As always, I test the newest Fantasy Mosaics hoping to find that the developers have improved on this stagnating series. And as always, they have not made any improvements or changes whatsoever.
Animation is still painstakingly slow and the graphics still juvenile. This is a logical game geared for adults and the silly, inane graphics are just plain annoying. Translation is still bad and there is still no storyline. Mechanics of the game, including the powerups and scoring system, remain exactly the same, with no changes or improvements. I am so glad I discovered the Rainbow Mosaics series ~ it is my new favorite!
I don't recommend this game.

I am so glad to see another developer creating these nonogram or griddler games. Rainbow Mosaics is the best of any others out there, in my opinion.
Graphics are the best I've seen and the animations move along at a normal pace and not in slow motion.
There is an actual story line that makes sense.
There are no weird translations.
Game play is smooth with no glitches, my mouse never gets stuck.
I like that there are 3 or 4 colors involved with each puzzle.
I appreciate that you can use one or two powerups and NOT be penalized for it.
I love the way each block is counted for you as you fill in spaces; and how the rest of the rows and columns automatically complete themselves.
There is also an expert mode for those of us who want a bit more of a challenge. Treasure Trip is an absolute pleasure to play and I highly recommend it. No more Fantasy Mosaics for this girl!!

I'm thinking BFG needs to have one category for Hidden Object Puzzle and another for Hidden Object Adventure. There is of course a big difference between the two.
Anyway, this is another installment in the Love Story series and it is strictly hidden object scenes with puzzles. Diaglog boxes tell the story. There really is no adventure involved. And there are no voice overs or good graphics involved either.
As others have said, the story line is oh-so-predictable and the game itself is quite short. Yes, there are no demons or witches or bloody scenes, but this game goes to the other extreme of being ho-hum boring. I recommend it only if you don't mind reading and need something to induce sleep.
I don't recommend this game.

Here we go with another android game dreaming of being a real PC game.
Graphics on this one are cartoonish and poorly drawn, more suitable for a child. The music becomes annoying and tiresome really quick. The bright colors and promises of candy are tempting but just aren't for me.
Game play is easy and quickly becomes monotonous. I'm not recommending it for adults, although it might be a fun distraction for a child.
I don't recommend this game.

I'll let the usual reviewers tell you the entire plot so you almost don't have to play. But I will tell you why you should try Jack and the Sky Kingdom:
* Voice overs are well done and they actually match the characters. Music is amazing, and of course the graphics are done only as Blue Tea can do them -- a feast for the eyes
* This is a stand alone game. While there are several off-hand references to previous games, you don't need to play them first in order to play this one.
* Three modes of play. I chose casual for relaxed gameplay. While there was no transporter map, which I would have preferred, the hint feature re-charged fast enough and could point me in the right direction.
* Even if you're not a big fan of fairy tales, the story line is nowhere near childish and there is no cutesy little animal helper which is even better.
* Hidden object scenes were the kind I really prefer -- finding fragments pieces which magically combine together to create a finished item you need.
* Most of the puzzles were fun and I skipped only two of them. When playing on Casual mode, the skip button charges up quick.
* When playing on Hardcore mode, the missing transporter map might be frustrating. But other than that, I totally loved Jack and the Sky Kingdom and appreciated that I could finish it in just a few hours. So grab your favorite beverage, sit back and prepare to be entertained.
I recommend this game!

I hope this developer keeps putting out these great mosaic games. They seem to have the perfect formula, which is something Fantasy Mosaics totally lacks.
* While this is a fantasy based game, the graphics are not juvenile. They are done well and nice to look at. Animation moves along quickly which makes it enjoyable.
* There are no voice overs but the dialogue and playing instructions are in perfect English, so there are no weird or incorrect translations.
* There are three colors to the solving palette and you can choose which one to work with as you solve each puzzle. And they're nice colors, not those gaudy bright colors that give you headache after awhile.
* You can click through the instructions if you're a seasoned player. You're not forced to follow the tutorial.
* There's an amulet power-up, that once charged, will randomly solve four squares on the game grid. It was fun to watch the fireworks select and zap out four of the squares.
* As you play, you earn money to upgrade your castle and surrounding land. Even though the upgrades are automatic, it's still entertaining to see how your kingdom improves.
* Music is light and non-evasive, not loud and monotonous.
* Game play on the whole is smooth and doesn't lag. The Far Kingdoms was an absolute pleasure to play and I've just purchased it. Can't wait to see how my castle and kingdom will end up looking. If you like the mosaic or griddlers genre, I hope you'll give this game a shot.
I recommend this game!

I'm speechless but I can still type. You know this is going to be a bad game when the preview video doesn't show any actual playing boards or game play.
I think the video arcade games from the 80's had better graphics and music. Anyway, the object of the game is to re-unite two cutesy little ion characters by connecting them with the correct positive or negative charges. While the premise is scientific, the whole package is juvenile.
So, I just don't know what to make of Tangled up. Is it for children who know something about electrical currents or is it for adults who can put up with a silly story & silly handrawn characters in order to solve cartoon puzzles? I just don't know.
I don't recommend this game.

When I play these types of games, my goal is always to strive for excellence and get the highest possible score. Unfortunately, I found myself lowering the bar with this game, and for me, that's not acceptable.
Even though the graphics are cartoon-like and hand drawn, and the music quickly became monotonous, I liked the idea of a Match 3 game with hidden object scenes thrown in. It sounded like it would be a lot of fun. But, for me, it turned out to be total frustration.
Even at the very first level, I could not attain expert because the timer runs down way too quickly. I played the level over FIVE times and just couldn't get anywhere near the top score. A game being this difficult on tthe very first level was disheartening.
The hidden object scenes involved finding ingredients scattered around the kitchen. The timer ran out quickly as well, but the bigger problem was that items were poorly drawn and I just couldn't find what I was looking for.
I can only assume that the higher ratings for this game were given by people who don't care about their score or about beating the game. If you're that type of gamer then you might be able to stand playing Rory's Restaurant.
But considering all that's wrong with this game, I don't recommend it.
I don't recommend this game.

I remember playing the first game in the Vampire Legends series and it's obvious the developers incorporated scenes from that game into this one.
I won't give you any spoilers by telling you the entire story line or listing every puzzle in the game like certain other reviewers do.
I gave this a rating of three stars across the board because there's nothing new or magnificent about The Count of New Orleans. Graphics are done well as is the sound. Hidden object scenes are run-of-the-mill as are the puzzles. You collect masquerade masks and you get a bonus chapter.
This game most certainly does not justify a collector's edition price tag, but developers will never get the message until people stop paying for them.
The Count of New Orleans offers a familiar story line and it's a fairly good game. I DO recommend you try it for an hour but as for me I'll wait for the standard edition release.
I recommend this game!

This game is a hoot!! The story line is tongue-in-cheek and meant to be humorous and not taken seriously.
Yes, there's a lot of hand holding.
Yes, it's the old school hidden object type scenes
Yes, there are no morphing objects, collectibles or animal helpers.
Yes, it's a laid back game, perfect for sipping tea & munching on cheesy poofs.
And yes, it's an old game. Requiring one to install the additional DirectX app is always a dead giveaway of an older game. But you can just hit cancel and the game will install anyway.
The fact that the main characters are named after those in the Rocky Horror Picture Show made me laugh as well. This is a great old style hidden object game with no bells, no whistles. It's something different and I recommend you give it a try.
I recommend this game!
