Buy this if you: a) love cats, a) Like a good story b) love HOS d) and definetly if you have a club reward or free game credit to spend
Unfortunately I bought the CE version of this game and actually thought it was way over-priced and below standard CE requirements and now wished I had waited for the SE version. The graphics were blurry and below par, no voice-over, no map, too many HOS which were junk-piled and not interactive and the usual run of the mill game play which consisted of alot of back-tracking which made the game long. Mini-games were too easy and the game lacked any form of challenge. On a positive note, you have three modes of playing and 24 cats to collect. I thought that the best feature of this game was the story line: a murder mystery which involved saving a young boy's life who is about to be persecuted for a crime he did not commit. Cats play an intregal role in the plot and there are many cats to collect. All in all I did enjoy the game and had I not bought the CE version, I would have defintely sprung for the SE version. For cat lovers out there, this was a puuuuurfect game to play. I do recommend it.
I recommend this game!

For Fishies who did not purchase the CE version of this game, then do not under any circumstance hesitate to get the SE version. Lets start with the storyline: A group of orphans with special abilities are missing and you must learn what happened to them inside the abandoned orphanage. While doing so, you have many puzzles to solve, very good mini-games and what I really loved about this game were the HOS. There were two modes in playing the HOS scenes, one being interactive where you collected the items on the list and the other where you placed items in their correct position. It wasn't as easy as it sound. The game options offered two playing modes and custom cursor. You have a journal as well as a map. The other feature that made the story extra interesting was that you had to collect each child's "special ability" and use them during you search. There are voice-overs and the graphics are top notch. All in all this is a very well designed game which I recommend for those who do not own the CE version. I definitely and positively recommend it. Happy Gaming!
I recommend this game!

I do appreciate games that deal with historical Invents: ie Amulate of Time,Shadow of La Rochelle which was a decent game that I personally enjoyed. I'm afraid that Borgia does not even come close. The Graphics are drab andout-dated, the music tedious, HOS scenes dark and cluttered, the cursor is sluggish, the puzzles and mini-games lean towards the banal making the entire gaming experience similar to a tranqualizer. There are no sparkles and you basically click away and get penalized often. You pick up this, place that, go there and play a HOG. Very old and very boring. Sorry but cannot recommend this game, not worth the time or effort or a credit. Definitely a snoozer......
I don't recommend this game.

I have waited a long time for the next installement of Pahelika and finally I have settled down with my cup of Jo to venture into the the land of Dhara. Those of faint hearts take heed! Absolutely NO HINTS and No Hand-holding of any kind so you and your grey cells are left alone to wander in and enjoy the experience of a true adventure game. Although this is the second installment of the Pahelika series, the storyline is stand alone and unique. However I do suggest you try the first game to familiarize yourself with the backstory. Options include two game modes and 3D. The Graphics are top notch, and there is voice-over during the cut scenes. As I mentioned earlier there are no hints available so you really have to use alot of brain power to move about. The min-games and puzzles are intricate and that only adds to the fun; the walkthrough which is available will be appreciated by many. For those who have complained about too many sparkles, too much hand-holding, be careful for what you wish for! This is certainly a game that offers a great deal of challenge and I recommend it to the many adventure seekers like myself. Enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Sorry but cant really say anything positive about this game. After having played the demo for about 45 minutes, I just deleted. Despite all the negative reviews, I really wanted to like the game and as I am writing this review, I am having a very hard time finding any redeeming quality to pass onto you. Event though I have many credits I can use, I will pass and that really says it all. The story isworn out, graphic very outdated, hints are absolutely of no use, you get penelized at every third click of your mouse, puzzles are jsut to tedious and min games are really inane. The entire game is old and outdated and that really wouldnt bother me since I still enjoy many of the old games I own. However Between the Worlds just did not entice me to continue and so I cannot full heartedly recommend this game.
I don't recommend this game.

This is what a CE is all about, it carries all the bells and whistle that make it worth the extra pennies. I really enjoyed the first Mystery Trackers and after having played 30 minutes of the demo, it was a definite buy for me. What does this CE have? You have options which include gamma and custom cursor. You have voice overs along with great sound effects. You have super graphics and animation along with real footage of characters. You have a story that although its a bit old, still carries substance. You have a map where you transport yourself to any location. You have achievemnts along with collecting 50 special items along the way and this really adds to replay value. Thank you developers!. Finally you have a variety of HOS, mini games and puzzles. What more can you really ask from a game. The only thing that really is missing are morphing objects. Although the one thing I did find dissapointing is that you cannot access the SG during the demo so at this point I have no idea how long this game is. However no matter, the game had me at the intro. Kudos to the developers and to BFG. I definitely recommend this game.
I recommend this game!

It has been a while since I have played a game that presented so many challenges. Excellent graphics and animation, Voice-overs done very well along with great sound effects. A strategy guide that kept your place (although a bit confusing because of the items to find were not clearly indicated) No hand holding of any kind and no HOS as well. Hints recharged quickly and I have to admit, I used them several times in order to find out where to go. Your main character is male which is refreshing and although I found the storyline lacking in substance, you had alot to read from your journal in order to follow it. Your memory is constantly tested which has you working those little brain cells throughout the game. I have to admit, I got lost a couple of times trying to remember where I needed to place a paticular item, so running around from one scene to another became a habit. What was really amiss in this game was a map which would have helped alot. I absolutely enjoyed this paticular genre, not quite a FROG but circles popped up everywhere, and there was always one item that was located in another scene (hence the need for good running shoes). There were many puzzles to solve and wonderful minigames, some very easy and some not so easy to complete. Over all, this was a breath of fresh air, quite different from the recent CE games that are being devloped and I applaud the developers for giving us something completely different. Game play was also very long whereby I spent two nights playing and I appreciated that the bonus game was worth the extra pennies. This was simply one of the best games I have played in some time and highly recommend it as a CE. Kudos to the developers and to BFG.
I recommend this game!

I bought Syberia when it first came out and it was my very first attempt at playing an Adventure game. Needless to say, I was totally lost and got bored very quickle and so I quit. After almost 6 months passed, and having played Dracula Origin, I again sat down to play Siberia and it was one of the best gaming experiences I have ever had. I spent many long nights on this game and before I knew it, I became the main character and was actually living the game. Never have I felt so immersed into a story and so absorbed by what was going on. I "virtually" lost myself in Siberia and was so sad when it ended. This game isnt for everyone, and it takes enormous time and patience, but if you are open to adventure, traveling to a far off land, meeting wonderful characters, then the worn out sneakers will not matter at all. A few times I did need the walk-through, but once you get the hang of it, learnign the ins and outs of this paticular genre of game, you quickly get hooked and I have to say, that nothing has come close to the experience I had playing Siberia 1 and Siberia 2. ALthough I cant dismiss the fact that it is unfortunate that this game is now being sold in parts, but I will say this, for those who havent played this game, who want to broaden their gaming experiences to more than just your average IHOG/Adventure, I highly recommend you get this jewel. Yes the tecnology is a bit dated but the graphics, the sound and the story, like I said, nothing comes close to Sİberia.
I recommend this game!

Finally a game that will appeal to all, Fantastic Creations is a unique game and has many of the attributes that we look for in a CE. Lets begin with the cons: a few minor elements that include a slightly slugish cursor during the beginning of the game, no choice of game mode and I prefer CEs to include ahievements that offer re-play value. Enough said, the pros of this game certainly outweigh the cons which is why I purchased right after completing the demo. Superior Graphics and animations, sparkles are only show up for HOS scenes so there is no hand holding, unique HOS where you find item sharing similar traits, Voice-overs, great sound effects, Journal and SG which I did not use during the demo. In fact I completely forgot there was one so I have no idea on the length of the game itself. Interesting story-line which I found to be very engaging, and my favorite, many many puzzles and min-games, vary in range of difficutly, I would say easy to moderately challenging. This is a very well done Adventure/HOS/Interactive game that I think has something for everyone. ALthough I suspect the game will not be very long; I played through the entire demo in 4o minutes so I have no idea how far I went. However, I enjoyed the quality of game play and highly recommend this for those who aprreciate something new. Thank you BFG for a great Sunday afternoon delight......

Warning: For those who suffer from Insectophobia should stay away from this game. Too many bugs, creepy crawlies along with sound effects that adds to the ominous atmosphere of the game. Actually the highlight of the entire game was the superb sound effects. Very real and very effective. The story line is interesting: Following a boating accident, you and friends find yourselves stranded on a deserted island where a mad scientist experiments on bugs and plants, resulting in some very wierd spicimens that are out to kill you. You have two play modes, a journal and also there is a game bonus play which I have yet to access. No voice over and non-descriptive music. However the Graphics are clear and visually very impressive and the enhanced by what I could say is excellent sound effects that remind me of one of those sleep machines set to jungle noises. You should play this game in the dark and set your speakers on, this will really immerse you into the general atmosphere of the entire story. Unfortunately that really is the highlight of the game, the rest really involves rather mediocre gameplay with no challenge whatsoever which made for a very dissapointing one hour of demo time. I would catagorise this game as your basic run of the mill IHOG. Lots of HOS where either you find 25 of the same items or from a list. Some HOS are interactive and are on the easy side. During the demo, I ran across only three mini-games that were too easy to be called min-games. Alot of going from here to there and picking up this and that to get to the next scene. It reminds me of the earlier versions of IHOG games that were put out years ago. I will not totally dismiss this game becuase as I stated, the graphics and sound effects gate high marks and I am interested to see what will happen to our group of survivors. Therefore if you have a credit to spare, I will recommend this game. Other than that, there really isnt much to write home about........
I recommend this game!
