This is not a bad game, but not a wow factor; especially for a CE. I liked the music and thought it fit the story/graphics well. There's an interactive map, and a diary. One big problem was it didn't cover my whole screen. There was about a five or six inch of black on one side of my screen, and an equal amount of the game cut off on the other side. I've had this happen before with a couple of other games I've played. It doesn't matter what the setting is, it stays that way. Have any of you ever had that happen? My screen is 22 inches and most games cover that well. But I played the whole demo anyway. I didn't like that the scenes were mostly dark; why must it always be night time in most games?? The hint was ok, and it's a good thing there's a map because there's a lot of going back and forth. The map is good, it tells you where action is needed, etc. The HO's are ok, a bit cluttered but not hard to find the objects. Same with the puzzles...just ok. I might have bought this if it were a SE, and showed the whole game on my screen. I would recommend trying this game.
I recommend this game!

I have the previous Love Chronicles and have been waiting for the next one. Once again I bought a game without trying the demo first. Only the second time I've done this, and I'm not sorry I did. I really enjoyed this game. The graphics are great, bright and colorful, very clear, and the HO's are not hard to find, and some are interactive. Best of all, it has an interactive map! The hint button is very helpful...if you click it to see where to go next it brings up a small picture of the scene and tells you to go there. Then you just click that picture and it takes you right there. I love that! I'm not partial to games that have no map and you have to do a lot of backtracking, etc. That gets boring and annoying, to me. I also really like the music in this game, so I didn't turn it off as I usually do in other games. The voice overs are great, the lips move in the correct way, matching the words. There's not much I didn't like about this game...in fact, I can't think of anything I didn't like about it. Loved it, and hoping to see another Love Chronicles game in the near future. It's a winner.
I recommend this game!

I was happy to see this, as I had played the first two and had been waiting for the third. But it saddens me that this latest one will be the last one. I bought this one without playing the demo, which I seldom ever do with games. I'm not sorry I did. I like fairy tale games, pretty scenery, bright colors, different characters; even the dark scenes were still light enough that you didn't get an eye strain trying to see what you were looking at. Not too many HO's to do, some new puzzles, most were not hard. I enjoyed this game, but #1 is still my favorite. The only fly in the ointment for me on the Isabella games is the fact there's no maps. I was hoping the developers would finally have a map, but they didn't. That's why it only gets four stars from me. As for the extras, I enjoyed very much seeing the short videos of how voices are chosen, and also showing the building and rooms of where the game was put together. I like looking at the concept art, too. I haven't played the bonus game yet, but it's next on my list. All in all, this is a good game, as were the first two, but like I said, I hate that it's the last one. I want more!
I recommend this game!

I just finished the demo, with 6 minutes yet to go. I didn't like this game. I hoped that I would, but there were things I just didn't like. For one, the scenery was dingy and gloomy looking, drab. I like a game that has color and brightness with nice looking scenery. Plus there was a constant noise that was supposed to sound like rain ( I think that's what it was) and after awhile it got irritating. I started out with the music but turned it down after a short time. That, with the rain? sound was too annoying and distracting. The cut scenes were very slow, you got a black screen, and it seemed to me that the game, in many ways, was slow to respond. If you wanted a hint, you were pointed to the top of the screen where a slow forming text showed up that told you where to check next. The map was interacting, but a couple of times I was directed to a scene that didn't show action on the map, and told to check there. Off and on a scroll unrolled to tell you more of the story, and even if you clicked on next it finished the sentences, which were also read very slowly. This game seemed to go in slow motion to me. I'm sure some of you that haven't 't tried it yet may well like it. But for me, it's a no buy.
I don't recommend this game.

I just finished the demo, and have decided to use one of my freebies to buy it. I really liked the beautiful graphics, bright and light. A welcome change from the dark and gloom that so many games are these days. I like the fairytale type story, and want to find out who killed the king, and what's with the love story. I only gave it four stars because the map, although jumpable to this place, and that, doesn't tell you where action is still needed, There is a lot of coming and going, the palace is huge, so the map is good in that way. The hint is ok in the HO's but useless otherwise. It just tells you to move on, that there's nothing more to do in this place. The journal is a little bit of help in saying what you need to do or find, but that's about it. As a result you don't know just where to go or what to do, so you jump from room to room on the map, hoping to find what ever there is to do there, if anything. That's a bit annoying, but I'm still buying it...I just view that as a challange, and hope whatever games these developers come up with next have better hints and better maps. The music fit the time period but I seldom keep the music on in games, unless I really like it, and even then it can become a distraction after awhile. I think this game is good, and that some of you will like it. I'd give it a try. I almost didn't try it because of the negative comments it got from so many players. But I like to see for myself, and I'm glad I did. Everyone has different tastes in games.
I recommend this game!

I like this game a lot. You can play it timed, or relaxed. I always play relaxed because I like to kick back and enjoy a game at my leisure instead of feeling hurried...that takes the fun out of the games, for me. In fact, I won't play a match 3 without the choice of timed or relaxed. The playing field is nice and big, the items in it are different enough that they're easy to see. They change, off and on.The graphics are good, in a fairy tale way, which I like. You help build a city, which you can do as you gain points/money. The music is beautiful...I seldom listen to game music but this one caught my ear. I'd like to have it in my music library! It's very relaxing and not intrusive at all as you're playing, and it fits the time period well. The only thing I could wish for is more weapons to use, but the ones there are, suffice. There may be more down the road because I haven't finished the game yet. I bought it after playing the demo, and I'm not quite half way through it yet. It a nice long game, you get your money's worth. It's an enjoyable game and I do recommend it. If you're big on match 3 games you'll like this one.
I recommend this game!

For a different match 3 game, this one has it all. There's other things to do, along with the match 3. You have a puzzle to do after each level, you take pictures of wildlife, and earn money to buy things, like trees, etc. It's a game about bringing the habitat back to life that will draw the animals, fish, birds, and other critters back to the area. When you take a picture of each critter info is added to it telling what it is, and other info. That's very interesting. The playing field moves as you play, and you travel around it looking for the things you need to complete the level. I wasn't sure I'd like that feature but it's different and fun. You don't see the whole playing field while playing, but there is a small square on the bottom left of the screen that has a map of the area that shows you the shape of the field, and when you get so many points you can click on the map and go to other areas that you haven't checked out yet. You get neat items to blow areas up, like a tornado, pickax, earthquake, and other things. After so many levels you'll come to areas that are blocked off with vines, rocks, and a river. You get the items you need to go further as you get points. For instance, if you come to a river you get a raft to cross it, a pickax to get through rocks, etc. This game is really a lot of fun, and I like it better than any other match 3 game that I have, and I have many of them. I highly recommend this game. If you like match 3 games you'll love this one.

I got this game as one of my freebies for filling my punch card, so I had to get this SE instead of the CE. I liked the game, good graphics, good storyline, good sounds. I didn't care for the ending...rather abrupt, but I'm not buying the CE to get the real ending. I felt kind of cheated with the ending, but all in all it's a good game. The only thing I didn't like about it was no map, so there's going back and forth a lot and that is one thing I do not like doing in a game. I seldom buy a game that has no map. I wish the game makers would add maps to ALL games. The lack of a map is why I gave it four stars and not five. The hint only told you iwhether or not there was anything more to do at a particular scene, so that wasn't much help. Be sure to check the journal out because some of the objects you'll need are in there. The mini games are ok, the usual ones just looking different, but some were new, at least to me. I skipped a few.I usually don't listen to the music on games but I did on this one. I liked it, and it wasn't obtrusive with the game play. HO's were not hard, the objects were not tiny or hard to find, no dark scenes to strain your eyes trying to find them. I will play it again, down the road. I'm not sorry I chose it as one of my freebies. It's a pretty good game, and I recommend it.

I love this game! I have the first of this sequel and liked it enough to buy it before becoming a member of BF, but I like this game even more! The graphics are wonderful, I like the music even though I seldom have the music turned on in games, but I left it on for this one. The story was great, the HO's were different, a new kind of interaction in some, and plenty of mini games to play. Those were different than most, they were not really hard, although I did have to skip a few that I just couldn't get. I love the art work of all the characters and scenes; being in art myself I can appreciate how good it is in this game, and the amount of work that went into it. I knew I was going to buy this game fifteen minutes into the demo, so I quit that and bought it. Took me seven hours to play, but I like to kick back and relax while playing games. Plus I took time to look at all the wonderful graphics, and also time to get more coffee, tend to the cats, and let the dog in and out. lol I can't wait for the next sequel to this game! I hope it's soon!
I recommend this game!

I opened the game, and really liked the music that was playing, and I seldom listen to the music on games. From what little I saw, the graphics were outstanding. Then I quit before the first riddle was finished. Why? I really really don't like games that are timed. I play games to kick back and relax and the last thing I want is for the games to be timed. Too bad, I was really looking forward to playing this game. I downloaded it today, along with the other riddle game 'The Mayan Princess'. After seeing the first one I decided to go ahead and check out the princess one in the hopes that maybe it wouldn't be timed. Alas, it was. Why can't game creators give us the option to play timed, or not?? Almost all of the new games these days DO give us that option; in fact it's not even considered in most of them, it's a given that they're not timed. From what little I saw of both these games I believe I would have enjoyed playing them. I wish they had not been timed.
I don't recommend this game.
