Only if you are a master in match 3 play and love arcade would I recommend this game. It is super difficult. Not only do you have to beat the usual stuff in M3 games like breaking chains, background tiles, and bringing down items off the board you must kill monsters within the tokens by matching their color token. If you don't they continue to drain your health. This makes you have to be super quick because they are generated every few seconds. Time is of the essence and there is no relaxed play only a more difficult mode called Nightmare.
You do get lots of power ups but they are generated so slowly you cannot keep up with the drain on you health. Also the bosses you must beat after every so many levels are invincible. Your health meter runs out super quick while the bosses health barely takes a dent. It took me about 5 hours to beat a boss and this was only the 8th level!!! Challenge??No I call it frustrating and not fun at all. But if you like this type of difficulty then this is a game for you.
Be warned. Pick your power ups wisely because they are randomly generated on one meter and thrown anywhere on the board. Then you have to maneuver to make a match from them. You do not get to place them. They are generated by making matches quickly and when meter is full it gives you any one of the items you purchased in the store. If you pause matching the meter sinks back down. I hated this feature. After trial and error I made another profile and started over only choosing the heart for health and one that would zap the monsters. The others I felt weren't helping enough to win the level.

There is also a potion cauldron which was necessary to win. It would give you Health by matching red tokens, a shield from two hits by monsters for matching green tokens a freeze from damage for blue and another color you could only buy after reaching a certain level I have not achieved yet nor may ever. These power ups also generated slowly and you had to remember to click on them to activate once they were full. All that while you are desperately trying to concentrate on the board matching. Ugh this game just proved too much for me.
You get coins from winning the levels and can upgrade the store items but only after reaching certain levels, Why?? just to make it more difficult. This is a game only a masochist would love.
I don't recommend this game.

If you like bubble shooting, it's that type of game. Aim and shoot the people as they pass by with what particular item they want to make them happy : money, luck, happiness, love or health. You then collect the happy mask (happiness) they give you. You must fill up the meter with happiness before the sun goes down or you lose level.

It gets a little tricky as you go up in levels sometimes you must hit them more than once or decide which is best item to shoot them with when they stand in a crowd. You can ricochet off each other and get several happiness with one shot.
You have a trader and can buy gems to generate items faster as you use them. Also you play a few mini games to get more energy to buy items.
All in all it is an ok arcade shooting game if you enjoy that genre. A little interesting story too.
I recommend this game!

I love these type of match games. Collecting specific quantities of items to win level. This is a very different type of M3 in that it requires both dollar bills and coins to purchase items for the wedding and you will earn them differently.
Directions explaining the board set up are not abundant but this review should give you the layout of the 3 varieties.

Playing for dollar bills:
You have customers with hearts that will decrease depending on how long it takes you to fill order. Game doesn't seem to end if hearts run out but you will earn less cash. Bride and groom's order is hidden until you complete all customer orders. You can buy boosters with money earned to either freeze timer or get twice the quantity of items you matched to fill order. The more you play the more you earn, so plenty money to buy items for the wedding and purchase boosters. If you are slow in speed it will just take you longer to earn cash, so good for those who don't like timers yet has incentive to match quickly to earn more.
Playing for coins:
You must bring down from board a certain quantity of items to drop off board. You get a specific number of moves to do so. I found this difficult at first until you get the hang of it. It takes strategy and use of bonus items that are placed randomly on board every time you make matches of more than 3. If you do not bring down the required number of items when your moves run out you can either start round again or buy the coins for 10,000 cash bills that you must earn in the other game fulfilling orders. Therefore if you don't like this type of match 3 you are not forced to play it to unlock the levels.
Bonus games:
The third type of match three is getting your bonus present. In this game you simply match over background gold tiles. You have to complete 4 boards to get all the pieces to your present. Not timed and given unlimited moves.
At any time you can go back to the map and play for either money or coins or continue playing for your present. So it gives you 3 varieties of M3 which keeps this game very interesting. Also the icons change from venue to venue; food shop, flower shop, music shop, wood shop, water works and outdoor décor. The dollar money you earn in each shop transfers from shop to shop but the coins you must either earn in each specific shop or buy with the game dollars. And you can continue playing in each shop earning more dollars to transfer even after you purchased all the items in it.

The story line is very fitting to gameplay. You must keep playing to purchase all the items for your friends wedding which will be added to an outdoor landscape. It's not the most gorgeous graphics but combining all the variety of strategy, tycoon, builder, relaxing and action mode into one gameplay makes this a winner.
I recommend this game!

Everything about this HO/adventure game was great. Graphics were smooth, colorful and flawless. The storyline was so funny and engaging. The level of challenge was awesome. They started out with a hard puzzle but gave you in words, hint by hint, if you could not figure it out and only when you asked for help, not automatically. So no getting stuck yet keeping the challenge level according to how many hints you needed to solve it.
I don't have not one complaint except that my adventure is now over because I finally completed the game. It was just the right length if you take your time and try to solve it for yourself and not use the hints unless you're stuck. I hope to see Robert again in another adventure. This is one of the most enjoyable games of all time. Don't miss it, it's a must have.
I recommend this game!

I love this game and would give it 5 stars but I hate paying for a game I cannot finish. It starts out at a fairly decent challenge but gets super challenging half way through levels and if you are not super quick you cannot pass to next stamp book. I'm stuck on last level of flower stamp book. There are 4 more books I may never get to play.
It has all the makings for a great game: beautiful stamps you collect as you pass each type of level, awards to be won and enough variety in changing symbols with each book of stamps. There is also a variety of game play; a score challenge, don't let level reach top, a sort of pile and pop M3, putting together puzzles and a classic game of just matching symbols. All of them are timed. They give you enough of power ups to make the game fairly beatable with maybe a few redo's if you are the kind of person that likes time challenge. But with all things timed you can get to a place where no matter how hard you try you just can't beat it. Uggh that is frustrating and hair pulling and just not fun. I'm hoping after my thousandth try I can open the animal book of stamps and get off these dang flowers.
Only one thing saves this game that makes it worth the buy, and that it has a free play of all the type of games and all the stamps. This way you can just play your favorite that you are good at. It is still timed but you can pick your level and get to play all the stamps.
I still wish I could finish collecting my stamp books and don't know why developers put a stop game instead of skipping a level and not giving a trophy or something...it makes you feel cheated out of your money.

There are a few things lacking in this game to be an A rated match 3:

There is no custom cursor, you must use Window's arrow which gives it a cheap feel.
After playing a level you are rated in stars, but there is no level display so you cannot play over to get better rating. Only in the actual level before it is completed can you bring up the menu to replay. Problem with this is there is no indication of what time rates you 3 stars versus one or two.
Help menu only gives you 3 basic instructions. So when the spiders appear I was at a loss on how you can destroy them or their webs. They don't even repeat the in game tutorial, even though this game doesn't look like it will have many enrichments to add to the fun factor or game play. But even for a simple game, things were not clear like scoring. There is an untimed mode if you don't care about score.
On the game board it showed useless things you could wait for until level finishes like the tabulation of materials collected and when you were eligible for upgrade of Ark. I'd rather a bigger game display.
And it's only 70 something levels which is short compared to other games that average around 200 levels.
It's definitely not one of the best match 3 games out there but it will be worth a discount purchase. This is only because of the unique story line which is a plus for anyone Spiritually minded. I did enjoy the bible story theme and actually liked every time the Spirit of the Lord token dropped. It kind of felt like a blessing of the mind just having those words popping out at you. If the storyline does not appeal to you I think there are better games to purchase.
I recommend this game!

I was just expecting a run of the mill M3 game, the usual trying to get matches in tight corners or heart pumping action trying to beat a clock, NOPE. This game is for those who love strategy but it has the nice benefit of match 3 games with falling cascades of tiles and the simplicity of matching.
First of all, the beautiful bright colors and large game tiles make it a delight for the eyes. The number of moves to accomplish goals are sufficient using them in combo with the power tools so thus far I'm not tearing my hair out. I've got a lot of levels to go but good thing there is easy replay at your fingertips if you want the 3 star rating. I love star grading.
The game is very unique in it's gameplay. You are shown an item in a hand and you get to place it anywhere on the board as long as it makes a three combo. The item you switch with becomes your new item to place. Wow, I love that strategy.
The mini-game is for all who like the clock, those who don't have option to skip if fail, so you do not get stuck trying to get to the next level, thank goodness. Every 6 levels you get to plant the items you've collected in the game, how cute is that. It's a lot of fun trying to duplicate the garden image. Using a diagram you must lay the stones, dig, plant and water your garden in the exact image. Be sure you get the colors right.
This is a very long game having plenty of levels, good buy for your bucks. But the levels are not super long to clear which is great. I hate those games where you have to collect a thousand pieces of wood, wheat, and stones which can get very monotonous. The pace here keeps you moving. Also there are lots of items to keep your interest. They give you different obstacles to overcome and quotas of items to collect. There are many approaches using your tools you can use to complete your goals and get better scores.
I recommend this game!

This M3 was a different type of challenge that was refreshing.
Similar to a game called finding doggy where you have to move your character along by matching to progress in the game.
Had good power ups to help with matches and had optional timer. Timer mode was not too difficult so it made it enjoyable giving you purpose to keep the rabbit moving to the finish line. I really enjoyed having to give him particular things that he needed by making matches of that item so he would move. You had to watch the screen as he walked along stopping for a carrot, cabbage or needing to jump and match that certain token.
The not so good was a bit outdated on the mechanics of moving tokens. No swipe, you must click the two interchangeable tokens.
Some M3 play like an arcade game where you have to be very fast and can be a little nerve racking. This type involves more strategy trying to have the particular matches available on the board when you need them. So it is relaxing to play while keeping your interest in your goal.
I recommend this game!

This game is very challenging with the time mode so I'm glad it has an untimed option. At first I was confused about the untimed button that seemed always ON. So when I pushed play I was surprised it had a timer and I wondered what the heck. I found out later in order to get untimed DO NOT PRESS PLAY, that IS the timed mode. Click only the untimed button and it will start new game without the clock. You cannot switch back and forth because the games are separate. So the PLAY button really is the Timed Button.
In untimed mode you strive for up to 3 stars on the level. It goes by score how many stars you will get. You will have time to plan out strategy to get successive combos with same match or quick play to get multiple score. So it does give you some challenge but still not a rush, rush. I think you can meet the score of at least one star no matter how long you take. You should try to get the object tiles first to score bigger. Object tiles are similar to gold tiles in mahjong and will end layout in final puzzle plus will give you extra points for tiles. I liked the strategy of trying to uncover these special tiles to give bonus points instead of mindless matching, like some other mahjong games that offer no objective but to complete layout. It gives you a challenge to try to get 3 stars so you can unlock the extra objects that will go into completion of your portrait.
Timed mode was fun also but difficult. You will compete for stars in score and also try to beat the clock. You will not move on unless you are quick. I wish they had an easy and normal timed mode because I'm stuck in the Egyptian layout. If they only had an option to turn on or off the clock for some levels you find difficult to pass it would of been great. They do have clock power ups that will give you extra time if you can uncover them before time on it runs out or else it Is zero, what a bummer. I think it counts down too fast. I still enjoy trying to beat it. Guess I'll be playing it over and over.
I'm recommending this game to those who like a challenge because both timed and untimed will give you this. It has a lot of variables to keep your interest. The 3d movable board, the time and bonus power ups in play, special object tiles, the unlock the levels and compete for stars, the incentive to finish your picture portrait and also to get extra objects added to it.
I recommend this game!

I really loved City of Fools and hoped this was going to be a great sequel. I tried the demo and was disappointed about the map feature. We cannot travel around freely and bump into people in the town and discover clues like the COF. You must use the map to travel. This probably cut in half the time and challenge of the original game. Before it took skill navigating the map and testing your memory. Also you found clues in all different areas of the outside so you had to tread carefully to uncover them. This game takes you directly to your destination so you don't have to memorize directions anymore, which makes this game really simple. You really messed up developers on that change.
As far as length, in the game definition it says that you have over 70 detailed scenes. Well, that doesn't say much about how many puzzles we need to solve. For one puzzle we may go through 4 scenes.
For example, one quest of delivering groceries to a customer you wind up at :
the front of her house, the destination(1#
then in her lobby only to ring bell#2#
then living room for part of HO #3#
and kitchen, other half of HO items#4)
Four scenes all counting for only one hidden object puzzle. So I don't know how many tasks this game will supply. I got through 13 tasks in the demo, only because I was being distracted during the hour I played. I could of finished more because they were fairly simple.
I still would like to buy this game regardless of the simplicity, if it were long enough; but I'm afraid because of lack of challenge in discovering this city and places on my own, the game will end very quickly. I'm going to believe the reviews which state that the game is tooooooo SHORT. I will not recommend only because I think it will be a rip off in game length as others stated who bought the game.
I don't recommend this game.
