Wizards and magic, all quite fun. A good variety of HOs, some lists, some FROG, some find and use - but not too many of them to spoil the flow of the game. Puzzles are ok, I skipped one or two because they were annoying but that's just me. It is a cartoon graphic but I found it rather well done and fitted with the story.
There is a mother-in-law with a very dodgy set of false teeth - she's got to be up to no good with those gnashers!
You have helpers; the swallow and the otter are rather cute and not intrusive but then along comes the fairy folk who make this ridiculous "Wa-ho!" noise that drove me batty. For that reason, I'm knocking half a star off and giving it 3.5. I am going to recommend it but it might be as well to wait for the SE.
I recommend this game!

Dreampath: The Two Kingdoms Collector's Edition
Your sister, the Queen, has fallen deathly ill. Now you must travel to a faraway kingdom to find the cure.
I was wary of buying this one as I feared it might be too cutesie but it truly made a nice change. The animal helper isn't used too often and doesn't milk his part - not like that blooming awful glowing eyed thing in Witchville.
Play flows quite smoothly, the map is good; I only had to refer to the strategy guide once to help me cheat my way to doing one of the puzzles!
The only collectables are coins to spend in the "Cat Room", no morphs, which is a bit of a let down hence 4 stars instead of 5. Bonus game ok but probably not worth the extra CE cost. This game isn't going to strain your brain but it passes a very pleasant few hours when you just fancy a relax.
This is based on the full game and bonus play. I expect a CE to have all the bells and whistles but they were sadly lacking here - no morphs, no collectables as such. The play was boring, puzzles annoying and HOs very basic. Get it as a freebie SE maybe but don't waste your money on this one.
