This game was unusual for me but I enjoyed it. Wish there had been more animation and VOS. Storyline - You are searching for two archeologists who have gone missing while on an expedition IHOS - Not very many, repeated scenes, murky in some areas, usual large and small items. Collect 39 hidden turtles along the way. I managed to find 29, if I remember correctly. These sort of achievements don't really interest me. Misclick Penalty - None Hint - Recharges quickly but states nothing else to do here but does guide you to an object needed. Map - Does transport. Loved it or I would have spent my time going around in circles. Lot of areas to cover. Inventory - Objects used quickly in other locations. Purple crystal gives you strength to defeat the evil and shows you the way. Puzzles/Mini Games - Seemed to be more of these than IHOS. The usual variety of easy and difficult. Other than my personal need for more animation/vos, this is a good game.
Great game! You play an agent sent to investigate strange going ons in a small town. Animation/Avatars/VOS - A+ Puzzles/Mini Games - Very unique. Different from others I've played. Even managed to solve a few. Hint/Map - Hint recharges quickly and acts as a guide working together with map to transport you to each location. This feature was great and saved a great deal of running around. Was using the hint at first but switched to the map. IHOS - Repeated, seemed a little gray to me with the usual large and small items. Some were list type and others were putting items back into the scene. In each location, don't forget to collect a total of 40 morphing hidden beyond objects. Managed to collect all 40! Misclick Penalty - None Bonus Game Play - Did not get into it. Can't remember if you have the choice of switching to another type of game instead of the IHOS. Didn't pay attention. This game was a great adventure so give it a try and happy gaming.
Magnificent storyline!!! You are in a coma and have a second change to right the wrongs and rid yourself of the guilt of the past. LIve Actors (Animation ?)/VOS - A+ IHOS - Clear and colorful with the norm of small and large objects. Misclick Penalty - None Journal/Memories - Records all information, photos, newspaper articles, etc. you collect in your travels. Hint - Recharges fairly quickly. Acts as a transporter to other locations. Shows inventory items needed for a particular area. Inventory - Items collected used quickly in other locations. Puzzles - Varied levels of difficulty. A few were unusual to me because I hadn't encountered these in other games. Bonus Play - To me, nothing extra, more of a conclusion to the story. Wish devs wouldn't do that. Bonus play should be extra, not the story's end. Aside from that last line (LOL), a very beautiful game.
Even though the storyline was right up my alley, there were a few things in this game I found annoying. Hint/Skip - Slow to recharge. Hint states nothing to do here or search elsewhere. IHOS - None but objects are collected by scanning every scene. Need running shoes. Built-In SG - Which I had to use constantly in order to keep up. Some things I did manage on my own without help. :-D Hologram Cat - Since I'm a cat lover, loved my helper who manipulated other creatures that I encountered. Animation/VOS - A+ Puzzles - As is the norm, varied levels of difficulty. Actually did solve a few. Misclick Penalty - None Map - None Journal/Diary - Keeps track of information acquired in searches. Bonus Chapter - Started to play but didn't finish. Did complete the game but the ending made me feel the Bonus Chapter was necessary to complete the story. For a CE, the Bonus Chapter should be an extra, not the story's conclusion. Still, all in all, a good game.
Storyline - Not a new one, battle the bad guys to free your fiance and others but great just the same. Avatars/VOS - In a word, magnificent! Wish all devs did these type of characters instead of the cartoon or comic strip style. IHOS - Repeated, clear with a variety of large and small items. Can be changed to play Dominoes. Inventory - Items are used fairly quickly in other scenes. Only saw one 360 degree scene through the whole game. Don't think this one scene would cause a problem with dizziness. Map - Does not transport so running shoes are needed. Be sure to scan each scene carefully outside of IHOS. Hint - Recharges quickly and acts as guide. Misclick Penalty - None Puzzles - Good variety of difficulty levels. One annoying factor for me was the elevator. Seems I could never stop on the right floor. LOL Glad I had the Hint button! Since this is an SE, I was surprised that it contained achivements, scores and some other things which I don't remember because these things don't interest me. These extras you would normally find in a CE. Also, there was a Last Chapter (Bonus Chapter) which I played. Also wonderful and sad. Could a sequel be in the works?? Sure hope so!! Marvelous game and I hope to see more of this quality. Give it a whirl and enjoy. Happy gaming!!!
For those of you who have an insect phobia (especially spiders), then this game isn't for you. On the plus side, the spiders are robotic and there are some beautiful butterflies. Storyline - Excellent. You must defeat Morgana and her evil plans. No, she's not a witch, just weird. :-D IHOS - Fairly clear with the usual large and small items. Some players may consider these to be "junk piles". Inventory - Items used quickly in other areas. Live Actors/VOS - Excellent. Journal - Keeps record of information and photos acquired in searches and has a map. Also contains repeated video clips which can be skipped. Hint - Moderate recharge and acts as a guide. Puzzles - Usual variety of difficulty levels. Skip - Reacharges quickly. Built-in SG Misclick Penalty - None As in most games I've played, there is a great deal of backtracking. There are many scenes to visit repeatedly. Since this was a CE, there is the usual bonus play which I didn't get involved with. Can't comment on the music because, as in any game I play, I tune it out. Take a chance on this game. I don't think you'll be disappointed but to each his/her own. :-D
Review based on completed game. Enjoyed this game very much. Storyline - You are a newspaper reporter conducting an investigation in a small town regarding a house appearing out of nowhere and taking people IHOS - Clear, mostly large items, some small items, scenes repeated Misclick Penalty - Screen partially fills with vines Hint - Recharges quickly and acts as guide. No map Inventory - Items used fairly quickly in other scenes Avatars/VOS - Good though characters moved in a wooden fashion Puzzles - Varied levels of difficulty. Skip button is available and recharges quickly Items to be found outside of HOS. Be sure to scan each scene thoroughly Journal - Keeps track of information and photos you find in your search In future games, I hope the dev will design the avatars to move with fluidity. Give this game a try and happy gaming!!!
This game was not to my liking. I listed the storyline as ok, was going to go with good because I believed it to be a subject I enjoy. I'll never find out because this review is based on about two hours game play. Animation/Avatars/VOS - At start of game only then changed to still characters with text dialogue. IHOS - Grey and murky. Small items and hard on the eyes Hint/Skip - Slow to recharge No hint outside of HOS but journal acts as guide Misclick Penalty - Cursor circles for a few seconds If the devs had continued the avatars and VOS throughout the game, I could have overlooked the other annoying issues. Storyline was good. You're an FBI agent who had the same nightmares as a child. While investigating a case, it seems your nightmares are coming true. I may attempt to replay this game if I can get through the small HOs and the decline of the avatars/vos. I must admit I'm anxious to know the ending. :-D
This game was great. Storyline - Without giving away too much, you, as the detective, must stop the evil and rescue two people. Won't tell you what the evil is but I can sum it up in one word -UGH!! Music- Really didn't listen and seldom do in any game. I have a tendency to tune it out. IHOS - Clear, large items, very few small items Hint/Mr. Toad - Slow to recharge but he tells you what inventory items to use and where. Elf - Detective's dog comes in handy aiding his master getting into small areas. There are chips collected along the way to buy gifts for Elf that he richly deserves, by the way. :-D Map - Didn't use it so I don't know if it transports Live actors/VOs were good Misclick penalty - None Morphing strange animals - If you click on them, it gives you bonus clues Puzzles - Varied types and levels of difficulty Inventory - Items used quickly in other scenes This game has something for everyone. Give it a try and enjoy!
This game was a disappointment. Animation/VOs - At the start of the game and in another scene some time later but only the sister's voice and her gloved hands handling papers. Hint Button - Slow to recharge. Gives instructions for tasks in another location. Unfortunately, you get to a location only to discover locked doors everywhere and you need a key or puzzle piece(s) to enter. Too much backtracking which caused me total frustration. HOs - Fairly clear Inventory - Some items had to be combined with others to have a complete tool. Not my idea of enjoyment.
