A fire breaks out during a concert, and now your daughters are both missing. Hurry to track them down – their music may hold the key to life and death!
The worst part of this game was that it was dull. I prefer games that are not hard to see due to being dark grainy and with glaring colors...this one was on the verge of being all those visual impeding aspects, but what really turned me off was how lackluster most of the ongoing game mechanics were. Over and over we had to write some music notes and then get them to show up in some puzzle lock that had no real challenge to it. The game demo ends on a cliff hanger in hopes of intriguing us to find out about the strange torture that was being inflicted on the children. I do not believe things will improve and am not buying.
This is a stupendous game. I am not into storylines, but even that was delightful. The vampire theme is well executed. There are lots of puzzles within puzzles. The Hidden Obj scenes are interactive. There are roses and pumpkins to find...perfect to play on Halloween. There was a gate that one had to go through about five or six puzzles to get through and they were some a bit hard and others easy, but in the main very intriguing. There was not a lot of running around, it seemed that what one needed to progress was within a few scenes forward or back, and while I like to have to remember all the pieces and go back and forth, for those of you who do not like that, this will be a relief. The game trial ends on a cliff hanger and I hope the rest of the game will not disappoint because the developers really set themselves a high bar with this beginning.
Not a bad game, colors and darkness hard on eyes. No pizzazz. Thought I would love it and disliked it so I emotionally would have given it a 2 star rating. I did not spend a lot of time with it and will come back to finish the trial...and check out if I am undervaluing the game. HOwever, I can say that thus far I was basically bored.
So why did I hate this game? Because it was boring and dark, I could not even see things in the H Obj scenes and everything was stiff and stilted. I gave it two stars because I only spent ten minutes before I could not stand it any more...and I guess I ought not totally pan something that might have gotten better if I'd given it more of a chance. See if you can go further and think it worth your money...it will not get mine not even at a special like today
Why do I play these games? For fun. So do I think ugly broken down places are fun? Do I like to deal with things that are dark, grimy, stained? NO. So I do not like games that take me to those places. There was zero very new about the game, and there was zero nasty about an electrified guy whom we had to follow to retrieve the children, but many of the scenes were as described above and I see no reason to involve myself with a game that has that scenery unless it is very clever and involving on some other level.
I thought this was going to be a good game. One reviewer had me thinking this was CE quality but it is not. Not ...because there was a glitch the first time I played it and had to start again to get what I needed to get into the church. Not...because the H Obj scenes are dark and difficult to see and I despise clicking instead of seeing what pops up that is right to click. Not...because the hint was at times not at all helpful. Not...because the puzzles were too simple...and then even more Nots but why go on...the game needs some help but it could have been a good one and there were redeeming aspects to the story and there was even a bit of odd confusion that I think could be improved to make the H Obj games better since one could not tell when one had assembled all the pieces...also when done the difference between what was done and what remained to be finished was not different enough...just a lot of details that do not click and yet...it could have been a good game but as is not a buy for me.
Not only is this boring but it is dark and my eyes hurt after ten minutes of dragging myself through it ( I could not use the word play to describe this experience). There are a lot of Hidden Obj scenes that are not even interactive and they are small, dark, and strangely colored with too much red and gold with dark lines ouch to the eyes. absolutely not a buy for me.
I simply do not get why one has to click on films in a game that is mainly based on mental acuity. The random popping up of the films and the problem with clicking on them in the time that they surface is just too frustrating and is the reason I will not be buying the game. There was no instructions about how to solve this part of the game so I am not sure I was doing it correctly, but assuming that I was, I am annoyed.
The flow of the game is easy. Things pretty much fit together and one knows where things go. The Hidden Obj games are wonderfully interactive and take some scrutinizing to find the pieces that bring the hands to the clock as an eg. There was a little play within the play that had us needing to find silhouettes and put them after finding them in appropriate figures and then make the whole stage work...all rather fun. I did the puzzles up to the point of recognizing what I had to solve and how to solve it and then skipped to get further, so I can go back as I have over half the time to check it out. Today's special means that I need to see what I think of other Maestro games...if they are as good as this one...my pocketbook will suffer this month...I am looking forward to playing this game to the end. I do not usually get much into the story, but this one has a Diva who sucks the life out of her audience. We have a magical amulet that we have to find gems to recharge in order to make all the negative ghosts go away in each challenge as we wend our way to defeating her. There is lots to do and plenty to figure out. The scenes are beautiful and the bad guys are really awful but well drawn and so far not gruesome and everything is fairly well lit. There are little animals that we have to feed or distract and they are cute. Thus far the interaction with them has been logical and obvious. As I said, this is a fairly easy game with good puzzle challenges. Does one need the CE or should one wait for the SE? I am waiting for other reviewers to help me settle that question. I know I will buy this game in one form or the other. I do prefer the CE as long as there are some bells and whistles that are extra...Does this one have those?
This one is not at the good caliber of Entwined the perfect murder. It has lots of Hidden Object games which are hard to see. There is no sense of where to go and the hint does not help but is willing to give the answers which kind of defeats the fun of figuring things out and putting things together. I will buy the other one, but not this one. It was boring and frustrating to boot.
