Decent length, creepy as the dickens. The only thing lousy about the game is the HOS. Rather grainy and hard to see, but that could be good in a way because a few of them were so ..well..CREEPY..that you really didn't want to look around in them much. LOL. The hint button refilled quickly. The puzzles were mostly difficult for me, but they skipped well. There are a lot of things to find to continue the story, which was really good, but spooky. I enjoyed this game but it surely is not for kids nor for someone faint of heart, Lots of murders and skeletons and basically scary stuff. For me it was just a lot of fun and I could not stop playing until done. It also had a satisfying and scary ending. :)
..the HO's were many times tiny, and there were more than a few HOS. It was frustrating at first, but I liberally used the hint button and so, if you do not mind this, and being forewarned, the game otherwise was a good experience. The hint button would many times refer you to the map, but that was pretty clear in showing rooms you needed to go into where you could do stuff, so it was fine. Several of the puzzles were tough for me, and the skip button adds 30 minutes to your game time, so I think an expert would totally enjoy this game, while I, not giving a flip about recorded time, just skipped away and had fun with the story. NOTE: The map did show quite a few bonus areas not available in the SE, so you may want to get the CE, up to you. In the HOS if you click too many wrong things in a row (like I did when everything looked like beets to me and none of them were) you get your screen splashed with an awesome burgundy color, which goes away fast and is not too scary.. Normally, I would not recommend a game with these sort of HOS, but this one was really worth playing, in spite of it..
First I will say that it is good for kids but great for old people! You can use most inventory items soon enough to not forget where they GO! I LOVED that. The game is fairly easy because of this and the puzzles are not so hard you do not have a CLUE! It is divided into different stories and each one is very interesting, and the graphics are great. The HOS are VERY different, and many are totally interactive, where you find an item then use it to find another. Not so hard, just very entertaining. The game was not too short, but I liked it so much I wish I had bought the CE just for having extra game time. This is really a gem, and never frustrating..
CE recommended as there is a long bonus game, and the SG is very helpful as it stays open on the last page you were on. I used it a few times just to remember where something was..lol. It has very crisp graphics, few HOs so they are welcome and fun, and useful, too. The game was not too short at all,,seemed just right to me and so enjoyable that I was glad to be able to play more with the bonus chapter. Very creepy story. Some puzzles are quite unique and vary in difficulty. I do not think many would be disappointed with this one.
..that it was really aggravating. Other than that it had great graphics and was fun but the truly intolerable (for me) backtracking ruined it. Also it had a rotten ending, It really didn't matter, however, because by then I was longing for it to be over..but it was interesting, long, good hint button, colorful and had cool looking scenes, and cutscenes.. I am going to say I recommend it for the fun, but ...

Journey: The Heart of Gaia
After being kidnapped, Liz must free the Underworld from the tyranny of Scartaris Umbra.
I thought it was going to end 2 times before it actually did. Lots of fun--no HOGS, and much of it fairly easy. Is good for kids and adults--is cartoonish, with funky characters to help you. These sometimes get mixed up in the dialogue--but then, it is not time for them to help you, anyway..lol--is why I did not give it a 5, though. The hint button is very helpful, the locations say they are complete (when they are, so you do not have to waste time). There is not too much backtracking because game is sort of divided into sections, and you leave that area when you are finished. Great story and satisfying ending. Well worth the fun of playing, and is a very bright game.
..but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Got stuck once and skipped some puzzles, but all in all a wonderfully told story, satisfying ending, quite long and very interesting. Kind of a fairy tale, but also supernatural and very intriguing altogether. One downside is that on my computer there was sometimes a long pause changing scenes, but it did not take away from the game, for me. Well worth getting this one.
It was long, and quite an adventure. The hint owl was exceptionally intelligent in giving relevant clues, and (puzzles not really being my thing) the skip button filled quickly. A few of those had lousy instruction, but it did not take away from a very interesting game experience. The HOS were not too plentiful, and they were very interactive and fun. The ending was satisfying and hints at a sequel. You can't miss with this one.
..I could not stop. I just LOVE these Aveyond games. This is the third in a series, and you can carry parts of your previous character through them all, so I do not suggest that you start with this one, but with Lords of Twilight. These are terrific RPG games..a super change from hidden object adventures. These are wonderful! The characters and stories, the hidden things and side quests..it is just tons of fun and I could not stop playing. There are walkthroughs around the internet that really add to the game, because there are so many tiny side quests that are excellent and you may miss them, otherwise. The game is huge, takes days, not hours to play and all of that time is truly enjoyment. I grabbed the next one in the series as soon as I finished this one. Just don't want it to end!!
I recommend this game!

Hoyle Enchanted Puzzles
Guide a young apprentice through a maze of match 3 puzzles, solitaire, mahjong, and more. Explore the magical realm of Skye!
I do not know why more reviews are not here. The demo flew by so fast I had to buy it right away. Tons of levels and TONS of fun. I have only played on 2 levels--one where you have to try to get huge blocks of like colors (sort of like bejeweled, but you have to plan ahead for big blocks or u do not progress) to trying to catch different types of fish in a water environment full of rocks, and treasure and poisonous fish! And this was just two of the types of puzzles! It seems that you have to master 5 levels, each a bit harder, before being allowed to go to a different puzzle, OR you can buy the harder levels of the one you are on with the "upgrade" option, paid for by the gems you got or fish you caught, and who knows what awaits me! This is quite simply TONS of fun, addicting as cigarettes, and I am rating it a 5. The things I did not like were mostly all mechanical-- you could not get back to the main menu really easy while in a level and you would lose all progress in it if you did quit. It was also a bit hard to tell in the beginning how u would buy more levels and go on in one, but if you looked, you found out how. Other than this slightly difficult use in the beginning, I still have to rate this a 5. The controls were fast, the cartoon graphics were great, the darn game is so much fun, and I have barely cracked the surface of it! I will bet if you download it you will buy it! I am a fan of hidden object games and rarely purchase an arcade style one, but I can see that this will offer hours of entertainment for ALL ages.
