This game was magnificent!!! It has something for everyone no matter what your favorite genre is. Guys, don't allow the romantic part of my title put you off. It's a great adventure. Storyline - Mother and daughter are at a carnival. Mom is abducted by an evil force and you, as the detective, must find her and stop the evil. Animation/VOs - Excellent IHOs - Switches from clear to dark as you travel between the real and mirror worlds. Acts as guide from scene to scene. Some small objects. You can switch from the HOs to play a game of Monaco Diary - Lists notes and objectives Puzzles - Varied levels of difficulty and can be skipped Hint Button - Recharges quickly Misclick Penalty - None A real cutie - Miles the monkey helps you to acquire objects out of your reach. Be sure to scan all scenes thoroughly Map - Does not transport Inventory - Items are quickly used in other locations so you're not left with a ton of things and saying "Where does this go?" Bottom line - Get this game and enjoy!!!
I recommend this game!

Murder Island: Secret of Tantalus
Welcome to a world of danger and suspense in Murder Island: Secret of Tantalus, a thrilling Hidden Object Adventure game!
This game totally bored me. VOs were good but not for player. Box states "you" then dialogue appears in box. Live actors/still photos. Not much VO there either. HOs - Some dark areas, small objects, description of object is given with a question mark so it's up to you to figure it out. You must find 12 bells and look for Green Tiles. Be sure to scan every scene carefully. Hint - recharges slowly Misclick penalty - Cursor circles rapidly after about 2 to 5 seconds of use Map - can transport to some areas. Needs to recharge after use. This review is based on two hours of gameplay. Spent more time backtracking. Not a game for me.
Just could not get into this game. It was too clinical for me because of Angelica's comments. Her image on the screen was distracting. VO was good as was the IHOs. This game presented itself as more of a documentary with statistics than an actual story. Having to keep an eye out for dream catchers and sheriff's badges in every scene was time consuming. Scrolling scene(s) and lots of back tracking.
Like its predecessors, Curse of the Full Moon and Bane of the Family, this game is magnificent. Animation/VOs - Very well done. IHOs - Clear, some small objects, repeated scenes Be sure to scan all scenes for objects outside the HOs. Annoying factor was the repeated "Ahhh" everytime an object is found outside the HOs. Music - Alternated between lovely Parisienne music and blood curdling wolf howls. Hint/Skip - Slow to recharge. Hint does not act as a guide. States look elsewhere or wasting time. Puzzles - The usual variety, some easy, others more difficult No map that I could find but there is the SG which I used quite often. :-D Prepare to do a great deal of back tracking. No misclick penalty Annoying factor - Bath house full of smoke. Had to use a fan to clear it away to find silhouette objects. Bonus game play was wonderful. Wasn't going to play it at first but I'm glad I changed my mind. If you've played the first two in this series and enjoyed it then you will certainly enjoy this one as well. For those of you who haven't, I recommend playing Curse and Bane first. Get all three and happy gaming!!!
I recommend this game!

Hidden Mysteries®: Gates of Graceland®
Explore the home of the King of Rock and Roll while searching for clues about a lost song!
What can I say about the King of Rock and Roll? The visuals of Graceland were beautiful. I was never a fan of Presley but for those of you who are, this game is a must buy. HOs - Clear, some small objects, musical notes instead of sparkles VOs - Only at start and end of game Map - Does not transport Journal - Keeps track of info and photos collected along the way One scrolling scene in the entire gameplay Hint/Skip - Slow to recharge, hint acts as guide from scene to scene No misclick penalty and believe me, I'm an expert in random clicking. :-D Puzzles - Variety, some easy, some difficult. I did skip a few The TV performances and home movies of Elvis and his family were great to watch, including interviews and autograph signings. I'd like to dedicate this game and review to my late sister-in-law, Nancy, who was a true Elvis fan. She had all of his singles, albums and tons of photos. If you've collected EVERYTHING about Elvis over the years, add this game to your collection, enjoy and bring back the memories.
Prepare for a mind-bending journey into the realm of the weird in Haunted Halls: Revenge of Dr. Blackmore! Brace yourself for the unexpected in this exciting Hidden Object adventure!
Storyline - Once again, you must rescue your fiance, Tim, from Dr. Blackmore's evil clutches. First, you must rescue four other people each in a different location. HOs - Silhouettes, lists, fragmented, some small objects and repeated scenes Puzzles - Some easy, some difficult. I actually managed to solve a few without skipping. Either I was lucky or I'm getting better at it. LOL No misclick penaly No map that I could see and the hint just tells you to search another location. SG is included which I had to use often VOs/Animation - Superb Portable Laboratory - For mixing chemicals needed throughout the game. Notes - Collected through the game though I seldom referred to them Hint/Skip - Recharged fairly quickly Graphics - Good and you will encounter different weather conditions If you enjoyed the previous Haunted Halls games, you will enjoy this one as well. I have a feeling we have not seen the last of Dr. Blackmore. Check it out and happy gaming!!
Storyline was good and consisted of finding out what happened to the missing children at summer camp. IHOs - Repeated but clear with a few small objects. Instead of sparkles, it was butterflies. Live actors/VOs - For ghosts only Puzzles - Some easy, some difficult (to me). Did solve a few and others I skipped. Graphics were fairly clear. Lots of skulls and bones. No misclick penalty that I could see. Inventory - Items used almost immediately. Some were locked until you could find the missing piece. Map - Tried it but used the hint as a guide Hint/Skip Buttons - Recharged fairly quickly Since this was a CE, there was bonus play, achievements and trophies. CEs never did interest me because I don't need all the bells and whistles. Give me a straight game with a good plot and I'm happy. Did try the bonus play but did not finish it. Bottom line - a good game.

Could not finish this game to the end. The entire game had gray graphics. Difficult to see and hard on the eyes. Hint button acted as a guide but refilled slowly HOs items were small and hard to find because of grayish tint in every scene Looked like live actors with VOs but they appeared sporadically as ghosts. The only white in the game. Storyline - Save a small town from a dangerous device. Had just about surmised what the device was meant to be used for but someone would use it in a different way for evil. purposes. Cannot recommend this game unless you enjoy playing in a gray world.

Forget about the way Little Red Riding Hood looked in your childhood 'cause this ain't it! LOL On to the review: HOS-Clear, large, bright, fragmented only, repeated, only get one object, look for silver/gold items, emblems and colored gems. Animation and VOs-Not often throughout the game. Most of your time will be spent looking for items from scene to scene Puzzles-Usual variety with the option to skip; Think one puzzle said trial and error Hint-Quick to recharge and acts as a guide Map-Doesn't work; go with Hint button for direction Misclick Penalty-Cursor turns into a purple ball Look for Cursed Morphing Objects for extra hints; I missed a few of these. Don't like morphing so I didn't pay attention Wolf Queen-She is a sight to behold LOL Love her hairstyle! There is a lot of jumping from scene to scene Fantasy/Save the Kingdom storyline. Would rather play games in the 21st century. :-D 3 Difficulty Modes-Casual (my favorite), Normal and Hard For HOPA fans, I do believe you will enjoy this game.
Millennium Secrets: Roxanne's Necklace - Just like its predecessor, Emerald Curse, this game was magnificent in every way. More for puzzles lovers but I enjoyed it just the same. I still want to look like Kate. LOL I did manage to solve a few puzzles, most I skipped. There were list HOS in this version but the items were small. Avatars, VOS and scenes were great. I suggest you play Emerald Curse first then Roxanne's Necklace. There is a map and the hint button, which refills quickly, acts as a guide as well. The skip button refills quickly also. Kudos to Jet Dog Studios for another brilliant game!!! My opinion but the ending of this game suggests there may be a part 3 on the way and I can't wait!! By the way, I still say James is a total babe. LOL A must buy!!
