I cannot understand all the excellent reviews. For me, this game dragged to the point that, although I'm probably at least 3/4 of the way through, I am not going to finish. The map was totally useless. I had to use the hint button to figure out where to go. And travel you do. Do one thing, go somewhere else. It was not a short game - too long for me.

I have bought and played literally hundreds of BFG games but this is the first I did not finish. The HOS were too frequent and too difficult (for me anyway). As a result I totally lost sight of the storyline. The map was useless. Go for it if you like to be frustrated!

This could have been a 5 star for me except for two things. There were to many HOS and they were junk piles and took so long to complete, I was loosing sight of the storyline. The map was poor. Every single place showed something to do so you had to take notes or use the hint button regularly.

This was definitely a 5 star game, if not for the excessive number of HOS's. It also should have been an SE because the "bonus" chapter was just a continuation to closure of the story. Game could not be released without the "bonus" chapter.
There was parts of this game I enjoyed but overall wouldn't recommend it unless you love HOS and running around, Sure could have used an interactive map. You pick up one thing and then have to move several scenes to either find something else or use an item from inventory. I ended up having to use the hint button as a guide as to where to go. Any there were too many HOS for my taste
There is no assistance outside of the HOS where I certainly needed to use the hint. This is no hint o/s of HOS, no map, no journal. It starting out a pretty good game in spite of the above but deteriorated as it moved along with too many HOS. I spent so much time working on the HOS's, I lost the flow of the story.

This was a great game all around. Sadly the CE was a waste of extra $. The SE ended well and nothing was added in the CE. Actually the bonus chapter was repetitive and I did not enjoy.

This game is only for fishes that love HOS. I prefer adventure with HOS mixed in. Other than a few puzzles in between this is just HOS after HOS Really sorry I bought.
This was a very enjoyable game but the bonus play was not worth the extra money!

I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game. I'm not a huge HOS fan but these were quite different. You had to use an item immediately upon finding it. Or you could switch to a Match 3 game. The transporting map was excellent. The ermine was adorable and very helpful. I was really sorry when it was over.
