I am so far on the third or 4th chapter. It is a long game and lots of fun. Great graphics, many locations, lots of different things to do. What fun! For those below who do not like bugs..well that is only in one chapter and same with the birds. This has quite a few rather self-contained areas. It is very interesting, not too difficult, and this is the first one I am playing on the level up from easy. It is still pretty easy because the skip "button" (which is Fiona herself) is super helpful so you do not need a strategy guide. In fact, this is so good, I took a break in the middle just to write this review, and I usually wait until game is finished. Lovely game if you do not need super hard and carrying around TONS of items and locked doors at every turn. There is a bit of thinking and minor challenge but it flows and it is just one darned great game. LOVE it.
I liked the music and the graphics and mostly enjoyed the play. I also adored it when you had to be somewhere and many times you would just fade out and BE there without the walking and walking or trying to find something to ride, etc. There was too much dialogue, though, and not enough quests. Many times there was only one thing to do. I played on easy as always. The story was rather complex, and even at the end I was still not sure I really "got" it. Enjoyable, though, and st least I was able to finish it without puzzles I could not figure out, nor dungeons I got so lost in that I gave up, like some other rpg games. I did not like it as much as Leah's tale and Ella's Hope, though, and am not positiv I would buy game two.
It did not have especially crisp graphics and the HOS were also grainy, but the story was interesting, the characters were fairly well developed and the mini games were quite challenging. It was a good length and I would have needed a walkthrough a few times but the hint button led me around quite nicely, so I didn't have to use it. It is a decent and fun game without any annoying qualities (other than the NO map) but the locations were not all that far apart, so it was not really bad at all. I call it above average fun. :)
Interesting and highly original story. A very different sort of HOS where u needed some inventory items to finish them at times, and this made it quite challenging as you may or may not have them yet. :) Beautiful graphics although the mouths were not linked well to the voices, which is the only negative thing I can think of at all, in this game. Good length, good satisfactory ending and helpful hint button. Thoroughly enjoyed this one. Quite different!
I thought this game was wonderful! Yes, some of the HOS were a bit small and it was not THAT bird, but another one, but that truly took nothing from the enjoyment I had playing this game. The music is not aggravating, the story is super interesting, to me, and there is not a lot of backtracking as the chapters are pretty much self contained. The game was long and interesting always. The hint button was not super helpful, but did help some, and there is a walkthrough for the few really challenging things. The puzzles were mostly all unique and some were easy and some I had NO idea, but they were really cool. This was fun to the max.
I really enjoy this series. It has great graphics, and interesting scenes that are quite detailed. The story is the same, basically, saving the children, but it is FUN! The only thing that stops me from giving it a solid 5 is the hint button. It does not really give hints, nor point you in a direction unless u are already there. Thus, I had to use the walkthru a few times. (That, however, is excellent). Lots of fun and divided into sections so you are not going back into long forgotten areas. The HO scenes are very interesting, because the objects to find are, many times, toys--and so you are not looking for a regular snake, but a stuffed toy snake that looks a lot different than you would think. Great Game.
From land, to deep underground, to high above Estis you can adventure with Leah as she makes startling discoveries about herself and the people around her.
I think this is my very favorite RPG game, so far. It did not have things that I disliked in others. It had no great trouble traveling around. You did not have to keep finding a boat or anything. It had bad things to fight, and side quests--some you may fail to find, but there were no top secret rooms, and the play was quite straightforward. This is NOT to say I did not get stumped a few times, and aggravated a few times by not finding something, but altogether this game was a delight to play. I used the forum a LOT with it, but that was fun, too. The game takes many hours to finish and is very satisfying when you do. There were no puzzles where you had to click fast or you lose, which is a plus for me, because I never could type. It was also not a really DARK game, but humorous and just plain DAYS of enjoyment. I am sorry it is over. Truly a hoot.
I truly enjoyed this game. The graphics were great and the story was very interesting. There was not much of a plot, but there was just something about this game that was totally intriguing. In fact, the plot was there, just sort of hidden through the whole game. There were a lot of different scenes, you could play match 3 instead of HO if you wanted to, and the hint button was good enough so no walkthrough was needed. The game was a fine length, had VO, and the main character was really quite an interesting guy..I really enjoyed this game so much, I could do nothing more than give it a 5. It was long enough, and stayed enjoyable, throughout.
It would be pretty difficult to make a game that is better in most ways. The only thing that would have made this game better is a map and less backtracking, but it was totally worth it. Not for beginners, this one has tons of challenge. Interesting and difficult mini games, for most..well done HOS (not too hard) and great story line. The game is above average length and very detailed. You just can't go wrong with this one and I will bet you need the walkthrough..:)
..and was afraid I wouldn't after reading reviews. The game was a hoot, and I would rate it as very challenging. For me, at times it was hard to figure out what to do next, but the hint button was helpful because in this game, if you have nothing to do in an area, there are probably only 2 or three more you have to check. VERY diverse and scary past lives, that girl had. This game was quite different, and interesting to the max, The graphics were not great, but they were so diverse that the graininess did not really matter too much. Thoroughly enjoyed it, and ending was satisfying.
