Based on partial completion of the demo. This game is difficult to say the least. Even with the walk through I still couldn't figure out how to use the 2nd pocket watch. That's when I quit.
This looked, at first glance, a fun game with voice overs, but after a little play it became clear that I couldn't play this game. Having to go back and forth to the walk through is not my idea of fun.
This game does not fill the screen and the "collectibles", coal and diamonds, are very tiny. The HOS weren't challenging.
Please play the demo and read some reviews to make an informed decision. If you need additional information the forum is always a great place to look. For me this is a no buy and will not recommend it.
I don't recommend this game.

Weird Park: Broken Tune Collector's Edition
Explore a haunted amusement park in Weird Park: Broken Tune! Investigate a rash of “accidental” deaths and solve the case!
Based on the demo I've decided I like the game but not the CE price. I've no idea what the bonus chapter offers but it's not worth the CE cost since there is no map, no voice overs, no collectibles, and no morphing items. If it had had those things, then yes I would have purchased it as a CE. Since it doesn't I'll buy the SE instead.
The game is pretty simple and flows nicely. However there are a lot of locations to keep up with. Writing them down might just be helpful -- that's what the map is for and alas no map.
The music is so haunting. I didn't even turn down the volume -- I thought it was that great. If you're slow solving the HOS the music ends for a short period which I didn't like. It made me feel like I didn't complete the task in a timely manner. I always play casual mode because I like to take my time and have fun.
Play the demo and read some reviews. For me I'm not going to buy the CE but I will recommend it. I'm going to purchase the SE.
Based on 15 minutes of the demo I was so frustrated I just couldn't go on. I guess I was actually a little angry at some of the senseless things I did.
One scene has a bookcase with lots of books. A little eye shows you need to look -- you look and the page is blank. I must have done this to a dozen books -- all blank. Finally the last book has something but you don't know what it is and there was no dialogue to tell you what should go there.
The next thing that really made me angry was in the same room in the HOS where there was a white candle on a white window sill -- you absolutely couldn't see it. The next that happened was, using the hint again to find a bug, I was pointed to a drawer that I had opened earlier and it was empty -- now it had a bug in it. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me, fool me thrice and I won't buy your game!
Play the demo and read some reviews. For me it's a no buy and I certainly don't recommend it.

Eternal Night: Realm of Souls
Return sunlight to ancient Egypt! Explore ghostly underworlds, solve mystical puzzles, and face off against the gods themselves!
Based on 30 minutes of the demo. Maybe it's just me but I don't like games that make me think too hard. I mean I want to get on with the story and play, not read endless dialogue and wait for scenes to load. No, No, No!!!!!
I think the difference could have been a big plus for this game if it had been just a tad bit easier to find very well hidden inventory items. I really gave up when I reached what looked like a puzzle but there was no instruction at all and nothing that gave me a clue what I should be looking for. I'm just not into mind reading and that's exactly what you have to be. Those gamers who complain about games being too easy (some I agree with) have found a jewel. This game gives out very little information. Even the hint isn't very helpful.
Please play the demo and read some reviews. For me this is a no buy and I can't recommend it.

Epic Escapes: Dark Seas
You among other passengers are trapped and to be able to escape you need to discover the secret of the Dark Seas!
Based on the demo which takes you pretty far into the game, I was bored, bored, bored! The story line was uninteresting - girl has bad dreams and you relive it with her. She's on a ship that is sinking and she and a little girl she finds are trying to do something (get out - but go where?) Stupid IMHO.
You have to pick up life savers for hints, but you get more hints than life savers you pick up and the hints work well.
You mainly go from scene to scene to solve a HOS. You also pick up a few inventory items. Of course the inventory doesn't lock -- I hate not having that option.
There are no voice overs and the dialogue you need to read doesn't stay up long enough to read. Just because I'm from a small town in Texas doesn't mean I'm a slow reader.
You must play the demo and read some of the reviews. For me this is a no buy and a complete waste of an hour and now another 10 minutes to write a review. Just be forewarned.
I don't recommend this game.

Downtown Secrets
Discover the Downtown Secrets! After mysteriously disappearing for three years, Marie is back in Alex’s life and needs his help!
This came up in my "games you might like" so I downloaded and decided during the demo I just had to buy it (with a coupon of course) to see how the story ended.
It's a detective story -- but the main character is a lawyer who is called by a previous girlfriend to come see her in jail where she's being held on a charge of murder.
I wish there had been voice overs because there is a lot of dialogue to read. You travel from scene to scene mainly solving HOS but the dialogue keeps you interested in this adventure story. The hint recharges quickly and I had to use it a few times. Some of the items are very small and therefore hard to find.
There were several puzzles of which I skipped the majority for lack of understanding what I was supposed to do but the skip loads fairly quickly. The puzzle isn't solved for you to see so I still don't know how to do them.
Play the demo and read some reviews. For me I liked it enough to buy and I'm not sorry I did. It was a little short, but a very enjoyable game. Different from the usual.
I recommend this game!

Celtic Lore: Sidhe Hills
Step into the world of Celtic folklore, where myth becomes reality and legends come to life in Celtic Lore: Sidhe Hills!
Based on the demo. I found this game boring. Finding items in a list jumped from scene to scene. I guess I like things orderly - this is not.
I just don't know what to say in this review. The game started off with voice overs but after the first scene they went away. I think voice overs would have kept me interested.
Play the game yourself and read some reviews to make up your mind. For me this is a no buy and I can't recommend it.
Based on demo completion. This is mainly a HOS. There are no inventory items to find, at least not in the hour demo. Each scene is presented with a list, silhouettes, or riddles to find objects which are mostly too tiny to see clearly. I used the hint button about 3-4 times in each scene which had between 15-19 objects to find.
If you like just HOS which are far too small to distinguish then you might like this game -- I didn't.
Please play the demo and read some reviews. For me, this is a no buy and I don't recommend it.

Escape from Thunder Island
Join the more-brave-than-brilliant aviatrix Rita James on a quest to rescue her kidnapped father in Escape from Thunder Island!
This review is based on 20 minutes of the demo. First the music volume was extremely loud. Of course I went immediately to options and turned down the volumes. However when I pressed play and logged in the volumes all returned to their extremely loud sound. I turned it down again. I only mention this because I take these same steps with every game I play and never has this happened.
Secondly I never saw any of the 2 cut scenes -- I could hear the volume but not see the characters. I kept clicking on the screen and skipped all the dialogue. I have no idea what the story is about.
Items to pick up are very small.
