There are approximately 200 boards in this game, some of which are quite challenging. I played in Advance mode and turned off Tutorial and all help in "Options" at the beginning of the game.
There is a Museum to look in so that you can see your Awards, the Journal and Player Stats.
I really enjoyed playing all these Boards, but the hardest to play I reckon are the Evasion and Pathmaking Boards. When I first played this game, I set my target for at least 16,000 points for each Board. The second time I played the target was at least 18,000 per Board. It just makes it more challenging if you can beat your old score. Some Boards I had to play numerous times to get to my score.
The story line and graphics are great. Good adventure story with Tanya, Soloman, Natalie, Ali and Trevor looking for their brother and friend Raj who was kidnapped. I didn't actually read the journals but I did make sure I watched the story as it unfolded as often they gave you a clue who to use for each Board.
Overall a fantastic and challenging game. I definitely recommend this game for all new fishies as well.
I've played this game in Expert mode a couple of times now. Having read the reviews above about how hard it was, I felt a bit perplexed. Honestly I found the game to be a bit too easy. I was thinking I wished the game had been a lot harder.
The second time I played I just tried to beat my own score from the first time I played the game and to keep above 14,000 points in each puzzle.
There is a lot of reading and listening to do in the game. Sometimes I did read and other times I just got bored and moved through it as fast as I could.
I thought the graphics and music were great.
All in all, a good game for beginners and intermediates who want to get the experience.
- Four modes of play [Casual to Detective] - Voiceovers - Live actors - Achievements Board - Elf to help you - Shop to buy Elf and family toys, etc.
Well, I played Detective mode right through to the end, including the bonus. This meant there was no sparkles, hints or anything. Gawd it was hard - really hard. It took me days to finish this game. DAYS!! Loved every minute of it.
Luckily the hidden object games and mini games were easy, so that didn't hinder me too long from my goals. And what a lot of them there were. I did have to resort to the Strategy Guide a couple of times cause I was so stuck, but most of the time I just slowly figured it out.
I most definitely recommend this game. I know you will love this too. If you play on Detective mode, get comfortable - you're in for a long night (or week!).
Every time I look at the cover of this game, the girl reminds me of Amy Ferra-Fowler from The Big Bang Theory!
Explore the vastness of a ship lost in time, what mysteries will you uncover amidst its Mayan idols, menacing sea creatures, and exotic treasures? Find out in this exciting new Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure game on the open seas!
I played Custom mode throughout the game which took me 7 hours and 40 minutes to play the game, and the Bonus took me 1 hour 56 minutes. This included no skipping or hints of all the hidden objects and mini games.
- There are four modes of play [casual to custom]. - There is a diary. - Voiceovers. - Strategy Guide. - Accomplishment Board. - Integrated map [which you get slightly later on]. - You can play Mahjong instead of finding HOS. - You have to collect: * 32 Humming Birds; * 44 Explorers; * All the beyond morphing objects; * Pieces of the mysterious artefact; and * 32 souls to free. That should keep you busy.
- The HOS are slightly more difficult than normal.
- When playing the game, make sure you check absolutely everywhere as there is a lot to find and collect. So much fun.
- Three modes of play [I played hardcore - no sparkles or hints]. - Live actors [you may see me in the future - hopefully not as a corpse, witch or demon!] - Collect the blue flowers and redeem them to furnish your office at the shop. Go there often cause there's lots to buy. - Hidden objects were very clear and easy to find. - Games were mostly easy - a couple of medium ones. - Graphics and music were just brilliant. - Strategy Guide and hint button if you need them. Experts won't.
Overall an amazing game. Not challenging but really fun and addictive.
- 4 chapters plus a bonus chapter. - 3 modes of play: Casual, Advance, Hardcore. - Achievements board. - A map you can use to jump to locations. - You need to find a total of 60 red flowers (including in the extra gameplay); - Voice Overs; - Live actors [why won't they choose me!]. - Integrated Strategy Guide. - Graphics and music are brilliant. - In the hidden object scenes, sometimes you have to use your inventory items to complete them, which can mean going to different areas of the game and then coming back to the HOS. - Three mini-games [these are linked up with the red flowers]. Hint/Skip also charge up in about 30 seconds or less. The hint can also be used outside the HOS if you get lost in the game. - Very long game, so money well spent.
Overall a fantastic game. Haven't played a game quite like this before. Frustratingly I only got 58 red flowers [I'm hanging my head in shame and silently swearing], so will start again shortly.
