Victorian Picnic. The name conjures up all sorts of nostalgic images, with lush scenery and beautiful graphics. :: sigh :: Okay, now back to reality.
I normally enjoy a challenging game of Solitaire, but Victorian Picnic totally misses the mark on all points. First, not everyone likes matching pairs of cards. Why not offer an option to play "one card higher, one card lower" which is what most people prefer to play?
Next, since it is just a Solitaire game, why not offer beautiful, stunning graphics? Instead, we get cartoon-like, poorly drawn backgrounds and visuals to look at as we play level after level.
There's no storyline or an occasional mini game distraction. Powerups are the usual with nothing new or innovative. I turned off the music which is something I rarely do.
I already own several Solitaire games, so I'll simply pass on Victorian Picnic -- there's just nothing about it that screams 'Buy Me'
Cathy is chasing the dreams of others instead of her own. But once she discovers her passion, her strength will be put to the test. Will Cathy stay true to herself?

First, this is really not a CE version. Go ahead and check out the game elsewhere and you'll see this is the one and only original version of Cathy's Crafts. I'm surprised at the CE price tag here on this site.
With that said, I like that we're being offered an original format time management game ~ no building villages or buying resources are involved here.
Graphics are cute but not well drawn. You have to find the mouse just like in the Delicious games and sound effects are pretty much the same. There's nothing new or innovative.
The story line is more for children, but they may lose interest because of all the dialogue that cannot be skipped. If you're an adult who doesn't care about the story and just want to play the levels, all the reading will slow the game for you.
There are three ways to play. I started out as a Beginner, just for fun, but I found the levels still got difficult rather quickly.
All in all, I did find Cathy's Crafts to be a cute time-waster kind of game, so I do recommend you try it. Most people will give it rave reviews I'm sure. Perhaps if it didn't come with a false CE price tag I might have rated it higher.

I'm not a big fan of having little talking animal helpers in my games. So, when I saw I would have a ghost helper, I thought I'd give Florry's Well a shot. Bad move on my part.
First let me say that the graphics were fair as I really don't care for hand drawn art when it comes to HOPA games. However, the sound effects and music were fine as were the voiceovers. The storyline started out okay but then I had two issues.
To start with, the ghost helper was useless. I had to bribe him to help me so I had to waste my time finding booze for him. Problem was -- he really didn't help me with anything I couldn't do myself. And honestly, I dislike dealing with drunks in the real world, so I found this feature in the game annoying.
My biggest gripe about Florry's Well was that an item totally disappeared from my inventory and I couldn't finish the game. This happened after a few hours of gameplay so I let BFG know the issue immediately. They must be aware of the issue because they gave me my money back immediately.
I see there are only a few reviews for this game, so it's very possible others had the same problem I did.

To all you one-star rating people, shame on you. Right from the beginning you were all warned this was a psycho thriller which always means there WILL be blood and such. So your low rating is not fair.
With that said, Maze Subject 360 has to be one of the best games I have ever played. In fact, I played it in one sitting because I just couldn't tear myself away from it.
Everything was top notch -- the eerie music, sound effects, realistic graphics and a storyline that hooked me immediately.
I really hope we see a sequel of some sort, and a special shout out to this developer who gave us a game geared for thinking adults. I'm just so tired of fairy monster hunters chasing aliens with their sidekick talking cats. Maze Subject 360 was a refreshing change!

Fantasy Mosaics 16 is yet another installment of the same poor animation, horrid music and lack of storyline.
There are no new powerups or improvements. It's the same terrible flat 2D cartoon graphics and simplistic game mechanics.
Grid solving is painfully easy now with not much thought process involved. And yet people keeping paying the developers so they can make more of this nonsense for us.

After reading all the rave reviews of the CE version, I decided to try this less costly version. Honestly, I just don't get how this game ranks so highly.
I enjoy a good fantasy game but am honestly getting tired of them now. Here we have a young lady joining an esteemed group of monster hunters. Last week it was a young lady looking for ghosts with her drunken ghost helper. Next week it will be a fairy princess fighting ninjas with her talking frog.
Grim Legends 3 is more ridiculous fantasy than anything. The story line is just too ludicrous for me. Graphics were dark and washed out, almost like watercolors running into each other. Puzzles were easy and game play included a lot of hand holding.
I long for the days of true adventure hidden object games where you were required to think a bit and where the story lines involved real, or at least believable, people. Where graphics looked like you were playing within a movie, not a comic book. Games like Dire Grove, Syberia & Dracula's Origin come to mind; and I think I'll just go back and re-play those.
I know I'm in the minority, but I hope that game developers start noticing that NOT ALL gamers are kids.
I was hoping this CE edition of Reflections of Life game would have something fresh and new to offer in the way of collectibles, since I have currently been refusing to spend my hard earned money on any CEs that are released.
Unfortunately, I couldn't even finish the trial period. Other reviewers will give you step-by-step details and spoilers from the game. So this will be my short overview of it:
* Graphics are blurry, colors seem to run together. * Story line is silly and I lost interest. * Nothing new in the way of collectibles or achievements * Tired of having little "helpers" forced on me because I am a total loser who can't think or do anything for myself * I don't want to collect, or even bother looking for, furry things that look like the Tribbles from Star Trek * There's nothing in this game that makes me want to hand over fourteen dollars for it.
Back in the day when Big Fish started their Mystery Case Files series, we were offered brilliant puzzles, realistic story lines, and innovative game play all WITHOUT having to label them as "collector" games. Today, these new CE versions are poorly constructed with ridiculous fantasy story lines. And we're handing over twice as much money for them? I refuse to do it.

This game from 2011 is being offered as a Daily Deal today in Aug 2016. I thought maybe the other reviewers were being unkind with their low star ratings, but after playing Secret Legacy for 30 minutes, I have to agree with their opinions.
* There really is no story line, it's more of a theme. * Graphics are flat, 2D and border on comic book style. * Hidden object scenes are dark and colors run together. * You play the same HO scene twice each time you enter. * Some items are too small or poorly drawn. * Clicking on an item is a nightmare. Sometimes I had to click several times before it could be removed. * HO items were sometimes mis-named. * When I finally used a hint, it indicated where the item was, but I had to click on it several times before it would go away.
In summing up, there was just too much wrong with this game for me to continue playing after 30 minutes. The game also shouldn't be listed as an adventure game -- it really is comprised of mostly hidden object scenes.
Bottom line: Let the secret legacy remain a secret.

I wanted to give this 2.5 stars and really didn't want to give it three. If you haven't played WM 3, 4 or 5 you should give those a try. After WM5, this series has turned stagnant.
Graphics and music are about the same and are fine for this type of game genre. And there is a rather cute story line this time around. You can play with a color palette or without one. Others have given game play details so I won't re-hash them here.
My biggest issue with the game is that it doesn't automatically fill in the row or column once you've figured out the numerical pattern. You have to right-click and put a push pin on each individual square you did not use. To me, this is a major downer and time waster.
I already own World Mosaics 1 thru 5 and will keep playing those. I refuse to pay for the newer WM games that still don't offer any new features or improvements on the old ones.
If it weren't for one major mechanical issue with the game, I would have rated this 4 stars.
I loved the unusual story line and that you could choose how to answer people, even though I don't think it really mattered which way you answered.
The music was amazing and the voice talent was excellent. Graphics were rather simplistic though, not well drawn, and that makes it a 4 star game at this point.
I had no issues with the cursor or solving puzzles. I always disable the game's custom cursor and use my system cursor so that may be the reason why I had no problems playing.
It's a simple thing, really, that drops this game down to 3 stars and it's because of the inventory bar. I find the constant bobbing up and down of the inventory section extremely annoying. Either make the inventory bar stationary or put a lock on it so it stays still.
If not for the cheesey graphics and bobbing inventory bar, this would have been a 5 star game in my opinion. Unfortunately, I could play it only half-way through before I started to get a headache, This is a shame because I enjoyed the story and am disappointed I won't be able to find out what eventually happened.
