This is based on the demo, but I really loved this game. I could go into all the pluses, but I think that has been fairly well covered by the other comments.
I would have bought this game during the sale but had already purchased several so it will have to wait until next month.
Since my comments are short, what I will say is try the game and I think you will agree it is well worth it!
This is based on demo which I only played for about 20 minutes. The graphics were good, but not great. I thought the HOs were easy even with some items being somewhat "murky". You did have both traditional and picture HOs which was a plus. The puzzles were good, but again not great. You basically went from one scene to the next performed one or two actions and moved on.
I really felt they could have done a lot more with the storyline and the general actions.
This review is based on the demo only. This is the first game in a long time that I have run out of time before finishing the demo, and I count that as a big plus. I really liked this game.
The graphics were great, sound and voice overs very well done, and storyline good as well although not a biggie for me.
I thought the HOs were good with interactive play as well. I only completed 2 puzzles that were good, but not that difficult. There are 35 morph items throughtout which I think are a fun addition.
I prefer not using the strategy guide or notebook unless absolutely necessary so I can't comment on those.
Although some game storylines have creeped out, for me the main interest is gameplay. Will I get a good mental workout, a little fun and satisfaction of a game well played, and I feel this one will do that; therefore, I recommend this game.
Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.
This is the first Ravenhurst I have played and I have very mixed feelings. I enjoyed the morphing items, but some were hard to see and had to use the hint button (which always irritates me). I enjoy looking for morph items as many other games have them (one a scene), but I also thought doing a whole scene of them would get very tiring after awhile (because I did in the demo).
The graphics and sound are great. The storyline seemed ok, but wasn't paying that close of attention.
I did enjoy the game once I got going so I went to the walkthrough just to see how many morphing scenes there were and where the game was headed. I found the walkthrough showed the game to be somewhat "creepy" so now I don't know. I may still buy the game but need to give it some more thought.
I did go to the CE site to read some of the comments there and found them to be somewhat helpful as most were Ravenhurst fans.
So I am going to recommend the game with the note to check out the walkthrough and other comments on both CE & SE sites.
I enjoyed this game and actually found out a lot about different art and artists. The game is simple and does take a bit of time travelling around buying and selling art. It is a great game for when you just want to take a break; however, I found I did want to do just one more city to see how I faired.
Overall I had a lot of fun and have play several times.
I recommend this game as a time-to-take a break from the other intense HO games.
This game nearly put me to sleep, literally. I found the graphics poor, the storyline ridiculous, and the voice overs dreadful. After 2 cutscenes I skipped them all. After 30 minutes I gave up and went to bed instead.
I love this game. The graphics are beautiful, the sound and storyline are good. It is not overly difficult, but great pure fun. Every time I play I enjoy it. If you want to relax and just have fun this is the game.
Check out the sequel, too. The CE has a fun bonus that really ties the 2 together. Can't wait for the next installment.
This is the 2nd game in the series, and I found it both fun and challenging. The HOs were good. The mini games were challenging without being overwhelming. The graphics, storyline and sound were all good.
In the series, the first one gets your interest, the 2nd adds to that and the 3rd has just enough change to continue your interest.
This is the 1st in the series, and I did enjoy it as well as the other 2. The HOs were just right, and the mini games were challenging without being frustrating. The graphics, storyline and sound were above average. Of the 3 this is probably my least favorite, but I still enjoyed playing.
