What a great game, everything about it! Good balance of HOS and mini-game, some enjoyed, some not so much, but the hint and skip worked for the not so much. Great graphics, good story line. The map was a transporter and very effective. the length was right. Wish I had purchased the CE as I didn't want the game to end.
There were too many things that spoiled this game for me. The little girl was annoying not scary. There were a few "puzzles" that could not be skipped so I wasted time on something totally unenjoyable. The bonus chapter was not required - a waste of extra money. The whole game was dark.
I don't write novellas when I review a game, so here are my comments. Great transporting map, good hint system, doable puzzles, match 3 if you get sick of HOS, good story line. My only criticism would be using the inventory. It is too touchy. If you don't stay in the correct place it takes you out. I can't believe how many times I was in/out, in/out before I could use the item I wanted.

The game does offer a lot: transporting map, good hint system, decent mini games, OK HOS. The gem machine was a nice touch and the ermine helpful was adorable. On one thing that quite irked me was that the voice overs were atrocious. The first couple of times it was amusing as the words had been spoken but the mouth was still moving.
Your librarian friend wants your help as a journalist – he’s found an ancient book that is still unfinished. Can you save the world in the book before their story ends?
This game is one of the best I have played and I have played hundreds. Everything was super. You could set your own time for hints and skips. The hint system was excellent. There were not too many HOS and just enough puzzles. The assistant bunny was a chuckle. All of the taking animals I came across were entertaining. There is a transporting map but I seldom used it. It did not indicate where something needed to be done. I don't reiterate the story line as I feel BFG gives an adequate intro. and want to find out the story myself as I play. The CE is not necessary as the SE story ends cleanly and the strategy guide is seldom required. However, I really enjoyed the bonus chapter. Don't let a few bad reviews stop you from trying this terrific game.
This may sound trite but I probably would have given this 5 stars if it hadn't been for the annoying imp! Used seldom but in every scene as a pain. Otherwise everything was good. I agree with the reviewer who said the HOS scenes were hard to distinguish but there is a alternative game which I always turned to once I couldn't find anything more. Great jump map and good hint system. My first Witches Legacy. Will definitely try another.
This is a great game, story line, hint system, transporting map, the whole 9 yards. I would suggest waiting for the SE as the CE does not justify the additional cost.
I recommend this game!

Has everything you want in a great game. Good story line, excellent morphing map, good mix of puzzles and HOSs. I don't rehash the story. I would have preferred different HOS because having to find 10 of this, 12 of that....became rather boring. You DO NOT need to buy the CE. The SE has an effective and final ending and frankly what was in the bonus chapter wasn't worth the extra price.
