The same pattern repeats itself
Place the object on a black and white picture.
2 Hidden object scenes which are OK.
1 card game
1 mini adventure game.
Over and over, and over... The first three times it is OK, then you wonder what's the point. The storyline is basci enough to keep going from one scene to the next, but no great shakes.
They should have learned that long games should build on difficulty. With all the nice variatios of HOGS, this one chooses to go on and on and on during the same things.
If you like HOGS, and want some mindless entertaniment for s few minutes, it is OK, Don't ask much, and you won't be disappointed.
I don't recommend this game.

This is the best take on match 3 games since Luxor, and it might give the old standby a run for its money.
On the other hand, there is the issue of eyestrain. You MAY get that. I did get a very painful one, speciallly when it got hard, so I regretfully uninstalled it. But if you can avoid eyestrain, you have hours of enjoyment.
I recommend this game!

It is good to look at the completed pictures and listen to the music. Just what you may need to relax and decompress.
The challenge is iffy. Since too many tiles are simlar, you may be driven to click at random, exchanging tiles systematically until all fits. You can do that very easily.
Also, staring too long trying to make out minute detail gave me painful eyestrain.
So, if you are prone to eyestrain as I am, do NOT get this. Find anohter soothing game. The rest can enjoy.
I recommend this game!

Good storyline with nice settings. The only problem is that a by the end you are trying to find HO secenes in rooms that you already visitited, with no idea which ones It is bad enough to backtraci when you have some idea of where to go, and another, looking over scene over scene. Specially at the end when we are told that time of the essence, you are scratching your head ;where can I find a tree? where can I find soil? Since thre are too many palces to pick. Makes more sense to acquire these at the outset and carry them for "later".
This makes the transporation map a bit useless....
Still, a nice take on Beauty and the Beast.. with a nice backtory as to why the Beast was curse.
I recommend this game!

It was OK up to a point. Grim, ugly settings - to go with the storyline. Puzze level OK, not much backtracking wichich is good)
Until I got to the point that I had to use the double hook to connect two ends. I spent five minutes clicking the mouse and trying to hold it steady. It kept escaping. There was no way to think it thrugh, no way to skip. It was just an exercise of frustration, just to see how good our muscular cntrol is.
I HATE when deelopers do that. They should by now understand taht not all gamers have precison muscle control. It was as if they were mocking me for not having exercised my wrists hard enough.
Well, They can mock me as theywish. I wiill never buy any other game from Brink of Consciousness ever again.
HAVE SOME RESPECT FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS!

The game is OK, It has a certain level of difficulty, but can be solved quickly enough - maybe too simple. Most irritating is when you need to rememberr something that you left behid several rooms ago, and cannot remember which, so you have to check room by room.
Also the history plays fast and loose his known history, whcih if you have read any of it CAN be irritating. Like Shakespear did not die before Queen Elizabeth, Henry VI was no warrior, And Richard the III's body ws not in the tower... It was under a parking lot...
If you can forget all that, then it is fun.
I recommend this game!

It was basically watching a fairy tale... It was like a Disney movie, only much better. The storytelling falls within the conventions of the fairy tale, with the idea of a quest to win the prince or princess, with magic, with strange helpful strangers to whom one must do nice things in order to get help (the idea that "kindness pays" which underpins most such tales. And the gorgeous settings! One wants to open doors to see what next gorgeous view is next.... and that's why I am sad when it ends...
The level of challenge is OK... While there are games that I play for the challenge, for this one, I just wanted to the story to go on, so if I did not solve it in two tries I pushed the skip button with no guilt. Other gamers might no agree... To each his own.
I recommend this game!

Gorgeous!!! Gorgeous!!! You can use the map, but the settings are so beautiful that you want to transverse them again and feast your eyes. 3 cute helpers - the nutcracker, the cat, and the candle. Delightufl evil rats.
The music of course....
It was like watching a flawless performance of the ballet...
Level of challenge was OK. Just to keep the story flowing and you did not feel guilty if you had to skip, so you could get back to Albert, Mary, and the Rat King. The HOGs were cluttered, a bit junk pile, but again, gorgeous to look at. Some interactive items. Bascially the puzzle solving does not get in teh way of the story or the mood.
Did I mention how much fun the rats were?
I recommend this game!

What's not to love? I wished some of the mini-games were more of the kind I like, but with the option to skip if it gets tough...
Four separate chapters. Each time you think you are done, you are off to a new, wonderful weird location.
I actually cared for the characters. Not only it involves a mother's search for her child, but also friends who have to face the inexplicable behavior of a friend, and are pushed to desperate measures.
Loved the "toy" boys. You could see that the robots were children, quite cheerful.
And the twist of the HOGs, having to have something in your inventory to finish them, and if not, having to walk away until you DO find it...
Elephant just keeps getting better and better.
I recommend this game!
