A little girl finds herself trapped in a dreamworld ruled by some mysterious Character and his Book of Desires. As she escapes her unhappy home, she meets up with characters whoses wishes have gone terribly wrong. Motto of game: Becareful what you wish for!! Actually this could have been a brilliant game but unfortunately it falls way off the mark. Sadly many important game features are missing which makes this game a bit dated. However, what I did love were the graphics, beautifully drawn sceneries, all dark and twisted with some quirkiness added to characters. Visually the game looked interesting. Although quality of graphics were sometimes grainy and sometimes too dark, I did like the artwork. Music is really non-discriptive and alas there are no voice/overs, and to my dismay, no journal and no map. The dialogue is minimum and poorly translated which was evident in the HOG scenes. (ie: Hand wheel = water tap). HOG scenes are cluttered with no interaction, however items were easy to find. That being said, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the more I played on, the more I started liking the game. It grows on you. Some puzzles are simple, some need extra thought, mini-games are different and there is some back-tracking. I do recommend you try the demo and if you are a fan of adventure games, then by all means, do spens a credit or reward on this one. It is short, sweet and simple but there is a charm to it.
I recommend this game!

Bonjour, today my name is Sainclare and I am a photographer accompaning Investigative Reporter, Joseph Rouletabille. Our journey begins on a train from Paris and we are going to investigate a mysterious crime involving the brutal attack of the daughter of a famous Scientist/Inventure by what some claim to be a supernatural beast. During our mission, I am supplied by a photography camera that I use to take photos of clues that are later added to my journal. I also have a detailed map and a task list that helps me along the way. I am surrounded by excellent graphics and very good voice/overs that are given to other characters to help me along the way. I get to ask questions which is very helpful. Unfortunately the music is rather annoying so I turn it off. My adventure involves 2 levels of difficulty which adds to the challenge. I have to deal with puzzles and fun mingames along the way. The most challenging aspect of the mission are the HOG scenes, I sometimes need my glasses in order to find some of the items because the scenes are very crowded. I have so far enjoyed the mission although it could have been more challenging, I sometimes found it too easy. However the story does intigue me so I do invite you to join me, I think that you will enjoy it, especially if you love detective stories. The only difficulty was that there is no hint button during the game so I did get stuck several times. I am now off to complete this mystery, Au revoire everyone.
I recommend this game!

After using a secret alias to board the Titanic, things go terribly wrong and you find yourself trapped among the wreckage. In order to earn freedom from your watery tomb you must appease your captor by re-writing history and freeing the spirits trapped aboard the 'unsinkable' luxury liner as well as discover why fate has chosen this destiny for you.

Playing this game put me in a sombre mood which is to be expected on this 100th Anniversary of the Titanic Tragedy. I actualy enjoy the Hidden Mysteries series and the one redeeming element of this game was the storyline. I play the role of a reporter who is after a story involving a wealthy passenger on board the Titanic. Suddenly I find myself underwater amongst the wreckage and a mysterious entity has told me that I need to seek redemtion for what I did which is the mystery that I need to solve. In order to redeem my own soul, I embark on a mission to free trapped souls and I am aided by a time portal. The game itself is a slow HOG adventure, heavy on the adventure, with two gameplay modes. The Visuals and Sound are mediocre and dated, whereby animation and characters are stiff and graphics are murky which is reasonable since most of the game takes place under water. HOG scenes are cluttered and not interactive which is a shame and unfortunately you do get penalized for over-clicking. No voice-overs or historical facts and ambient music gets very annoying as you play on. Game mechanics involve alot of back tracking through the time portal and I do the usual stint of finding objects and using them to help the trapped souls that I have encountered. I checked the Walkthough and I managed to complete the entire demo trial well within the hour so I figure the game is on the short side. The only thing that will make me spend a credit on this game is that I really need to find out just what I did that was so terrible! Happy Gaming
I don't recommend this game.

I am a Princess trying to unite two Kingdoms with a troubled past. My soon-to-be husband, the prince, is kidnapped and now it is up to me to save him and bring peace to our land. I will have to face numerous puzzles, mini-games and dark magic to rescue him. Helping me is a magic amulate that helps fight the dark forces at play. I am surrounded by breathtaking graphics and wonderful visual and sound-effects. I have the option to play three game modes and also the aid of an in-house SG which thankfully keeps my place. The "Gods" above have supplied me with excellent talking capabilities and music follows me whereever I go. I have my trusty journal and I need to find certain objects that will help me get closer to my Prince. There are HOG scenes that I have not encountered before, so much to do in theses scenes that required some thought that adds to many of my challenges ahead. Join me in the exciting adventure and help me find my Prince and save the day.

For Vampire fans out there, this is a game that you really cannot sink your teeth into:)) Although I enjoyed the Vampire Saga games, I just wish that the developers would have improved on the gaming experience such as adding Voice/Overs, complex mini-games and HOG scenes that offered more of a challenge. I expect that beginners to HOGs will like this game, however seasoned gamers will be a tad bored with the game mechanics. I will offer points for graphics, atmosphere and the story line which will no doubt appeal to fans of Vampire tales like myself. The Cut scenes are sluggish and grainy however the graphics during the game are crisp. The music is tedious and repetative and HOG scenes are pop-ups which I dont paticularily care for, and Items in the HOG scenes....can they get any bigger? There are two modes of game play and hint does refill quickly in both. I played advanced and sparkles only appear for HOG scenes. The storyline involves a Father in search of his missing daughter who is inflicted with an unknown desease (been there and done that). However, what I appreciated the most were the puzzles which offered certain amount of challenge therefore based on the fact that I do love a tale involving the "undead", and that I did enjoy the previous Vampire Saga game, I will recommend this one and purchase it myself with a free game reward that I currently have on hand. Cheers!

This time it was the story that grabbed me, a serial killer on the loose and two detectives on its trail. Need I say more? The graphics are crisp and there are voice overs as well as a lot of dialogue. HOG scenes are easy and not cluttered and I really enjoyed the mini-games, different from the usual tasks. This game will appeal to those who lean towards adventure with a bit of a challenge. The hint system is not so helpful but there are a few sparkles that tell you where to go. Overall I enjoyed my trial period and am already stuck at the man-hole so I will buy in order to find out just who is the culprit. Definitely a buy for me.

Once again Rita James and her sidekick, Marbles are out to clear her Father's name. For a great adventure, this really is a game that will put a smile on your face. I loved the first installment: Escape from Thunder Mountain and found this game paticularily entertaining. What I do love about this adventure/HO game is that not only do you have a good story to follow, a good map, challenging puzzles and minigames, the HO scenes have alot more interactive play to them then the usual HO scene we get. In addition, there is a good hint system that outlines each task and if you dont use it, then you get the chance to use your grey cells which I enjoy immensly about this game. In addition, I think that the V/O are brilliant, true to form and character and although many might find the cartoon style graphics childish, I think it adds charm to the entire gmeplay. I mean who doesnt love cartoons? My only pet peeve is that the cursor tends to get sluggish in some scenes but I turned off my custom cursor which made it easier to move about. Seriously, dont dismiss this game, at least try the demo. Rita James Rocks!!!!

It has been a while since we had a SE Game that you can really sink your teeth into. It has many of the CE elements which include very good graphics (yes we have seen better still....) good V/O (everyone except our main heroine, she is a bit stiff), ingame SG that follows your progree, a map, a task bar, interactive help, and really unique mini-games that I haven't seen in a while. Not many HO scenes, but the ones I played were a not so easy to find items, and there is also a HO within the HO scene which adds a twist to the game play. Over all kudos tho the devlopers who in my oinion have raised the bar to what a SE game should really be.
I recommend this game!

Whenever a Hdo Game pops up, there seems to be a overpowering number of people who vehemently dismiss the game; usually they are right and justified by the fact that many of the games by this devlopers are just plain bad. This time, I was surprised; after having played the demo, something strange happened: I actually liked the game! Yes the graphics are bad, the music is bad, the game mechanics are over exaggerated and ofcourse items in HO scenes are ridiculously miniscule and impossible to find. Despite these pitfalls, I really found the story interesting; based on the templar legend of the holy spear, and I found some of the minigames really fun. For example there is a puzzle of a map that you need put together and believe me, I spent a great deal of time solving it. The hint system is poor but I played the game in timed level and found that by finding gold stars, I had enough hints to complete each HO scene. Yes, the game is mediocre but I liked it and when my hour was up, I went ahead and bought it. I think this particular game deserves at least a domo try and you decide, it really has some merits and if you do have a credit left over, I do recommend this game.

Really dissapointed because game had alot of potential just; perfect for beginners of HOPA games. A Western ghost story where you haveto track down a serial killer in a deserted town and save the boy. I liked the graphics and sound effects although I recommend you turn off your custom curser and adjust the eye candy to low for faster gameplay. Good Voice-Overs, better than some SEs that I have played and two game modes. HOG scenes are srisp and non interactive, easy to find items which are placed in your inventory. Mini-games are easy and some did have a certain degree of fun factor. Actually I liked playing the demo however5 the game lacks any sort of challenge for me. I expect that if you are new to the HOPA genre, this would be a very good game to own. I think it is well worth a credit and who knows, if I have nothing to do tonight, I might just splurge on it to see what will happen to bad dude in town. Cheers and have a good week-end.
I recommend this game!
