Love stories about vampires so I thought I would give the free trial a chance. For about 15 minutes! Caroline popping up every ten seconds during an HO was annoying. Could do without her input. Direct X download wasn't necessary for me because I already have it installed. The timed HOS were, surprisingly, easier than I expected. I don't like timed games. I play these games to relax, not to be aggravated. Too many pics and title pages popping up, a waste of time. I was wondering if I would ever get to see a vampire even in that one hour. The HOs are small and hard to find yet I did manage to find these items well within the time limit and in two to three minutes. Pity the dev didn't give this game a little more thought. Almost used a free game coupon but it would have been wasted.
First of all, I want to look like Kate!!! LOL Avatars and VOs are excellent as well as the storyline with a surprise ending. Scenes were great. I usually am a fan of straight HOs so I would have to classify this game as more of an adventure with HOs and puzzles thrown in. Something new for me and I loved it. Think I will continue to look for this type of game from now on. You have the opportunity to collect items along the way for extra hints since the hint button does not recharge as in a regular HO. There is a skip button. If my memory serves, the dev is JetDogs. Bravo to JD!! Please continue to produce more of this type of game. By the way, James was a total babe. LOL A must buy!!!
Along with the previous Anomalies game, Mystic Hospital, this one was no better. Cinderstone Orphanage was the best of the three. Again, in this case, the sequels are not always as good as the original. The storyline was about the paranormal which is a subject I enjoy. The VOs were good but it lacked in animation. Going from location to location was tedious. The hint button, which refilled quickly, was my guide to getting from place to place. HOs were repeated to look for different items. Mini games and puzzles were also tedious and difficult so I skipped them. Was happy when the game finally ended.
Kate was back as an avatar but she only made an appearance at the beginning and end of the game much to my disappointment. Only the ghosts had the VOs. Very little character interaction. There was an equal amount of HOs and puzzles. The hint button recharged quickly and was useful outside the HOs as a guide from scene to scene although a map is available. You will need a good pair of running shoes for this one. Many scenes to search. In some cases, a sequel is never as good as the original. To me, it didn't work in this game. Extensive backtracking to same HOs but for different items. Was anxious for the game to end.
Travel from the deepest trenches of the Atlantic Ocean to the awe-inspiring wonders of Mars as you solve the greatest archeological puzzle known to man: the origin of Atlantis.
This game was fantastic and I hated to see it end. Don't know who the DEV is but I'm hoping there will be more games like this from them. Avatars and VOs were great as was the HOs, puzzles and storyline. Hint and skip buttons recharged quickly. The hint does serve as a guide outside the HOs but I recommend using the map. Some HOs are repeated to look for different items as well as looking for objects outside the HOs. Scan the scenes carefully. The storyline may appeal more to entimologists. I don't like insects as a rule but in this game they are an important part of the story. Creepy looking and totally UGH but in a way, interesting. The ending was wonderful and made me cry a little. I played the SE so I don't know what the CE would have to offer. For me, this game had it all. Bravo to the DEV and please bring on more Eternal Journey!!!
You are asked by your college professor to save an island. No easy task. Live actors were great but the VOs did not match the mouth movements of the actors. A minor detail to me. Still enjoyable just the same. There was an equal amount of HOS and puzzles, plus other items you pick up along the way in each scene outside the HOS. The hint button refills quickly and also acts as a guide from scene to scene. There is a lot of travelling to do in this game. Many places to search so make sure you have a good pair of shoes. The HOS were the norm, some objects easier to find than others. Ditto on the puzzles, some easier than others. I did skip a few. An interesting adventure.
Follow orphan Eva on a trip to mystical Prague. Will she find out about her Royal origins, find real love, and save the world from a monster? It’s all up to you.
No walkthrough available so good luck. Glad the hint refilled quickly and acted as a guide from place to place. There is a map but I found the hint to be more helpful. If you're an HO fan, you won't care much for this game. Each HO only has about 6 items to search for, some in other areas. Too much running around for me. The animation was good and the VOs were a tad hammy. Lots of puzzles and pieces of puzzles to collect in different areas. Tiresome and frustrating.
Again, I have to save my sister, brother-in-law and this time, my nephew. Wonder what's wrong with my family?? LOL But on to the game! I did not play The Bride in this series. The VOs were great. Quite a few HOs and puzzles including Match 3 which I enjoy. Spooky but not in a gory sense. I would have preferred more animation but the characters were beautifully drawn. There's a map (thankfully) which will transport you from scene to scene. Map shows areas where tasks need to be completed. The hint button refills quickly. Did skip some of the puzzles, except Match 3, because they were annoying. I give myself 3 shots at solving a puzzle. If I can't solve it by the 3rd time, skip it!!! :-D The hint also gives you directions on what to do and where to go next. Didn't see the SG until the end so I never used it. The graphics were great. Bring on more Grim Tales!!!
Played this game for about one and a half hours and became weary. The HOs were silhouettes which I don't care for. I prefer a list HO. Animation and VOs were good but these were the only redeeming qualities. Seemed to be more puzzles and mixing potions than I can handle. Hint refilled quickly but would state to search elsewhere. The story seemed to drag with no hope of ever finding what's his name. For me, the plot didn't move fast enough and there was too much stopping to search for items. For puzzle lovers, this should be a good game for you. Just couldn't get into it.
Nothing is more annoying than to finally get to what you think is the end and the answer only to see these words"to be continued". Good points - hint refills quickly, animation and VOs. Annoying factors - jumping through the time machine from location to location. I like staying in one century. LOL HOs - Fairly good with some items smaller than others but repeated at least 3 times to search for different objects. Puzzles - Don't know how many but I managed to solve maybe two or three. All others I skipped. Music - Didn't pay much attention. Became bored and couldn't wait for this game to end.
