I had great hopes with the wonderful transformation of the woman to a leopard in the beginning, but those withered as everything was so much like what has been seen before. There is the injured animal to put liniment and bandage after finding 12 regularly hidden bottles. There is a teapot to heat for water to remove ice from a lock. There is the cat to be given milk the hidden Obj scenes that advance pieces that one needs...hammer to repair ladder, rope to escape ski lift. Nothing is new, or original, puzzles are ordinary push on buttons until all are the same color, I do not feel like I have given anything away, do not feel this info is a spoiler because it is all what we have done before. Try it for 90 minutes, I got to the end of the demo in half the time and did it again just to ensure my impression was fair...
I am a fan of both of these games with the Botanica title and can not understand anyone giving either less than 5 stars. There is so much innovation to the game with such a good story line, and so much lovely beauty in the visual that I am thoroughly delighted and entertained. I do not usually enjoy the stories so much, but the premise and world we are taken to is unique and refreshing. Try it and see if you agree
This is the best game, I can not believe anyone would give it less than the 5 stars we are allowed. It has the most interesting H Obj games and the story line is really interesting. Visually it is very pretty. Some of the puzzles are hard and I skipped them to get further into the game, but I am looking forward to figuring them out as they take logic and planning. However some puzzles were very easy but since everything else was so superior I was not insulted at that. Do try this game and see if you are not delightfully surprised.
I have only done the demo and am totally sold. Normally wait for the SE to come out to see if the bonus is worth it, but this is such an outstanding game for really challenging puzzles. HObj games have a lot of interaction, and the cute companion is not too cutsey and is loaded with interesting info that I only scanned in order to get further in the game, but I am looking forward to knowing more about this situation when I can take my leisure with it. The settings are beautiful even bad things are...zero is ugly and smelly garbage molding or rotten. I am so glad there is a two for one sale this weekend, this is going to be one of those two for sure. I can not wait to get back and solve the puzzles I skipped which were original and tantalizing and read more of the story...
I recommend this game!

Agatha Christie - Death on the Nile
Hercule Poirot investigates a thrilling murder mystery and must find hidden clues, interrogate suspects, and much more.
what I really want to know from those who already own the game is if the work to figure out the mystery adds to the story and game. Otherwise it is only a HObj game and the rendering of the clues is blurry and sometimes unfair...in a timed venue no less! The dancers that only appear sometimes is one really unfair example. I have played the demo and since it is a bargain today, I may buy it just to find out about the answer to my original question. I liked the fishy who told us we can stop the timer by hitting ALT since that will help give time to deal with that HObj problem of bad blurry images, and yes I used an actual magnifying glass and it really helped. I will revisit the reviews to inform about the fun of figuring out the mystery and whether this adds that extra element we want to this otherwise pure HObj game
The expedition continues... Track down the fragments of King Solomon's crown and foil a madman's plot in this exciting follow-up to the bestselling series!
I hope someone will let us know if the CE is worth it for the bonus game and other parts. That said, it is a good game, but way too easy and simple. Yes I enjoyed fumbling for the umbrella to get the parachute, but I would have liked that to be an aiming game with consequences... There was a certain amount of confusion in finding things that would do the trick to solve some part that had to be retrieved but were not what the DEVs had in mind so one had to wait and come back later...but there was no logic to not being able to get that thing nor to be able to get the next thing among a variety of things to do. I liked the use of technology to guide us on our quest to find the infiltrator and so on. I liked that the setting was modern but neither dark nor ugly...no garbage and moldy stuff. Although the HObj scenes were very easy, there was some fun and variety in the layers of activity they provided. There were words and pictures and some interactive things as well. I think I'll buy it, but really want to compare with the SE when it comes out.
My only reason for not going to five stars has to do with the excessively rich visual presentation that is difficult to see because of both the excesses and the neon quality of the color. The H Obj scenes are also busy, but have good interaction. The puzzles seem rather easy and there was a lot of repetition with the blue/green and red stones had to do that three times and there was no difference in those three puzzles.
Although we are given 90 minutes, the trial cuts us short rather quickly and that too prevents knowing how much we are going to enjoy the game.
The story line is not unique, but heck there are only 100 basic story lines anyhow...Mom has been turned to stone and we have to rescue her by putting a medallion together. There are gnome like guardians who seem to encourage and disrespect us at the same time. There is a magnifying glass that allows us to see things that are magical, but there is no real way to know when these are called for. I'm am not a fan of having to use the hint to know how to progress. I think a lot of people will really like this game anyhow because there are enough interesting things to do here. So I do recommend you try it and it will not be a waste of time.
boring over and over do the same stuff where eventually you have to buy something or can not go on this formula is dumb and deadening Sorry no like at all
They gave us 90 minutes to check it out because this is a game to take one's time over. If you did not find a morphing object, well that is because you are in it to speed. This is a game to savor, to enjoy pictures that are of things one would never put on the wall...giant jaws to crush things open...things to recall and get into place. This is a game to work the memory cells, and while I hate hate dark games, this game is not that dark, so it gives enough light to see what is being hunted and dark enough that the things are in that twilight place that they gloom out slowly to your recognition. That is one of the delights of HObj games that one is looking and then the thing as a word clicks as an object visually...so this game really gives that enjoyment a workout. With the sale this weekend, this is a good buy. I would not pay full price because it is not that innovative, but the solidity of the game is fully there and so is the sale. Some of the minigames are hard enough I skipped them to get further into the game and am looking forward to solving them when I own it. The HObj games could have been more interactive, but what they have of that quality was fun. I finished with 20 minutes left and went back and played it again with my partner. The HObj games change from one playing to the next so the game stays fresh for a retry and that is always good. He liked it a lot and also wants to get it, so we will be playing it again when we own it. It gets an A- from me, but with all the naysayers I had to give it five stars because it is just so much better than 3.5 It is a buy and if you miss the sale, definitely worth using your game credit on ...now I have to find the second CE game I will buy with it. BF has given me a challenge ...glad this is a long weekend.
