The Penguin movie must have been a success, because the Penguins are going on a much deserved vacation! The whole family is heading to the South Pole, and hopefully they'll discover some vacation mementos to decorate that never-ending garden.
Fantasy Mosaics 22: Summer Vacation, still has 6 different color bubbles availlable, that are bright, cheery and very colorful. You can switch between the color bubbles to help you solve these colorful griddlers, and you can earn a Gold trophy if you make no mistakes, a Silver trophy if you make one mistake and a Bronze trophy if you make two mistakes, three mistakes require you to replay the level. You will also earn up to three gold Stars if you don't use any hints, one star is deducted each time you use a hint. Therefore, it is possible to make a mistake or two but still earn 3 stars as long as you don't use any available hints.
This is a griddler or mosaic type puzzle game where you fill in and cross of cells on various sized grids, using logic, so you'll never have to guess. (unlike some griddler games) They aren't easy puzzles to solve at times, but I love the challenge. If you are new to mosaic games, I suggest trying one of the earlier versions of Fantasy Mosaics. There are groups of numbers located on each column and row of the grid, each group of numbers must be separated by at least one blank or crossed off cell. Sometimes it's easier to figure out where numbers can't possibly fit to reduce the amount of cells and narrow the playing field down a bit. Some cells contain bonuses such as extra hints, extra mistakes allowed or an extra pickaxe which allows you to choose which cell you want a hint on. There is a Sun icon as well that when fully charged, will give you a mega hint, filling in or crossing off a 3x3 area of your choice.
The one feature that makes Fantasy Mosaics stand out from the rest of the griddler games, is the vibrant array of colors available, and now there's six different colors used to make the pictures even better. In this version, I think the pictures are really interesting, and really pop with all the new colors added. It can also help you solve the puzzle when you get stuck, because you can switch to another color which ultimately narrows down the available cells. Unlike many griddler games, these pictures actually make sense, because they have six different colors you know what image you have created.
This is my favorite Mosaic Griddler series and is one of the best available, and certainly the most colorful. This is a must have game for griddler geeks and an immediate purchase for this geek. I'll spend the entire day playing it, enjoy

I was just saying on my review for Redemption Cemetery: Embodiment of Evil (standard edition) that the demos don't always reflect the game in its entirety. This game is a perfect example of that, because I really hated the demo. The first 10 or 15 minutes of the demo starts out with good potential, but then it just goes stale once you make it out of the cave. I wasn't even considering this game for purchasing, but I needed a final game for the BOGO sale and thought why not. I'm still not thrilled with this game, in fact, I haven't finished the entire game yet, but it does get slightly more entertaining after the demo. Personally, I thought the best feature this game had going for it was with the collectible Owls, which is in every scene of the Collector's Edition, at least one of which Morph. Here's what you can expect to find in both editions to help you decide which version is right for you if you decide to buy it:
In January of 1912, your husband arrived in Siberia brimming with excitement at the possibility of finding a legendary tomb. This is no ordinary tomb, this is the crypt that holds the remains of a woman scorned. A vengeful woman who went on a murderous spree, killing anyone and everyone responsible for her broken heart. Four months later, Dave's expedition team located the infamous tomb, but no one has been heard from since. He and his team are presumed to be dead, but somehow, he's reaching out to his beloved wife, with cries for help! Has Dave unleashed 200 years of fury from a vengeful spirit (sounds more like a Spirits of Revenge plot doesn't it?)
I must admit, I had a hard time getting through the demo, I was utterly bored with the storyline and the mundane tasks at hand. The only features that got me through it, was because some of the mini games were entertaining, and I really liked the Hidden Collectible Owls (they are more blended and challenging than they are in the League of Light series). In the Collector's Edition version, each scene has at least one Owl, but most locations have two. (there is a pull out tab that tells you how many are in that current scene) One of the Owls are simply well blended into the scenery, but the second Owl is a fairly slow moving Morph, which was super entertaining, I wish they all morphed! There are 80 Owls total, hidden within 36 different locations, and once you have found all of them, a Hidden Bonus Chapter will be unlocked, therefore you get 2 bonus chapters with the Collector's Edition!
The Hidden Objects are basic and I think they lack imagination. There are Silhouetted Shape finds, Interactive List finds and some that require finding and Replacing Misplaced items. There are also Zoom Zone HOP's that have a handful of items to find as well. Remember the good ole days when objects were actually hidden because they were cleverly blended into the scenes? Well, forget them, because these are just junk piles with objects strewn about a room, and plain ole boring.
The Mini Games weren't all that bad, and are this games only saving grace in my opinion, but I haven't come across any of them that are really challenging. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Place torn card fragments correctly.
2) Restore the symbols on the paper in the correct order by selecting Roman Numeral cards in order, than clicking on the symbols that are displayed on the cards as each new card tells a story.
3) Select and place the cards on their corresponding dolls.
4) Match the bottom beads to the top image by swapping columns of beads.
5) Complete the central inscription by placing moving symbols onto the central symbols.
6) Place the correct items onto the correct figurines, using directional arrows and interacting with each figurine's items to expose other items.
REFLECTIONS OF LIFE GAMES AVAILABLE:
Call of the Ancestors (CE 8-13-16) Dark Architech (CE 1-14-16) Equilibrium (CE 4-18-15) Hearts Taken (CE 5-13-17) Tree of Dreams (CE 6-21-14)
The Collector's Edition has 8 Music Soundtracks, replayable Videos, replayable Hidden Object Scenes and Mini Games, 11 Concept Art pictures, 16 Wallpapers, 15 Achievements to earn, 80 Collectible Owls some of which Morph, a built in Strategy Guide, a Bonus Chapter and a Hidden Bonus Chapter (Gemini Hearts) once all Owls have been collected.

Dream Fruit Farm is a Match 3 game with two types of Match goals, Limited Time, (unless playing in Relaxed, Untimed Mode) and Limited Moves. In the Limited Moves type, it does make it a little more challenging, but I've never been a fan of this feature. The biggest complaint I have, is the fact that after swapping a tile to make a match, you have to wait for all the tiles to stop dropping before you can make another match, and when it's a Limited Time level, this can really take away valuable time, not to mention how aggravating it can be. Most Levels require you to make a specific number of matches of specific tiles, as well as making matches over red cells.
Large matches will give you Bonuses on the board that must be used in a color specific match to detonate, a Bomb is earned when you match 5 or more tiles in a T formation, Lightning is earned when you match 5 or more tiles in an L formation, a Cross Burst is earned when you make matches of 6 or 7 tiles and destroys all tiles in a cross formation. As you progress, Power-ups will recharge with every Match 4 or more tiles, such as the Hammer that destroys a tile of your choice.
There are the usual blocked obstructions such as Ropes, Double Ropes, Wooden Crates, and Frozen tiles. These obstructions require a match made next to them, or with tiles the same as shown inside the blockage. With the money you earn on each level, you can build your Dream Fruit Farm, starting with fixing up the old farmhouse, building a barn, and eventually planting Fruit trees.
For me, this was just an average Match 3 game that offers no new or exciting features. The fact that I had to wait for all tiles to stop doing their matching thing, before I could make another match, was annoying enough to discourage me from wanting to own this game. If you are interested in some really awesome and addicting Match 3 games try a few of my personal favorites: Cradle of Rome, Cradle of Rome II, Cradle of Egypt, Laruaville or even Imperial Island and Jewel Match Royale.

The Dead Reckoning series is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get, a great game, or a dud. Run Forest, run away from this game, it's not SLEIGHTLY boring, it's really boring! Broadbeach Cove, The Crescent Case and Snowbird's Creek were duds, but Death Between the Lines, Silvermoon Isle and Brassfield Manor were fairly decent games. The only thing Dead Reckoning has going for it, is that you look for clues HOP style to deduce whether or not the suspects are telling the truth. This is supposed to be a Murder Mystery, a Whodunit, but this Collector's Edition choose to offer 36 Hidden Bunnies wearing a top hat! That certainly is a whodunit feature, who-dun decided to include it? These fuzzy bunnies aren't even hidden, they are large and in charge, but then again, it's pretty difficult to hide a Rabbit wearing a Top Hat in a somewhat realistic setting.
Illusionists are cool, but nothing's cool about a dead illusionist! Dead Reckoning has given us another murder mystery to solve, so somebody has to die to give us a murder case to solve. When one of the famous Garibaldi Brothers Illusionists is found dead under mysterious circumstances, baby brother Santiago is left to carry on the torch alone. Who's responsible? Could it be the film director who doesn't want anything standing in the way of the most realistic film he's ever directed? Could it be the owner of the The Stephens Tower Hotel, the subject of the cutting edge film? Could it be Francisco's angry girlfriend, or baby brother Santiago who may think that three's a crowd? Whoever is responsible, one thing's for sure, Ms. (Jim lol gramps) Douglas, will surely have plenty of material to write about! And the show must go on.....
The Hidden Object Scenes have some old familiar Dead Reckoning, "find clues that prove truthfulness or deceit" when interrogating people involved with the subject. There are also Interactive, Progressive Silhouetted Shape finds, Interactive List finds, and finding items that describe two items when combined. You can play an alternate Bubble Shooting game.
The Mini Games are okay, but nothing spectacular. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Stack the cubes according to the diagram, by pressing an adjacent tile that is lower than a cube.
2) Release all the straight jacket belts in the correct order, all buckles must be clicked once without backtracking.
3) Cross reference 2 symbols to receive the code for the safe.
DEAD RECKONING GAMES AVAILABLE:
Brassfield Manor (CE 3-12-15) Broadbeach Cove (CE 2-20-16) Death Between the Lines (CE 10-29-16) Silvermoon Isle (CE 7-12-14) Sleight of Murder (CE 6-10-17) Snowbird's Creek (CE 8-27-16) The Crescent Case (CE 7-23-15)
This Collector's Edition has 14 replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 19 replayable Mini Games, replayable Bubble Shoot games, 7 Wallpapers, 8 Concept Art pictures, 36 Hidden Bunnies, a Souvenir Room, 5 Videos, 9 Music Soundtracks, 14 Achievements, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter.

I always wait for a "buy one, get one" Collector's Edition sale from Big Fish, and I usually buy all of the new CE games offered. Usually, because I only buy the games that I deem to be a 4 or 5 star rated game. If I gave the new release a 3 star rating, and I need a second game for the BOGO sale, I consider whether or not other games in the series were good. Sometimes a game gets much more interesting after the demo, because the plot just needed more time to develop than the demo portion allowed for. Sometimes games that seemed really good in the demo, take a fast nosedive because the demo plot played all its cards and there was nothing left to build upon, and you could care less about finishing the game, much less the bonus chapter. My point here, is that you can't really judge a game by its demo, and this game was a solid game throughout, but it did have a few dull moments and a lot of back and forthing, and of course it had too many HOP scenes that were repeated in the same scene. Generally, I prefer the Collector's Edition of most games, here's what you can expect in both versions:
This Redemption Cemetery is a cemetery so full of evil, that not even the living dare to enter! No one leaves, not the living and certainly not the dead, you'd be wise to heed the cemetery's grave warning: Only once, only in light. (good enough for me I'm outta here!) The locals built a church within the cemetery, and summoned Kirkogrimm, the Keeper of light so lost souls could acquire the light, and find their way to eternity. But even he was cursed by evil, feeding upon their pain and removing all hope for peace in the afterlife, he is now the Embodiment of Evil itself. Legends say that only a mortal with a pure soul can find the Light of Souls, and release the suffering. That pure soul, is yours, it has to be, or you will remain in darkness like all those who have come before you, because Kirkogrimm doesn't allow anyone out alive! The only way to destroy him is to release the restless souls contained within the three pillars of the cursed, before the break of dawn. To break the curse, you must find a crystal for each soul, and activate them with ancient runes on the church's altar. You must break the chains of the each soul not yet dead, and enter a portal into the worst day of that person's life, and right the wrongs to give them redemption and save their souls from the Embodiment of Evil!
Finally! A decent Redemption Cemetery! Usually, this series offers mundane collections, but in the Collector's Edition version, the Collectible Cards are kind of interesting. There are 14 different cards, and each one requires you to collect 3 Grave Tokens to refute various urban legends. Some of the legends are really interesting, especially once you get to read the reason the legend started in the first place. I also love the newer feature RC has added lately that give you statistics after each Hidden Object Scene, with your accuracy percentage, the number of selections you made, the time it took to complete, and the hints used if any. You then receive Bronze, Silver and Gold Tombstone awards according to your statistics. You can disable this full screen pop up, as well as the 30 Achievement popups, if you don't like this feature. These features are well worth the CE price, so if you're like me, and love interesting collectibles, consider the CE version, if not, this version is perfectly fine without them.
The Hidden Object Scenes have one feature I hate, they repeat the scenes a second time, not just some of them, all of them! Other than that, they aren't bad, and they are varied each time with Keywords in sentences, Interactive Silhouetted Shapes finds, Multiple finds and good old fashioned Text Listed item finds. If you want to achieve 100% accuracy, you cannot click on interactive objects for a black bar tip, however because it counts as a miss-click.
The Mini Games range from fairly simple, to medium difficulty, but so far nothing to difficult or frustrating. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Enter the code by connecting the dots to match the clue shown.
2) Open all lock pieces by dragging the skulls left or right, dragging one skull may affect others.
3) To ask a question, recreate the image by dragging horizontal lines the first time, vertical lines the second time and horizontal and vertical lines the third time.
4) Select and drag the correct rune sections to completely fill the center symbol shown.
5) Select and drag lines across dots in one complete line to recreate the symbol shown.
6) Select matching symbols by clicking on two clouds at a time to reveal hidden symbols.
7) Correctly place stained glass pieces in three different puzzles.
8) Follow the directions to play an arcade game. (I was jotting down the puzzle info in my notes and the game finished all by itself correctly even though I hadn't yet started the game!)
9) Put your hockey team into the correct starting position and click the start button to try out your formation.
10) Throw basketballs into a tiny moving net until you score the required points.
11) Select and place the missing road pieces correctly.
REDEMPTION CEMETERY GAMES AVAILABLE:
At Death's Door (CE 5-16) Bitter Frost (CE 12-13) Children's Plight (CE11-11) Clock of Fate (CE 9-15) Curse of the Raven (CE 11-11) Embodiment of Evil (CE 5-11-17) Grave Testimony (CE 8-12) Night Terror's (CE 2-17) Salvation of the Lost (CE 4-13) The Island of the Lost (CE 3-15)

Once upon a time, the town of Hamelin had a rat infestation, yuck! The town magistrate offered a reward to anyone who could rid the town of their rodents. As luck would have it, a traveling flute player was able to do just that. He played a beautiful melody, and led all of the rats away from Hamelin. Ah, but when the flautist asked for his well deserved reward, the magistrate accused him of trickery, and refused payment! The flautist became angry, and once again, played a beautiful melody on his flute, only this time, all of the children of Hamelin disappeared! The townspeople began to panic, rightfully so, and called upon the League of Light, for help. (perhaps they should have called for H.E.L.P)
Does this story sound familiar? Well, that's because it's the same exact story as Fabled Legends: The Dark Piper and a lesser known game called Oddly Enough: Pied Piper! I must admit, I was a little disappointed that League of Light chose a story that is almost identical to the story in Fabled Legends. That story also takes place in Hamelin, with the same scenario, Rat infestation, traveler plays flute, rats follow him, traveler is denied payment, so traveler kidnaps all of the children (wouldn't it just be easier to make all of the rats return, perhaps return another town's rats as well?) detective is called upon to solve the case of the missing children, and of course, the flautist has revenge issues. The only difference is, I don't recall the detective from Fabled Legends, having a tiny, glowing eyed, scarecrow, as his assistant, but it has been a few years since I played that game.
You guessed it, Tom has returned, the young boy who was unfortunate enough to be the victim of a curse that turned him into a scarecrow. Since you haven't found a cure for the curse, you may as well put him to work, fetching items you need but can't reach, and going places you wouldn't dare venture, like sending him down the sewer drain! You gotta feel sorry for him, after all, he's really just kid! If you don't care for a sidekick at your disposal, you can choose to ditch Tom and leave him at home, right at the get go, which supposedly doesn't affect the plot of the game. When I played the beta version, I chose to let him hang with me, and I'm sure glad I did, there's no way I would have gone down that dirty sewer!) but when I played this Collector's Edition, I chose not to use Tom, and instead of Tom doing all the work, I simply used inventory items instead, however, poor Tom just hangs his head low to show you just how upset he is that you chose not to take him with you, and I feel terrible for disappointing my little scarecrow buddy!
The Hidden Object Scenes were just okay in my book, neither bad nor epic. There are smaller Zoom Zone HOP's throughout the game, that require you to find a handful of fragments that form together for a necessary inventory item. Some of the Mini Games offered are actually more like HOP's but are classified as puzzles. Most of the Hidden Object Scenes are Interactive, Progressive Silhouetted Shape finds, but my personal favorite was a scene that described objects in the form of a riddle, which was way more entertaining, in my opinion.
The Mini Games are fairly easy puzzles to solve, nothing new, but I found them to be fairly entertaining too. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Rotate circles to load 3 different tokens that are associated with the creatures shown.
2) Use partial clues to figure out which way the lock arrows should point.
3) Find 4 symbols hidden in each scene as shown, during a story of the Dark Pied Piper.
4) Arrange the Themis Statuettes so their hands link together.
5) Another story requiring 4 symbols to be found on each page, this time, some symbols require finding and uncovering them.
6) Click on the tokens in a specific order by trial and error.
7) Find and place misplaced items by dragging them to the correct and logical place.
LEAGUE OF LIGHT GAMES AVAILABLE:
Dark Omens (CE 7-20-13) Edge of Justice (CE 6-8-17) Silent Mountain (CE 9-10-15) The Gatherer (CE 7-14-16) Wicked Harvest (CE 10-9-14)
This Collector's Edition has 6 Music Soundtracks, 18 Wallpapers, 36 Concept Art pictures, 9 Achievements (6 of the Achievements have 3 categories) Fresco Puzzle (earn pieces as you earn achievements) 6 Collectible Character Figurines, 24 Hidden Owls (my favorite League of Light feature) a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!

I love a good Match 3 game, like Cradle of Rome, Cradle of Egypt, Laruaville, Jewel Quest or Silver Tales to name a few. Summer in Italy however, bored me to tears, it has nothing new to offer, and the tiles aren't appealing either. This is a Match 3 game that requires you to swap tiles, vertically or horizontally, to make matches of at least 3 identical tiles. You can choose from 3 modes of difficulty, Bronze or Easy that has a hint and skip recharge time of 30 seconds and has no timer. Silver or Medium has a skip an recharge time of 60 seconds and gives you 500 seconds per level. Gold or Hard mode has a hint recharge time of 120 seconds, has no skip feature available and only gives you 300 seconds to finish each level.
The goal of each level is to clear all gold cells by making matches on top of them. Large Matches will earn you a Bomb on the board that can be used in a match to create an explosion that destroys neighboring tiles. Keys can be collected with a single click, and once filled, the key can unlock chests which will unlocks a hidden section of the board. Power-ups can be used once you have clicked on enough icons to charge them, starting with the Caduceus, which destroys a 3 tile radius.
As you progress, the usual obstacles are introduced, such as tiles blocked with single or double ropes, that require one or two matches of whichever tile is blocked, The tiles themselves are unappealing to me personally, cups of coffee, sunglasses, lime drinks, roses and dandelions. There are also Mini Games included and Hidden Object Scenes, but I just couldn't get into this cookie cutter Match 3 game, especially when there are so many fantastic Match 3 games available.

The more patients that arrive, the slower I get, which clearly tells me I shouldn't be a nurse! Oh well, it's still a fun game! As you progress, other Hospital Clinics become available starting in Australia, and eventually Mexico, Canada, Hawaii, New York, England and Japan. In my opinion however, this game doesn't thrill me as a Collector's Edition, therefore I will wait for the Standard Edition before choosing to buy this game.
Patients enter the clinic with their medical issue in a thought bubble, You drag them to a hospital bed, or a chair if no bed is available. (Once in a bed, the patient will no longer lose their "health") The nurse must then call a doctor or the Professor, each doctor has a specific expertise, the Professor can treat any condition. It is the nurse's job to deliver items requested by the doctor, such as getting medicine at the pharmacy or getting the patient's medical chart, or going to the warehouse for supplies. Each item takes up a slot on the nurse's tray which can be upgraded to hold more. A Converter is used to process some of the items, and will need to be picked back up by the nurse when it's ready.
Some patients need to be placed in a Treatment Chamber (sounds medieval?) others require further testing in the Laboratory. The Med-O-Matic Chamber can treat patients without a doctor (now that's more like it!) There is also a DNA matching Mini Game available.
Really the only extras this Collector's Edition seems to offer is a few Wallpapers, a few Bonus Levels and 40 Achievements, none of which I really care about in a Time Management game. Happy Clinic is a fun TM game, but I'll wait for the Standard Edition to be released, enjoy!

This will be a short review because there's not much to say about this game, you know the old saying, "if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything." You can tweak the slider bard to set the difficulty mode from Easy to Normal, to Insane, or anywhere inbetween.
This is such an old school game, you won't need your mouse for this game, you barely need the keyboard, all you really need is 5 keys, W,A,S,D and esc to exit. Use W to fly the ship upward, and S to drill downward to search for Dark Matter. A & D keys will direct the ship left and right.
The goal of the game is to dig and find Dark Matter so you can return to Earth. As you are digging (one square block at a time) you will collect minerals and metals such as copper, zinc or even gold. Once the ships cargo is full, you will have to return to the top to sell the minerals you collect in the Mineral Processor, and you'll need to refuel as well. You can use the money you earn to buy upgrades, tools and new ships.
For me, this game was boring and archaic, who wants to use keyboard keys to play a game? There just isn't anything fun or interesting for my tastes, but it may appeal to sci-fi buffs.

I love a good Tower Defense game, but I wasn't all that thrilled with the first game of this series, Masters of Defense. Arcane Power, however, is an awesome TD game, that has just the right amount of challenge, and fairly decent graphics. You can play in Easy, Normal or Expert modes of difficulty, I played this demo in the Normal mode, and for me, it offered a nice strategic challenge.
Like all Tower Defense games, the object is to build weapons on existing towers to fight the incoming waves of enemy attack, in this game, it is Ore that you are protecting, not a castle. You begin the wave with 25 Lives and can earn Bronze, Silver or Gold status, depending on the amount of lives you have remaining after the entire battle which consists of several waves. You can replay the battle as often as you want, to get a better score, but you can only replay the entire battle, not just a wave or two.
To build a weapon, you need to click on a strategically placed Tower first. A pop up will appear with different kinds of available defense weapons, as well as the cost of these weapons. Once you have earned enough money to purchase them, (the weapon cost changes to white from red) you can then click on the weapon of your choice to instantly receive that weapon. You will earn money from the enemies, each time they expire, and you will earn crystal ore that allows you to purchase upgrades before the next battle begins.
The Forge is the shop, and you can purchase upgrades to each new weapon offered, to make the weapon cheaper or do more damage. Each weapon can be upgraded up to 6 times, because the upgrades work as percentages such as 10% less expensive or 20% more damage. You can also purchase percentages to give you more starting level amounts, more lives, or even a faster recharging wait for weapons such as the Rockfall, a weapon you can click on to make it rain down on enemies that may have slipped through your Tower Defenses.
Each Weapon is designed to wreak havoc upon the different types of Enemy. I absolutely found myself addicted to the gameplay in Gnumz 2. I love to replay the levels whenever an enemy or two slips past the weapons and steals the ore. Each time you restart a level, you know where you have to tweak the defenses, and sometimes you have to tweak it several times to get it right. There is a Fast forward button that will speed up the battle waves, so it doesn't take so long. Give this game a try, its definitely worthy of a coupon, enjoy!
