This is one of the best HO games I’ve played recently. There are numerous HO games and the graphics are exceptional and beautiful. The hidden objects are clear and yet they have managed to hide a few objects to give you a good challenge. The HO games are all different, so you are not seeing the same objects repeating. Interesting side note, there isn’t any map but that really wasn’t an issue since there is a built in strategy guide; however I never had to use it. The hints tell you where to go next, so do pay attention and utilize the journal often, it’s informative, interesting and provides added details. The storyline scenes are so outstanding that I looked forward to where the game would take me next. Even the mini games were fun and I actually completed more than 20 and I usually just skip them, so there are a good number of mini games as well. The music was pleasant enough that I didn’t mute it. However, let me warn you there is a companion frog that croaks frequently, he doesn’t do much else, funny I even got used to him, but I’m sure if he becomes annoying mute will be your friend. The bonus game was equally as much fun, this time you get a hand that occasionally laughs at you. Also at that end juncture you get an option of four music themes. I didn’t notice this in the beginning. Overall this is an exceptional game, a little on the macabre side, but nothing too gruesome.
I recommend this game!

I don't know who is giving this great reviews, but they aren't doing anyone a favor. I read the worst reviews first and in my opinion everyone should. Some players actually give a critique that is valuable but often overlooked because of all the "wonderful" reviews. I don't recall if I purchased this in a bundle or as an extra low cost game, but shame on me for not doing my homework! This started out horrible and continued the same. I probably won't finish it; its so annoying that I had to quit. Graphics: I can't believe people say the graphics are great. They are poorly done, one of the worst I've seen and I play a lot of the games, almost cartoonish and extremely grainy, also too bright and too dark in some areas...garish to say the least. The music was terrible and loud I turned it down to zero and it still played. I turned my headset all the way down as well. The sounds aren't all that great either. On top of being a poorly developed game, it doesn't even use the entire screen, so you are missing a third of what might have been possible to see.Why are they even allowed to offer this game? It's one of those that hang out in the middle of your screen and makes everything just smaller. There doesn't seem to be any logic to why you obtain most items, a few make sense but overall they are all over the place.HO games have objects in dark corners and lots of the objects are very tiny. No option to adjust gamma or select full screen either. If you have trouble seeing, this is definitely not a game you would enjoy.Remember read the worst reviews first followed by mid-range reviews as well and then weigh your options. Might save yourself some frustration, time and money.
I don't recommend this game.

This game fits in the mid-length category, not too short, not too long. Graphics are excellent and HO games well done with numerous objects that are clear and visible. Mini games are interesting but not a fan of them, but those who are will enjoy them. I even finished a couple. I wonder why the developers use the same repetitious music that eventually becomes annoying in most of these games. Turning it down does the job, but it’s a shame because music could provide so much more atmosphere to all these games. The storyline has logic and moves forward with interesting new scenes and well done scenes. The map is useful and shows you where your current objectives are and where there will be new ones. There is a lot of moving back and forth, but it’s for a good purpose and not overdone like in some games where that is all you do is jump back and forth until it becomes exasperating. A few times I found a linking object in a HO game and when I tried to connect it to its matching object it didn’t work, just keep trying if you know you are right. Sometimes inventory items make you scratch your head and wonder “whatever” but eventually there is a purpose. Sometimes inventory gets a little full, but that takes care of itself pretty fast. I had to laugh in the beginning. You have to find powdered milk to mix with water for a kitty, when was the last time you used powdered milk? Love the critter helpers, keep them coming, they are cute, fun and make me smile! Sardines in a can, if I remember right they are usually packed in like “sardines” but in this case it was just one big old fish. Gives you a moment to think a bit and realize that in some cultures objects might be just a little different from how others see them.
I recommend this game!

I would give this a 5 except it does not use voices. Keep reading! This is a long, long game! It is moderately challenging and great for anyone starting out with a HO game. As far as I am concerned, I found the game to be relaxing and fun even with out voices, I didn't find that a big loss.If you like mini-games and HO games, buy this one. There is an abundance of both, especially HO games. A big bonus is that many mini games are available to REPLAY in the main menu after the game is finished! A great option if you have children who like to play very easy to a bit more complicated mini games. For some, the only drawback is that this game does not use voices, all instructions and conversations are in print. However, they make up for that with an interesting storyline that moves forward with logic and purpose. They use real life images, some rather lovely, for the main characters but have created an assembly of well developed others.Graphics are very, very good and most pleasing to the eye, good mix of color, not too dark, not too bright. When you start you get a knife and a lighter. Don’t forget you have them. HO scenes are from very easy to “where the heck” is that one last thing, usually right in front of you, and the objects are plentiful and graphics well done. You can see all the objects, none are hidden in dark corners. A few mini games are long and a little complicated but generally most mini games and HO games would be great to play with your children. Nothing too scary in this game and since you hear no ominous music, no nightmares.Just one bad witch! Hints show you were to go with a little round swirl so no guessing. There isn’t a map to transport you, but the hint does the job. The music is okay if you turn it down, but that is all you get, so keeping it low worked for me. A positive is that you don’t have to use sound and the game is still entertaining. However, the ending comes a little too fast and sort of leaves you with what comes next. Possibly to be continued? Well worth the investment especially with that bonus replay options after game end!
I recommend this game!

This is a very long game, at first a little annoying, but as it continues you begin to appreciate the work the developers put into your journey. Occasionally your inventory gets too full, but eventually it becomes manageable again. I immediately shut off the music. Graphics are way too bright for my taste, too bad there isn’t an option to adjust them but you eventually get used to all the bright colors. Hints move you one step at a time and there is lots of movement back and forth, and you will find it a bit annoying at first but it's really not that bad! Finally a game that actually gives you an abundance of HO games and they use words for you to find objects sometimes a couple of objects are hard to see, stuck up in a dark corner, but overall good job on HO scenes. Sometimes they vary the HO games but mostly words and that’s what I enjoy, after all these games are called Hidden Object Games, not Mini-Games. The mini games were too detailed for my taste, I honestly don't have the patience, but if you like them a bit on the difficult side, you'll enjoy these. (Not a big fan of mini games.) Game logic is good, at least you can figure out where you need to return over 65% of the time. Storyline is interesting and you get to visit a variety of interesting and often unexpected locations and they do seem to be connected in one way or another to the story line. Good time with this one!
I recommend this game!

Overall an excellent game. The graphics were excellent and clear and the voices were very pleasant. Sometimes the music became repetitive, but turning it down solved that problem. The storyline was entertaining with an actual good ending, not one that faded away "it's over" let's just finish it without a solid ending! Nice work on this one! HO were mostly find the similar objects, but enjoyable. Mini games were not abundant and I only had to skip a couple of them not a mini game person. I am giving this one a 5 and it just wouldn't be fair to mark down music that can be turned down and some might like it.
I recommend this game!

First, the characters are rather cartoonish. Second, the developers didn't utilize the full screen for this game. They centered everything in the middle portion, so you are getting a little more than 1/3 viewing area. Objects of interest are boxed up in center of screen in rather small boxes as well. If you have any difficulty with small print, this is definitely not for you. Not only is the print small it looks faded, like they were running out of ink, and then they switched from bad print to blue print. The music is annoying as well. I played the game for about 15 minutes and found it unpleasant in all ratings. Teach me to not give a game a test run! However, this is the first game, and I've purchased quite a few, that I've found to be quite this bad. The first quest was to get water into a coffee machine to make coffee. I tried unsuccessfully to get the jug I had in inventory to fill the water container. (It was the only object available to use). Finally it worked, so I made coffee to pour on frozen door handles. HO screen was smallish too, so another disappointment. I thought maybe the screen might increase or the focus would extend beyond center screen, but that didn't happen, so I gave up. If you have eyesight issues, don't waste your time or your money on this one until you have tested it first. Even if you don't have an eyesight issue...test this one first!
I don't recommend this game.

Great graphics, art deco theme, attractive décor. Hints were excellent. Storyline was logical and a fun "who done it" mystery party! Inventory objects related to a location so I could actually map there without a hint! Mini games were well executed, I even enjoyed a few...not a mini game person. HO or Bubble Shooter was a nice option. I enjoy HO games and found them challenging enough without becoming annoying. Towards the end I used the correct inventory object but it didn't work and I had to use the hint button. Overall a very enjoyable escape from reality.
I recommend this game!

I don't know who gives the initial reviews, but I find it disturbing that they are so great. This was a short game 200MB vs. 700+MB average. The graphics were not well done. They used the same hidden object scene several times. I skipped most of the mini games. Previous revealed objects continued to sparkle which I found annoying to stop again for nothing. Positive note, the storyline was interesting.Hints quit towards end game at last 2 purple stones. Left game. Returned next day and wandered around and finally got the hint to work. Thanks goodness for the hint because I was all over the place with little direction of what to do or where to go next! Rather disappointing for part of a purchased bundle!
I don't recommend this game.

Excellent graphics and HO scenes. Some mini games were difficult and some not. Since this was one of the longest games I've ever played skipping a few mini games didn't make much of a difference. As another reviewer said the game was a bit all over the place, switching from one area to another and back again. Sometimes your inventory got overloaded, so good thing hints worked very nicely! Also the map showed you where to go next...most every time ...or I would still be playing this game into the next century. Overall well done game in all areas.
I recommend this game!
