I couldn't even finish the demo. There is only a timed mode. You have to match 3 or more to move pieces of a thing down the board. That's it. You get 3 stars for completing it in a timely manner. It just goes on and on and on. Nothing to build. It wasn't clear if I was getting anything extra for making a match of 5 or more. It was just too boring to finish.
I tried to add a favorite M3 game but couldn't so here it is: Imperial Island: Birth of an Empire. This one has lots of things to do and a pretty good story line.
I don't recommend this game.

Based on partial play of the demo. I can't believe there is another "new" game that has nothing of the modern conveniences like being able to decrease the music and sounds in the Options menu, but again for the 3rd time in as many weeks the only option is on or off.
The storyline is that of a young female FBI agent who has been called in to investigate the disappearance of the flame of the Statue of Liberty off the coast of New York City. The first unbelievable quest was the evacuation of the city! Sorry that's too far fetched even in story land.
There are good HOS where the objects are in plain sight but well hidden and small. I did have to use the hint often.
In game play there are arrows pointing where to go always. Since there is only one mode of game play it is impossible to disable this if you wanted to.
There are also images of the Statue of Liberty in both game play and in the HOS, which when pressed give you factual information about said statue. Personally I'd rather go to the internet and read everything I ever wanted to know about it.
There were a couple of puzzles. I didn't see a skip button on the first one where you had to play a recording of the actual disappearance and I can't remember if there was one on the 2nd puzzle I played. I finished both puzzles without incident however the first one was a bit confusing. I did have to try several places to stop before I hit upon the correct stopping point.
There is no map or walkthrough for this game.
I urge you to play the demo to make an informed decision. For me this is a skip.
I don't recommend this game.

This review is based on the demo. I thought we had seen the last of these type games with Les Miserables but no here we go again with no choice of mode and unable to turn down the volume -- it's either on or off so I opted for off because of the repetitiveness of the music. The graphics weren't too bad but certainly nothing modern or exciting.
It's mostly a HOS game and things are well hidden but there is a hint button which refills rather quickly. Inside the HOS there are 2 places showing eyes and mouth of the Cheshire cat. Clicking on them reveals interesting facts about the author of Alice in Wonderland, Lewis Carol.
Within each scene there are also 2 places where the image of the Cheshire cat appears also revealing facts about Lewis Carol.
This game doesn't follow logic as you are able to reach things out of reach without an aide or complete a task, like paint a door without a paintbrush -- you just put the bucket of paint on the door and a paintbrush appears to do the work. Another issue I had was having to hold down the mouse to move the item from inventory into the scene.
There is nothing modern about this game and I just don't see spending good money on an inferior game while BF offers so many other good games.
Please play the demo and read some reviews before buying this one.
I don't recommend this game.

Wow! I so enjoyed this game. It didn't have collectibles or morphing objects but it had everything else I love in a game.
As a member of the League of Light you are sent to find out what is going on. As you reach the village a girl is kidnapped by a giant gargoyle so you rush off to the castle where something strange is going on.
I thought the graphics were nice. There are some really nice cut scenes which are narrated. The music was appropriate and I never got irritated.
There are lots of HOS. Some of them you have to find and use objects in the scene others are lists. These are not easy but they aren't hard either -- just right IMHO.
The hint button works outside the HOS with directions or pointing to the object in the scene.
There are lots of puzzles and they are all mostly easy. I think I skipped 2.
There is a great transporting map but the action usually takes place close by. However I did use it often. There is a lot to do in most scenes. By using the map I could check to see if I'd missed something.
This game is perfect for a beginner but old pros can find enjoyment in a relaxing game.
Play the demo and read some reviews to make an informed decision.
I recommend this game!

Based on the demo in casual of the 2 modes. Too techie for me. Although it started out okay I soon became bored with trying to fix everything. I was surprised there were so many 5-star reviews but to each their own.
So you play the demo and see what you think. For me I didn't like it even though it was a Daily Deal at $2.99 and won't be buying it.
I don't recommend this game.

This review is based on completion of the CE demo in custom mode reducing hint and skip to 5 seconds. I wasn't wowed by this game. The only collectible was rune stones and they were prominently placed. There were no morphing items. One of the reasons I purchase CEs is for the hidden collectibles and morphing items.
Basically you are a sheriff who has been called into a northern coastal small town where the previous sheriff has been murdered along with others in the town. Apparently there is a Viking curse who is killing these people or is it?
With the custom mode you can reduce the hint and skip to 5 seconds which I love. By the time I want to use either a skip or hint I want to do it right now, not wait for a minute or two.
I only saw one HOS in the entire demo which was during 83 minutes of game play. I always hear other reviewers complaining about too many HOS, well here's your game! The one HOS had you match pairs of items. Not very challenging IMHO.
There were I think 3 puzzles, one I skipped and the others were simple.
The graphics were okay and so was the music. I did turn down the music and ambient noise.
There is an evidence board where you place collected evidence. Not impressed. There is also a device you have to use to find "spirits" in the room. The first time was okay but after that I was bored.
I think I might buy the SE of this game but not the CE. Play the demo to make up your own mind about this game. For me it's a no buy, but you might like it.
I don't recommend this game.

This is based on only 11 minutes of the demo. First I tried to lower the sound of the music so I went to the options menu. What a shock when I discovered I could either have music and sound or not -- no choice to lower the volume. What developer in this century doesn't give a choice to lower volume?
Next I was very uncomfortable stealing from a priest but that was the only option presented. Although I skipped the option for a tutorial I was still presented with little circles showing direction or showing where there was something to do. This is unacceptable.
This game doesn't have voice overs, a map, or changeable options. No collectibles or morphing objects. Nothing -- this game has nothing.
I wouldn't waste another minute, other than to write a review, on this game. Please play the demo before buying this game to make an informed decision. BF offers so many more great games -- this isn't one of them. Developers this is the 21st century get with the program!
I don't recommend this game.

This was a Daily Deal so I read some reviews and most of them were bad, but I played the demo anyway and liked it enough to buy it for $2.99. I've now finished the game. There are no mode options, you can only change the loudness of the music and sound, both I turned down because I didn't like the music.
You, Jennifer, are an archaeologist and you've been invited to join your father in Mexico at his latest dig. When you arrive you are met by one of his students and find out your father is missing. The race is on to find your father and pieces of the Mayan calendar.
This game is really old school and there is a lot of hand holding. It's pretty much hidden objects where you find a number of this and that. The objects are pretty small and there were a couple I had trouble finding even with the hint. Some of the scenes move right and left and you'll find items there. Since there is no walk through go to the BF Forum to get help with some of these items.
There are a few puzzles which are fairly easy and there is a skip type button that loads after 3 minutes. After the first minute there is a button shaped like a light bulb which will show you a finished picture of the puzzle.
As with any game I strongly suggest reading some of the reviews, both good and bad and please download the demo to make an informed decision.
While this is pretty far from the type of games I usually play I did enjoy playing this one and will recommend it.
I recommend this game!

In the previous installment of this game, Final Cut: Death on the Silver Screen, your half sister, Linda, tried to kill you and your brother. Fast forward to today when your adopted "uncle" the General has come to get you and your brother because Linda has escaped from a psychiatric hospital and is planning to kill you two. He's going to take you and your brother to the base for safe keeping. Just as you reach the base a sand storm comes up and the scenery changes and you see a desert with camels! The car crashes just outside the base gates and the mystery begins. First of all there aren't any people around and so ....
I finished the SE of the game in custom mode so the hint and skip buttons recharged very quickly. This game was lots of fun to play. It has all the latest in modern game development. The visuals are just wonderful -- just like a real movie with nice art deco style furnishings. The music is pleasant and well suited for the game. The voice overs are superb! It's really like watching a movie.
The HOS are standard lists and the objects are very easy to find.
The puzzles range from very easy to hard. Of course there is a skip button.
There is a map and in the casual and custom mode scenes are highlighted where there is something to do. It also transports you to the scene.
The hint button works outside the HOS by either giving you an arrow direction or pointing to the object in the current scene.
Play the demo to make up your mind. This game is very suitable for all. I thoroughly enjoyed playing it.
I recommend this game!
