I was happy to see another match 3 BF offered today, and I wasn't disappointed this time. I own the first 2 of this match 3 game and I like this one even more than the last one. You have the choice of playing relaxed or timed, and there's an occasional hidden objects to find. I won't state all that it has since other players have already done that in the comments. This is a pretty good match 3 game, and I think most of you match 3 players will like it. Enjoy!
I've been waiting for a new match3 game, so I was happy to see this. That didn't last, I'm sorry to say. There's not much to this game, and it's not a new one. It's very repititious, you don't get to build or make anything like you do with newer match3 games. You do get to play it relaxed if you wish, so that's one plus. I found it very boring. But, give it a try, you might like it. I see from the comments that some do like it, but it's not a buy for me.
This game would have been fine except for the fact that you had limited moves. If you didn't make it you had to do the same level over. You had no choice in the matter. I also don't care for drag and click method. You have no choice in that either. Too bad, because I've been waiting on a match3 game for awhile now. I get tired of hidden object games, although I still like them; but I like to switch to other games, too. Imo there's not enough match 3 being offered. I notice there's a lot of time management games offered frequently, and for the life of me I just don't see the attraction. Please BF, give us more match3's. You have some really good ones, which I own, but I'd like to see more offered. As for this game, I know some gamers like limited moves, so give it a try. It's just not for me.
I own the first one, but I'm more than ready for this game to be changed to a match-3. That was done with Farmscapes and it's one of the best match-3's that I have. I won't be buying this game. I wish BF would bring on more match-3's. I'm getting burned out on HO's. And what's with all the time management games?? For the life of me I just don't see the attraction. </rant>

I purchased the first Queen's Garden not that long ago, and I was thrilled to see this second one come along. I bought it before I even tried it out, which I seldom ever do, and I'm glad I did. Like the first one you build a garden and what a garden this is! It's huge! You have to move the screen around to see it all, that's how big it is. I enjoy building the garden as well as I like the actual game play. There are so many plants, etc to choose from, unlike the first game, and you can put them any place you choose; plus you build the walkways tile by tile in any direction that you want to. On the game play the objects are nice and big just like the first game. You can play timed, relaxed, restricted moves, and you can choose to play it relaxed without vines growing on the playing field. I choose the latter. I don't like match 3 games that have vines and stuff show up to undo all you do. I love that there are these four different ways to choose from in this game. There are differences with the birds in this one, you get a bird by making combo matches etc. and you can remove all of one kind of tile by putting the bird on the tile of your choosing. The tile has to be next to the bird. Then a whole bunch of birds appear and they remove all of that same tile that you choose. There are other 'weapons' you can get on the playing field to help you out, but there's none on the side that you can place wherever you want. But it works out fine the way it is. This game is much much longer than the first Queen's Garden, and you can also move the plants around to different places if you decide to, at no cost. If you want to remove a plant or object it will cost you a little money, but no a whole lot. There's also what they call 'man made objects' that you can buy, and you buy those with jewels that you get on the playing field. You buy the plants with money you get at the end of each play. I liked the first game so much I've played it about six times, and I still enjoy it. I can't say much about the music on this one because I don't play the music on match-3 games; only once in a great while. I like the sounds better on the first one, but they're good on this one, too. I do miss the queen saying "OH" as she does in the first one. lol Plus I like the sound of breaking glass on the first one and this one doesn't have the glass sound. I love match3 games that let you build things, and I wish we'd get more of those instead of al the HO's we get these days. I like the HO's but I switch to match 3's when I get tired of those. If you like match 3's that let you create a garden and buildings you'd like one titled Babylonia. It's one of my favorites. And now this Queen's Garden 2 is on that same list of favorites, as well as the first Queen's Garden. BF, how about giving us more match 3 games?! :-) In any case, this is a very enjoyable game to play, and I know it will be one I play more than once. Enjoy!

I love match-3 games, so I was happy to see this, but not for long. I have no idea if it's timed because I didn't see any choice for playing timed or causual, and there's no choice of how to play. The worse thing is, imo, it's straight match 3 with nothing to build or make, and gets boring fairly soon. Those are old hat games. These days we've come to expect more for our money on match 3's. I like the ones where you build cities, etc, or grow a garden, whatever, instead of straight match 3. Boring! The only thing good about it, imo, is the playing field is nice and large, and the art work is good. That's it. Sorry, but it's a thumbs down for me. If you like straight match-3 with nothing else to do, then you'll like this.
I love a good match 3 game and was pleased to see this one come up. I was disappointed with it. The constant moving of the tiles was distracting and gave me a head, and eye, ache. I was prepared to buy it. It has the features we gamers like, the choice of playing timed or relaxed, etc. but I couldn't get into the game because of the constand movement. Why was that necessary to do?? Another reason I didn't like it was on the HOS the shadows were so small it was really hard to see what they were, and there's too much small clutter on the areas where you find the things. I found myself using the hint on the HOS and I don't like doing that. Sadly, I won't be buying this game. I have the other Jewel games but I'm passing on this one.
I bought this game right after playing the demo and I've already played it three times. It's so cute! I love the little "OH" sound that the queen makes as she walks through the garden, and I especially really like the game sounds. I love the tinkle of the ice breaking, and all the other weird sounds. The playing field is nice and large with different objects that are colorful, and you can play timed, untimed, and/or restricted # of moves. I play untimed with no restrictions. You build the queen's garden as you collect money and you can choose between three different bushes, pots, etc for the one you want. I do wish the game was longer, and I have to say that the queen looks more like the king's daughter than his wife. lol In any case, I really enjoy playing this game and I think you will, too. I know the king and queen are cartoon looking, but that just adds to the fun. I play hidden objects games as well, but I wish they'd give us more match-3 games...especially like this one!
I really like this game. I have the other games that are along the same lines, Gardenscapes, Mansion Makeover, etc, and my favorite, Farmscapes, that's a match 3 instead of a HOS. In fact, it's my favorite match 3 game. I wish they would do more like that, but I still like this new one. I like games where I get to decorate a house, etc.. Instead of a dog, this time you get a cat and you get to name it, and the main character is a woman, although Austin (Mansion Makeover, Gardenscapes) calls her on the phone, and gave her flowers. The woman is a writer and buys this old house in the country, and of course it has to be fixed up and decorated...new furniture, floors, etc. The HOS are similar as the other games of this ilk, and the extra hints are in the HOS as the other games are. The camera that shows you briefly where some of the objects are, a thermometer that makes objects glow hot or cold for a brief time, and a compass that puts little arrows that point in the direction of the objects near the names of the people buying the objects, also for a brief time. You can play casual or timed. I played casual, and bought the game as soon as the demo ended. The gal talks as she's walking around, plays with the cat, etc and you buy a bird cage and the bird flys around the room. It's a fun game, and I was hoping that a new one would come out, and here it is. Now if only they'd do another one with match 3 like Farmscapes, that would be great. I recommend this game, and if you like this genre I'm sure you'll like this one, too.
I really enjoyed this game. I see that other commenters have pretty well described the characters and story line, so I won't go into that. The art work in this game is awesome, loved the music (I don't always listen to game music), I liked all the sound effects, and it's not all dark and gloomy like so many games are these days. What darkness there is isn't so dark that one can't see, so that's a plus. The HO's are interactive, and not too hard to find, but I did wonder at the fact that one of the objects was a phone, which were not around in that day and age. I like the objects to fit the time period, but that was no biggy. It has a good map, which is a big plus for me, you can jump from place to place and it shows where there is action to do. I don't mind the going back and forth if there's a good map. Some of the mini games are new, I did skip some that were old hat, so to speak, but I especially liked the one where the person has to travel to the palace, and the one that you had to paint; I like these types of mini games more than the usual ones, like, having to move objects to a particular place but when you move one the others move as well; I have no patience with those types so I usually skip those. The length of the game was just right, but I was taken aback by the ending; it ended rather abruptly, but the bonus game ironed that out. I did like the characters, and was glad to see the direction they ended up in. All in all, a very good game and I look forward to another with these same main characters. Enjoy!
