I read some of the other reviews before downloading this game. I persevered to the end of the demo to give the game a fair chance....
Marginally creepy opening when girl drops teddy down drain but retrieves before......... however, mum is not so lucky
After decorating a cake for the girl's birthday- find candles stick on cake, find decoration stick on cake, find.....zzzzzz
Then the plants attack... however, in the aftermath, you realise that the cake has a usable candle on it but.... you can't take it..... why.....???
Mum breaks out of house and ventures down block to discover car crash site... find lighter, find car - no wiper fluid... woe betide anyone who tries to drive with a dirty windscreen (windshield for other non-uk persons)- thankfully after getting water you pour it into the radiator (coolant system) of the BMW? and not the wiper fuid container...but.. you need a thumbprint to get the car going.. Hand print in wax so melt off a portion maybe.... ok better go back two blocks and get the candle .... but must light it first as, obviously, going two blocks with a lighted candle will in no way diminish its effectiveness, right? Then drive like a mad thing to ... where....? Cat in split screen running out into road... cut back... road clear...then cat mysteriously reappears and without braking you swerve all over the road and crash into a boat???????
I found the gameplay a bit too simplistic to be good enough for a paid game. The things you need are generally fairly close to hand although sometimes you have to click around a bit to find what to do next.
You win the lottery by matching coloured strips in a frame - wish that happened in real life, I would be a multi-millionaire or perhaps not as most likely everyone would win each week.
I could be a interesting game but it isn't ... I found that I couldn't really be bothered to find out if my husband and daughter were alive or not.
Try it but I won't recommend it.
I don't recommend this game.

This is based on the CE version... don't know if you get to collect scrolls and skulls on the SE version.
But I recommend the CE as it completes the story - I thought the standard story finishes rather abruptly - you need the bonus chapter to finish the game properly.
A lot of back and forth to collect , do puzzles, do a HOS and complete a task.. Nothing is too hard though but sometimes a little challenging.
I liked the premis of the game, lost girlfriend because you took too long to leave the station.......visit the land of the dead to get her back and front and sides.....
Recommend the CE only really....
I recommend this game!

The Last Days
Only by discovering clues left by advanced civilizations can you stop the return of an ancient enemy and save Earth.
What? Is this game left on a shelf somewhere or did they wait until the Mayan calendar expired to see if the world would end?
I played ( well that's a loose description) to the end of the 60 minutes.. I reached Cairo and the Pyramids in the same light aircraft that flies from USA to Bimini, Iceland and Mexico!! Very authentic!
This game has a lot of back and forth movement- revisit old location to do a HOS collect something else, get a helmet, get a vase, get a cup....blah blah.
The hint is annoying at times .. so you could switch off very early in the demo...
As I got to Egypt and the pyramids , I guess the game is not much longer than 1 hour, I may be wrong but I am not going to waste a free game credit to find out.
No clear instruction, no real idea as to why you are doing this - some vague threat about 30 Dec 2012, apparently!
Could have been much better - no skill levels to speak of so somewhat hot and miss... some of the puzzles are reasonably challenging.. otherwise it's like revisting an old game an wondering why you played it in the first place.
Deleted it and cannot recommend it.
I don't recommend this game.

Not a good start - a game about people's mental illness represented by annoying obnoxious gremlin-type figures which you have to fight.....
Copyright issues anyone - an einstein figure who looks remarkably like Einstein, a Grace Jones cop character(ditto) a Richard Branson bum (ditto) and a strange punk-style girl who might look like someone but I don't recognise her. These are the figues you meet in the demo - oh nearly forgot, how could I?, the buxom young doctor who hypnotises people at the drop of a hat. Then you enter their subconscious and discover their fears and phobias. and fight them (you can skip the fights which are quite challenging but you miss out on jewels if you do).
This game could have been good if it went for a totally fun setting ('unwell mel' springs to mind) but treats the subject in too serious a manner to be fun but dismisses the problems in an offhand manner that makes you wonder who made this game and why?
The outfits that you can buy by collecting gems in the dream world (subconscious) are not sexist at all.... oh yes they are! The last one looks like it could be a totally revealing costume....hmmm why put them in?
The game starts in a streetcar which is flying through the clouds with your long-lost boyfriend piloting the vessel but it's (like Dallas) all a dream but you have to perform some tasks to get off the streetcar - that's achieved by jumping into space.......Then you discover that your ex-BF (who is a psychiatrist also) has disappeared and that his patients (the afore-mentioned characters plus others) are going insane....
Sorry - game deleted - cannot recommend
I don't recommend this game.

This is not even worth the download to try the demo
3d - yeah right - the screen wobbles slightly when you move the mouse to the side of the screen
storyline - more than a bit jaded - is this really a new game? Father disappeared - blah blah - mystery package blah blah - with exact co-ordinates of a missing village- wow - real surprise - not!
fun - not it isn't very fun at all - hint on main screen gives map which does absolutely nothing whatsover= show eher you've been and that (well, I presume it show this) there is an item or puzzle etc to solve in that area - or it could mean that's where you solved a hog/puzzle found an item.. who knows?
Visual sound - annoying music but then it often is - but this one will have you turning it off pretty soon. Graphics - ok but could be average to poor on a smaller screen.
Level of challenge - - looks ok but you need to be very imaginative even so I quit after 30 mins of the demo because I really couldn't be bothered to carry on.
I cannnot recommend this game to anyone.

Based on the demo, I am impressed with the game play of this release. Cartoon-like graphics but animated smoothly, most of the time; this is not pixar standard but good nonetheless.
It is a puzzle game with the player finding things to do to meet certain challenges and then finding the bits or completing a puzzle to activate them or, as is often the case, find that you need another piece to complete that you haven't found yet!
The characters that speak have voice over and text but the animation is rather like those japanese kung-fu movies where the lips move and speech come later and doesn't seem to tie in at all with the movements. Anyway, that aside, I found the game challenging enough without being infuriating. Some of the actions seem slightly illogical- I found myself doing one puzzle when I had no idea why I was doing it! That was revealed a little later when I had collected some of the other things I needed for the puzzle.
Some amusing moments in the demo - Guardian/Uncle has mechanical leg which needs oiling regularly..... Strange squirrel/cat-like animal that you have to mind-read...Mechanical robot that can be distracted by a film of its leader... Venus fly trap that can be enlarged to defeat a flying robot....
I guess there are more later in the game which looks quite large in size.
Less that good bits... speech synch- but this is just a minor bugbear- no map, so no quick moves to where you need to be - this entails a lot of back and forth, revisiting puzzles/challenges to final complete them. Diary rather limited in scope and detail - a reminder rather than a hint or help.
Hint recharges quite quickly on the regular level though.
All in all, I recommend this game

Hmm.. yes the game was ok. I got it on a freebie so would have been annoyed if I had to shell out for it directly.
Graphics - a bit questionable at times- some of the HO seem very dark and difficult to make out the objects. Had to use the hint quite a bit especially when searching for the last object and couldn't see it anywhere.
Gameplay - reservations about this too - you seem to use strange objects to solve spurious puzzles. Sometimes it makes some sense, other times it's guess work or use a hint. Hint takes you to next action to take - it doesn't just hint. Morphing objects - I have seen better; some are difficult to spot as the edges of the screen seem so dark and misty.
Music - that's ok - adds to the creepy atmosphere.
Premis- storyline - rather strange and seems forced to fit rather than flow with the gameplay. Some things appear to be done out of sequence which is a little confusing. You look at the diary and wonder if you've missed something important, then the game fills it in much later!
Overall- a little disappointing - could have been so much better. I did want to find out about the gold though so I will finish the game.
Probably not a ideal game - especially if you pay for it. In two minds whether to recommend it.......
I don't recommend this game.

I tried this game out as the demo version.
Rather strange animation hits the screen in the first scene and it doesn't get much better.
The player has to acquire tasks by questioning (preset questions to click on) characters which are rather static. There is no voice-over with the characters.
The compass shows you roughly where to go to get the required objects to present to the characters in order to progress. Then it's simply a case of clicking and HO games then sometimes a puzzle to solve. Herein lies the problem with the game - there is little help in the puzzles to work out what to do especially after you do the first puzzle which is easier. Then come the spelling mistakes - a Falx knife (repeated more than once) should be a flax knife which suddenly it becomes at the arena......This is found in a HO scene, many of which are quite dark making it difficult to see some items.
I started to get frustated after the third or fourth puzzle and deleted the game.
It's a bit too old and tired to get me to pay for this game.
I don't recommend this game.

Hmm not sure about this one
Fun - ok it was payable - no Voiceover- bit odd Story- bit jaded - evil witch snatches doll-like child Magic protecting cabin - find bits to unlock games and open things - all been done before
Visual & sound - music was actually enhancing the game- I usually turn it down almost all the way. this time I didn't. Visually - it's ok not outstanding not poor.
Level of challenge - medium to easy. Played the demo for the full hour.. still can't make my mind up whether this is worth the full price...Think I'll check out the walkthrough to see if iot is long enough to warrant the cost. Average rating for an average game- probably a good bet for the reduced offer but now????
