If you need a play-by-play description, check the CE demo's reviews.
I have several of the previous games in this series, so I should have expected the old-school style graphics. Even so, and given the high quality CG graphics of other game developers —Eipix comes readily to mind— I was not overly pleased with the visual aspect of this game.
The music and background sounds are in keeping with the overall, continuing theme of this game series. They are somewhat slow of pace and tempo, and a touch macabre.
The voice-overs were likewise slow of pace but, while the text was informative, the actors did not make much effort to add dramatic tension to the words they speak.
The story is pretty much the same as the previous games in the series —and in other games of similar type by other developers. An evil spirit must be defeated, and you are the only one who can accomplish the deed.
The HO sequences are the usual offerings. In some you have to just find items; in others, you must find objects referred to in the text so as to find other items needed to complete the sequence.
I was quite disappointed with this addition to the Redemption Cemetery series but, if you like old-school, not too challenging games this one may be for you.
My recommendation to buy comes with my usual caveat; play the demo and decide for yourself.
I recommend this game!

The story and game play have been well described by others, so I’ll not duplicate their good work.
The graphics, music, background sounds, and voice-over dialog are all well done —except that I found the accent of the first character that you meet to be a little off from what it was meant to be, upper-class British.
Once again we find ourselves in another era, and once again it is apparently Victorian. At least it appears so from the architecture, horse-drawn carriage, and style of attire seen here.
Okay, but what are those high voltage searchlights doing here! And what am I doing replacing a wire in a live circuit with my bare hands!
Oh, no, the lady just had a massive stone statue fall across her legs! Hurry, get the rope, rig a pulley, and lift that horrible, weighty mass off what surely are her mangled limbs! What, she’s not even scratched, let alone perturbed by this near-death event.
I did not find the story line compelling, nor the characters particularly worthy of my caring what happens to them and cannot recommend this game to you.
As always, play the demo and decide for yourself.
I don't recommend this game.

Well, Eipix has done it again!
When I started to play the demo I thought here we go again, another fight the dragon, find the runes, save the world game —but, suddenly, I discovered that I was really into this game.
Others have described the game in detail, so I’ll not replicate their good efforts.
The graphics, music, background sounds, and voice-over dialog, are all that we have come to expect of this game developer.
Some of the HO sequences and mini-games are really off-the-wall, but in a challenging, not skip-button-reaching manner. One of the things that I have always liked about Eipix mini-games is that if you do hit the skip button you are shown the solution.
There are so many unusual, if not unique, features in this game that I do not hesitate to recommend it for your enjoyment.
If you are a fan of CE game versions, which, if you’ve read any of my other reviews, you know that I am not, then grab this one. I’ll wait for the SE and buy that.
I recommend this game!

Okay, so the graphics are little old school, but that fits with the game's mood and ambiance and does not detract from the overall enjoyment factor.
Others have described the story and play-by-play, so I won't recreate their good efforts.
Background sounds, music, and voice-overs are all very well done, and certainly enhance the game-play experience.
The map, as in all of the Haunted Hotel games, is a very good tool.
The HO sequences are the usual mix, with enough of a twist so that they are not entirely run-of-the-mill. The same can be said of the mini-games.
I'm not a big fan of CE games, which you already know if you've read any of my other reviews, so I'll not comment on the so-called extras —collectibles, morphing objects, and so on.
I have several of the Haunted Hotel games and will add ths one when the SE edition is available.
As always, play the demo and decide for yourself.
I recommend this game!

The review title sums up my review but, if you will, read on.
There are games in which old school graphics are appropriate, this game takes the concept to an extreme that is just awful.
The game play is so slow —pardon me while I yawn— that it almost put me to sleep.
The voice-over dialogue and commentary —of which there is way too much— occasionally is lip-synced, but most often is just sound over static characters.
While listed as a hidden object game, this is not of the genre. It is more of an adventure/mini-puzzle game than anything else.
Eight or ten years ago this game might have been acceptable, but by today's standards —think Eipix games, for example— it has too little of everything that makes playing entertaining. There is just too much wrong with this game to make it even a moderately worthwhile time-waster.
Usually I say play the demo and decide for yourself , but not this time. Don't waste either your download limitation nor your time!
I don't recommend this game.

If you've played other games in this long-running series —I have four or five of them— you'll feel right at home with this new entry in the series.
If you're new to Redemption Cemetery, well, this game won't disappoint you.
Others have described the game play, so I won't replicate their good efforts.
The graphics, background music and sound, as well as the voice-overs, are all well done and appropriate to any particular scene.
While the HO sequences and mini-games are reminiscent of those we've all seen before, there are some very nice variations of the common theme here.
I'm not a big fan of CE game versions, as you know if you've read any of my other reviews, so I won't comment on the so-called extras.
This is no earth-shaking, ground-breaking innovation in these types of games —but it is an enjoyable game to play.
As always, play the demo and decide for yourself.
I recommend this game!

The retro graphics and (another) Victorian era time-frame put me off at first but, as I played, it all came together as being right for this game.
Take note, this is not a game for children! The story, music, graphics —the whole package, in fact— is too intense for the very young or, for that matter, for those whose taste in games does not run to the noir genre and slightly bizarre.
Kudos to whoever selected the background music! It definitely fits the mood and scene wherever in the game you may be.
While there is nothing new in the HO sequences or mini-games, there is enough of a twist to them that they are not too 'ho-hum, here we go again.'
What started for me as an expectation of dull sameness, surprisingly turned into a dark, quirky game that kept me playing.
As always, try the demo and decide for yourself.
I recommend this game!

A familiar story and cast of evil characters, but with enough of a twist to keep things interesting.
The opening teaser sequence is a little gory, but so much as to be over the top.
The graphics, sounds and voice-overs are excellent, as is usual with Eipix games.
The interactive map is very useful as a travel time-saver and, although the game play most often makes movement logical, it's also useful for those moments when you're befuddled.
The HO sequences and mini-puzzles are the usual mixed bag but, again, Eipix puts a nice spin on most of them.
The one major jarring note for me was that the Scots accent of the initial character that you meet —a very sneaky guy, by the way— sounded more like it would feel at home in Ireland than in the Highlands. Oh well, at least the developer tried for some verisimilitude.
All in all, a quite enjoyable game and one I'll use a token to get.
As always, play the demo and decide for yourself.
I recommend this game!

The story line is one we have all seen time and time again: a friend is snatched by an evil being, and only we can effect the rescue. The truth is, and it's difficult to argue against, that there are a finite number of plots, and the best that we can hope for is an interesting variant.
The graphics, background and ambient sounds, as well as voice-overs, are all well done. The lip-sync is little off, but that may just be a processor (cpu) struggling to keep up with the demands of these technologically complex products.
I am not a big fan of CE versions which, if you've read any of my other reviews, you already know, so I won't comment on the so-called extras.
The interactive map is quite useful as a time saver, but you may not need it quite as much as a direction guide since the game-play is more or less obvious.
The HO sequences and mini-puzzles are not too frequent nor too challenging which, for me, is a plus. I play these games to be amused, not frustrated.
I enjoyed playing the demo, but will wait for the SE version to be published and then buy that.
As always, play the demo and decide for yourself.

The story line is quite simple, and often seen: someone is missing and you must find them while, of course, overcoming every stumbling block tossed in your path.
The graphics and sounds are not outstanding, but they are rather nice.
The interactive map is useful, but you probably won't need to use it very often as movement from location to location is generally quite logical.
This is not a very complicated game, nor are the HO sequences or mini-puzzles.
It is, though, rather charming, easy to play, and a pleasant way to spend a little time doing nothing important.
As always, I recommend that you play the demo and decide for yourself.
