I was prepared to like this game, and it started out ok, not too dark, graphics were good, but as I got in it longer (I did the demo) it had things about it that I didn't like. First, no map, and having an interactive map decides whether I buy a game or not, unless the traveling back and forth is just in a small area. In this game I found myself wandering around a lot, in the darker scenes, not knowing where to go or what to do. The hints weren't good, and what I didn't really like was the fact that when you used a hint for instructions of where to go next the hint emptied out and you had to wait until it loaded again. A lot of games don't empty the hint when you're just wanting to know where to go next. And worse yet, if you skipped a mini game you were penalized by the hint not reloading for five minutes, or more! At one point it was fifteen minutes! That did it for me. I won't be buying this game. I want a game that I can enjoy, not one that's frustrating.
I've been waiting for another Spirits of Mystery game, and I'm not disappointed! I like it better than the first two, and I really liked both; Amber Maiden, and Song of the Phoenix. This game is so much fun! I knew about ten minutes into that I was going to buy it. So I did. It's not overloaded with HO's, and the ones that are there are not hard to do. They're sharp and clear, not hard to find, and some interaction is always in each one. The mini games are really fun to do, not your run of the mill; I've only had to skip one later in the game, which I'm not finished with yet but plan to do tomorrow night. I'm heading in the last chapter. The graphics are great and you meet different characters as you go through the scenes. This is a game that I'll play many times. Personally, the length seems ok to me, but it's one of those games that you don't want to end. If I have any complaint at all it's that there is no map, so there is some traveling back and forth; not too bad, though until you get towards the end. I always prefer games that have maps, but in spite of no map in this one I still give it 5 stars. I love this game!

I knew before the demo was over that I was going to buy this game. So I did; It's downloading as I type. This game has everything I like. Great graphics, good storyline, a MAP, and the mini games are good, too. The people don't talk, you have to read what they are saying, but that's no biggy to me. I have to confess, I like fairy tale games. I like other kinds, too, but I get tired of the dark and dreary horror ones that are out there these days. This game has bright, colorful scenes, even the night scenes are not overly dark. Has a good hint that tells you what to do if needed, also a strategy guide. So far I haven't had to skip any mini games, but can't say if they get harder or not since I've only played the demo, so far. The HO are different; you have to put the objects back in the scenes instead of finding them. I like that the HO's are different in that way, instead of the usual. All in all, a good game that I think most would like enough to buy. Enjoy!

I play games for relaxation and entertainment, and I love this game. Every thing about it. Graphics are great, good story line, and I love there's a map that you can go from place to place. You find gems in each scene to access the maps. Having no map, with a LOT of backtracking, has stopped me from buying otherwise good games. I wish all game creators would put maps in their games. I really liked the things you can do in this game...plant a garden, collect veggies, plant flowers, mix potions, very interactive with things you can do. This is one game I will play many times. Of all my games, this is one of my favorites. I hope there's a sequel in the near future.
