This game is OK, nothing special. I own other games by this developer. But this one is just too illogical in it's game play. At one point you are presented with a cobweb covered lantern. The solution is to cut the web with a sharp letter that you previously pried off of a carriage. Around the same time, in an interactive HOS, you take a bunch of branches to sweep away a cobweb. The latter is logical, the former most certainly is not.
So I'm probably the only one bothered by such things, but you will have to really suspend logical thought to play the game.
I also had a problem with the fact that you would pick up an object and seconds later are confronted with a place to put it. Is that just making the game easy, or were the devs lazy?
Uninstalled after about 30 minutes.
I don't recommend this game.

The graphics were the first problem. Look at the screen shots. The colors are distorted and unnatural and that got more bothersome the longer I played. The HO scenes were extremely easy and the mini games were even easier. Some weird actions too. You need to get through some vines near the beginning and you just got and sharpened a sword. But that doesn't work. You need to put a Mayan medallion into the vines. Huh?
So nothing new here, not on a par with other recent games. Got bored and deleted after 30 minutes.
I don't recommend this game.

This was just a beautiful game. Some of the other recent games had graphics I just didn't like, fake colors, weird lighting, just not easy on the eyes. This was the opposite. Great graphics made me watch all the way through the cut scenes. Great characters, lip movement and good voice overs. HO scenes were a bit easy and you have the option for a Match 3 game. But on easy level, the Match 3 flashed the tiles you were supposed to move and didn't like that.
But the games is way too short. I finished the demo with 10 minutes to go. A look at the walkthrough showed me you would be 35% through the game in an hour and I don't like to buy games that don't even last 3 hours. So I'll probably wait until it's a DD.
That's a shame for a game as good as this. The last game by this dev was quite a bit longer.
I don't recommend this game.

This game is everything I want. Great story line and good graphics. HOS were easy, but liked the interactive ones a lot. A lot of steam punk elements. The only problem I had was the length. I finished the demo in 30 minutes. So according to the walkthrough, I would be 35% finished in an hour, so less than a 3 hour game. Might buy anyway due to the other qualities.

I confess to a bias. I've never been disappointed by a game from this developer. The Awakening series is my favorite. I love the mini games here that are always different. At first they might seem difficult but all the clues you need are on your screen. This one is also a good length. I finished the demo with 3 minutes to spare and the walkthrough shows the end of the demo is 19% of the way through the game. So a five hour game as well.
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I like the maps to show where there are areas for you to do something. This map just allowed you to jump between areas.
A sure buy for me and a great addition to the Awakening series.
I recommend this game!

Not a bad game. The puzzles are a bit different and more challenging than usual. Story line fairly non-existent. The problem is that there was no wow factor after the opening cut scene. The HO scenes harkened back to the old days. Graphics in game were OK, not great. Maybe we're spoiled by some of the great games being offered today. But I got bored after about 30 minutes of the trial and deleted. If you need one more punch this month, you might want it. But I'll wait for this to be a DD.
I don't recommend this game.

I agree with the other reviewers here except the problems bothered me more because I couldn't even give it three stars. The graphics were amateurish. No shading, no perspective and no sharpness in detail. Almost as if the artists were lazy. I didn't like the cursor either since it always looked like you should be taking something. Then the cookies. Cookies running around and a cookie hint button. But certainly not a kids game either. HOs were better drawn and puzzles were easy. I lasted about 20 minutes and deleted.
I don't recommend this game.

Nothing specific but the game didn't lure me in. The graphics are great. The HOS scenes were good as well and I like the option to play match 3 games. Map was useful so didn't need to use the hint. It was the story that left me wanting, same as the first installment of this game. So, might buy on a daily deal. Also seems a bit short. At the end of the hour, I was 1/3rd through.

The opening scene is the best feature of the game. First problem I had was way too much talking. Couldn't quick click through dialog, just skip the whole scene. Then, there isn't much to do. In the time I played the demo, I came across one simple HOS, two really easy games and the rest of the time was spent talking. The other problem I had was the scenery and artwork. Too much weirdness and bright, primary color there. I see some people really liked the artwork. It's subjective. Look at the demo screens. If you like what you see and want an easy game to play, this might be the one you want. But the artwork and unchallenging play made this a no buy for me even when offered as an SE.
I don't recommend this game.

Nice game. But I finished the demo in 28 minutes. Based on that, This is not even a two hour game for me.
I don't buy games this short regardless of how good they are.
