to collect three collectibles- if you collect all the game seems to reward you with extra play!
I will be buying this as I haven't read the story so I want to know what happens.

I rated the game based on the Demo only and was undecided as to whether to buy this game or not.
The plot/storyline is quite good and intriguing- 4 stars- demo was over quite quickly though.
Gameplay - yes, it is quite fun and challenging - unusual scenarios emerge as you progress - 4 stars for challenge and fun.
visual and sound - strangley I rather liked the incidental music, it takes all sorts to make a world, right? Bright and sharp without being too in your face. 4 stars
So why only three stars overall... well, There appears to be something missing - Is this really worth the price of a CE?
Extras are bonus game play and collectible card tricks (these seem to do nothing but end up in a book of tricks - wow!!!) and achievements. I could be wrong but there seems to be no reason to buy the CE - the same gameplay (less the bonus game) is available in the SE I guess. Concept art, musics, screenshots - really??? Still offered as exciting extras for more money? The only reason for getting the CE is you get to play the game now instead of waiting for the SE (and a bonus game).
I reviewed this game as a pre-release beta version and recommended it but somehow it seems to have lost something ... although I will definitely get the SE version!
I don't recommend this game.

Well, I wanted to see what it was like after reading the three reviews posted.
Music - annoying quite quickly.
Graphics - ok but nothing special
Story - there isn't one - just a pirate themed mahjong match tiles game
Gameplay - oh dear... get your quick fingers working... it is purely time based but in a sneaky way. No clock or timer but..... earning gold stars meabns you have to match really quickly to get the points required to get a gold star (Maximum three available - one for completing level, one for number of moves and the last for points earned).
It got too annoying very quickly to warrant spending hard-earned cash on this game. Did four levels and only earned three stars on the tutorial one!!!!! After level two, I guessed the faster you match the better score you get so got two stars on level three. Gave up after level four.
I don't recommend this game.

After playing the demo, I am totally undecided. As it features my surname I really wanted it to be good but it wasn't.
It is a match three/four/five/six game which you clear the underlying blocks and capture (drop to the base of the gameboard) other objects.
There are some nice features... different obstacles to clearing the blocks/things and they fall ( with the other blocks) as well which is a good thing - more of a challenge but generally there is nothing much to go wow about in this game.
It's a so-so game ...not good ...not bad. So you are left undecided as to whether to recommend it or not.
I don't think there is enough to make it better than an average game, so would have to drop on the don't recommend side.
Try it and see - you need to go past the first few levels which are rather easy.
I don't recommend this game.

Oh dear, this could have been so much better but the graphics and animation let it down.
Example, opening scene, mother with baby has no movement whilst walking but is bouncing up and down- yes, it was a cartoon on a stick - while scenery( reminiscent of old hanna barbera cartoons) moves past......
Animation is pretty non-existent throughout the demo so not great for game play. Much of ot is top-go action sequences.
Storyline is ok - Baby kidnapped then you are introduced to a 16 yr old girl leaving home to work in Kyoto.. Must do various tasks to get to find real mother...
Has voice-over so plus point there and music although repetitive is adjustable and not too annoying.
However, I deleted it after the demo session, I just couldn't be bothered to progress any further.
Try it and see. some might like it for its simplicity of graphics and action.
I don't recommend this game.

After the debacle of Les Mis:Jean Valjean, why did BFG decide to release another awful game in the series. The first game LesMis:Jean Valjean had 3 people out of 33 reviews recommend the game,.. Not unsurprisingly, this game Cosette's Fate scored even worse... no-one as yet has recommended this game.
Maybe someone out there likes a poorly executed version of the LM story with no voice-over, bad HO scenes and repetitive sound/music to distraction.
Please someone like it - otherwise this will be the worst game ever released by BFG!!!!
I DO NOT recommend this game for anyone.
I don't recommend this game.

This game is awful.
Options - really? - sound/music on/off that's it
No voiceover so have to read all the dialogue - well I thought you did but it turns out that hardly matters.
This game is so bad, it got deleted after the completion of the first HO scene. Antiquated graphics and engine make it so frustrating that you give up before getting anywhere near the demo time limit.
It could have been a good game but this version of the JFK story turns it into a farce. Really it is not worth bothering to download the demo, it is that bad.
Avoid - save your time- skip this game.
I don't recommend this game.

Definintely surreal game. Howver, having said that, it is very playable. I bought the full game soon after playing the demo. Not particularly difficult to play but so worth the price especially if you get it on a free or reduced as I did.
As with all games, try it for yourself - it's actually quite fun.
Recommended.

Sneeked through as part of the release, the Blue Tear is a story of restoration of order and balance to an ancient culture.
Mostly HOGs and puzzles and a lot of to and fro, back and forth etc..
Based on the demo... and I ran out of time, using the whole 60 minutes to provide some aid to a native mask maker.
You get to an ancient native village very quickly in a savannah landscape- although it takes you a while to see the savannah as you are stuck in the village for some time...
Diary shows old diary pages which you find and clues to solving the various challenges which are current.
Some of the challenges are quite tough to work out and require a little bit of lateral thinking even on the easy setting
Voice overs are essential and masks (yes... spirit masks!) speak to you but as least you have a written translation on the screen from their mumbo-jumbo... doesn't sound like any language to me!
Basically the plot is that you have to restore the blue tear to its rightful place after what looks like your ancestor stole it roughly 100 years ago- its their diary pages that you find. And you use the diary too- see above. Evil has been released intoi the world and the black wizard is trying to complete the process. Only you can stop him.... but you have a white wizard to help you whom you comunicate with via a bag which you assemble and acts as a hint for your next action.
It didn't grab me if you know what I mean - it was ok and the challenges of the puizzles kept my interest until the demo was up. No idea how long the full game lasts or how it progresses beyond the initial village and savannah scenes.
Will I buy it? probaly get it on a free coupon.
Try it for yourself.. some will like it others will hate it.
I recommend this game!

Ah... the famous spider creepy mechanical thing is back!
Having played the other Puppet Show games, this was a quick try to see if it measured up and .... yep, in my opinion this is as good as the other games in the series.
Added frisson in the pop-up scary objects that actually make you shiver slightly.
Plot - rather like other games where women go missing and ... the twist, they appear to be puppets now after being struck by lightning. The lightning also causes inanimate objects to take on a life of their own. You can overcome them by solving some puzzles etc...
Map/task lists/diary/achievements are all present as is the curious rebuilding of the Eifel Tower via cash obtained from various piggy banks.
Graphics are good, lots of HO scenes and puzzles. Sound and music enhances the game and it has voice-overs!
Only done the demo so far but will definitely buy this one.
What a huge change from recent fare. A game I actually like and enjoy playing.
I recommend this game!
