You would think by the 6th installment of Fantasy Mosaics that the developers would have stopped being lazy and improve their product. While I enjoy the option of choosing which of the three colors to solve with, there are some simple changes the developer could make, but won't:
* Graphics are very simple, poorly hand-drawn and cartoon-like. Screens don't just move from one to the other -- you have to wait for the images to fade and disappear before the next screen pops up. It's like something from the late 80's.
* Images are distorted because widescreen ratio is not automatic, nor is it even offered. I'm just tired of seeing distortion in such a simple game.
* Translation to English is poor, and in many instances doesn't even make sense. Either hire someone to translate or use an online translator.
I would recommend this game if you've never played Fantasy Mosaics before. It's a logic-driven game that requires thinking, which I enjoy. However, if you own FM4 or FM5, I would suggest re-installing those and playing them again.

First, I own all seven of the Fantasy Mosaic games, but this will be my last. The greatest aspect of the last four games is being able to choose which of the three colors of mosaic tiles to use while solving each puzzle grid. This was a uniquely creative idea by the developers, so kudos to them. However, here's why I gave this FM7 such a low rating:
* Graphics are still distorted because widescreen viewing is not automatic, nor is it offered. I'm just tired of having to put up with that.
* Translation to English is poor and kind of creepy in places. This is the 7th game in the series -- hire someone to properly translate or use an online translator.
* The old school graphics are simple and cartoon-like. Moving from one scene to another is super slow, like slow-motion. You have to sit and wait while the current page slowly fades, disappears, and changes to the next screen. It's like watching a computer game from the 80's.
* There's really no story line, but the little dialogue there is has been poorly written, as I mentioned, and you can't skip through it.
Considering the simple mechanics of these Fantasy Mosaic games, the issues I mentioned could be easily made. However, the developer refuses to do so. And for that laziness, I rated this newest game low.
Do I recommend this 7th installment in the series? Only if you have never played any of the other games, would I recommend you try it. But, if you've played Fantasy Mosaics before, I would suggest re-installing the games you already own.

Perhaps the people who rated this game so generously did not realize these types of games are supposed to be logic driven. Pirate Riddles 2 is far from anything logical or enjoyable. In a nutshell, here is why this game is a waste of time and money:
** The goal of these types of games is to use logic and to strive to achieve 3 Stars by not using hints and not making any mistakes. However, this game was one big guessing mess. Only the first four levels were logical. After that, I had to use hints or just guess at where the blocks should be placed. Where is the skill in that?? Maybe others enjoy random, thoughtless clicking, but I do not.
** I'm not sure why a story line is even mentioned because really there was none.
** Graphics were dull & unappealing and the artwork was very poorly hand drawn. I felt like I was playing some high school kid's class project.
** There were minimal sound effects which was okay. But the "music" was this high pitched whistle sound that gave me a headache after the first couple of minutes.
All of the games of this type, by this developer, are the same -- poorly constructed and poorly thought out. If it were possible to give Pirate Riddles 2 zero stars I would have done so.

This has got to be one of the weirdest foreign-made games that BFG has offered to us in a long time. I truly do not understand the 4 and 5 star ratings people generously gave it.
There are so many things wrong with Beyond the Invisible that it's hard to know where to begin. First and foremost, the main character is supposed to be a little orphan boy. But this little boy doesn't think or talk like one. His vocabulary and thought process is extremely advanced for one so young. Which brings me to my next point . . .
If developers plan to sell their games to English speaking buyers then they need to hire professional translators. In this game's case, it appears they found a child to translate the story line. It's total drivel, and did I mention I can't believe people gave this game 4 and 5 stars??
And this brings us to the story line. To be brief, a never ending forest has a town built smack dab in the middle of it, and there are these shadows knocking off the townsfolk. This results in there being too many orphaned children. So, The Elder, who is a woman, and who looks like a Catholic nun, considers the children "vagrants" and locks them up in a workhouse. Maybe it's just me, but I found this whole premise wrong on so many levels.
Graphics are dark and grainy which I suppose fit the dreary, disjointed story. There are no voice overs, just a lot of reading. And it's a lot of reading with poor grammar, poor spelling and crazy usage of American slang. You also acquire an odd, scary looking helper along the way which adds more creepiness to this totally dysfunctional game.
As if you couldn't guess, I do not recommend Beyond the Invisible at all. But if you're thinking to yourself 'Oh come on, It can't be THAT bad', you might want to download it just to satisfy your curiosity, and to see the evil Elder Nun.
I don't recommend this game.

I'm sorry, but it's time for this developer to hire new talent and move on to a new game series. The first two or three of the Redemption Cemetery games were engaging and a delight to play. But the last couple of installments, including this one, have been downright boring.
Island of the Lost is not worthy to be called a Collector's Edition, and certainly not worth the extra cost. There are no morphing objects or collectibles. There is nothing new in the way of puzzles or hidden object scenes. We are subjected to bloody visuals and an old, worn out story line.
If you are a fan of the first few Redemption Cemetery games, you will be truly disappointed with this new offering. If you have never played any of the previous games, you might possibly like this one. But I recommend saving your money and waiting for the standard edition.
BFG does this game a big disservice by releasing it almost two months AFTER Christmas. What is the point of doing so?
Graphics are bright & cheerful but the music is on a repeating loop which gets old really fast. And it does seem to be the exact same music used in a previous 8 Floor solitaire game, as one reviewer mentioned.
This is a pleasant mosaic type game which I played in untimed mode. But I just couldn't get into it, especially with Spring being just around the corner.
Would recommend playing it in seven months, but not now.

Wow, Big Fish is really rummaging deep in their vaults to find it's Daily Deal offering for today. Keeping in mind that I purchased this game in March 2010, I re-installed it today and was pleasantly surprised as I starting playing it again.
Doors of the Mind is exactly as everyone stated -- it's hidden object driven with a low profile story. Graphics & game play are typical of 2010. Each location is easy on the eyes with realistic coloring and objects look exactly like they should. And yes, the game is short, but that is also typical of the genre at that time.
This game is what it is, and all things considered it was fun to reminisce and play it again.

I put up with this large file game that took a while to install, because of the glowing reviews that were first out there. However, this game was so NOT worth the wait.
Right from the start, I had a feeling the game would be silly because of the "warning" we were all given at the beginning. If a game developer does their job properly, we gamers will become frightened or freaked out on our own during game play. We don't need to be told that we're going to be oh-so-scared.
Next, the inabilility to skip dialogue or cut scenes was annoying, especially because everything moved slow. Animation and graphics were old school -- almost like that old cult favorite Myst from many many years ago, as another reviewer mentioned. Sound effects and "acting" were amateur.
You are given a task and then left to mindlessly click around in each room looking for a magnifying glass, which will enable you to either do something or take something. There really was no thought process involved. Rooms are hand drawn with a bit of color, which added to the monotony.
To use an item in inventory, I couldn't just click on it. I had to drag it to where I wanted to use it. And if I didn't place the items spot on, I had to drag the item several times in order for it to work.
It intrigues me that several people gave this game such high ratings. Maybe I'm too normal to appreciate it, but I found The Emptiness a big void.

I am so happy -- FINALLY a true time management game with NO sim building. Wish there were more of these!
Graphics are cute, cartoon-like. Each customer has their own personality, as do the characters involved in the story line.
Game play is not too difficult and you can replay levels to improve your score. Upgrades and assistants can be purchased as you accumulate bonus stars. You also have to plant, water and cut new flowers so you'll have enough for all your customers.
This game is for all ages. It's colorful and there's a lot going on. I highly recommend it!
