The colours were bright, the voices were very good and the storyline held my interest right through to the end, it was a breath of fresh air after all the dark games recently.
Yes there's a bad guy but isn't there always, and oddly enough I quite liked him especially his voice.
Map - It is clear and transports you quickly, something I relied on as there was a lot of to-ing and fro-ing.
20 Achievements - including one for Defeating a Giant Worm although I thought it was a dragon!
90 Collectibles - Don't worry if you miss one because at the end of the game you can go back to find them all. Some were easy to spot and there can be at least 2 in each scene, they also appear in the pop-up boxes. As the game progressed, for me they where rather hard to find as they blended in with the background scenery.
15 Morphing Objects - all masks, all different and a bit hard to find as they only stay there for about 2-3 seconds before appearing again possibly 5-8 seconds later. Like the collectibles you can go back to find them all.
The Bonus Chapter was of a decent length and I enjoyed it.
Once you have completed both the main game, the bonus and found all the collectibles and morphs a Match 3 game automatically pops up.
Hopefully there will be more fantasy games soon as I love the colourful creatures the devs come up with.
The graphics are good as well as the voices, and the music is appropriate. The story runs smoothly so there's no need to tear your hair out wondering where to go or what to do.
You receive a double sided artifact from Conrad, one good side and the other an evil side. When it's time to use it there's a short clip showing you what the previous owners used it for.
Helper - Well the ferret isn't really a helper as it stays in your inventory and does not sing, dance or ask to be dressed up!
Map - No need to search for it as it's already there and it shows if you have found all the collectibles. I love this feature as some devs don't allow you to go back and collect them, so I am repeatedly clicking on the map before I visit the next scene.
23 Achievements which are rather easy to collect, but they might get more difficult as the game progresses.
Collectibles - Puzzle pieces in each scene, sometimes just 1 or 2, although the last scene I went to had 4 to collect. There is a pop-up tab on the left that shows you how many there are in that scene.
Extras: 14 HOS to replay 18 Mini Games to replay. The remaining Extras are the usual, Concept Art, Music, etc.
You could probably complete the HOS in just a minute and if you dislike puzzles they are so incredibly easy you are bound to get the Achievement for it, if there is one.
As per usual grainy graphics and the voices were awful, especially from the character we first meet.
That's it, I have nothing nice to say about this game.
For me this game was compelling so I had to play it straight away, even though I am supposed to be somewhere else today.
So far the game is dark with a few scenes a bit more colourful. As usual with these devs the scenery, voices, music are all excellent.
Puzzles/Mini Games - I really liked them, some were very easy and others time consuming.
HOS - were very good and have a morphing object to find in each one. I found the first one quite frustrating, although I did manage to find everything but it took me about 20 minutes or so!
14 Achievements
29 Collectibles - all paw prints.
Extras: Card Gallery Jigsaw Collectible Hunt
If you like creepy and dark games, this one is for you.
I love this series, there's always so much to do I never get bored in these games.
I won't describe the storyline but near the beginning you meet a Beaverling and he's very talkative.
HOS - interactive. The first was a silhouette where you find something that allows you to get the next item.
Puzzles/Mini Games - I liked them and they weren't too hard.
Map (on the right hand side) transports quickly and also shows if there is still a collectible or morphing object to find in the scene.
Diary is on the left hand side.
Bow of the Ship (on the left hand side) is a Dragon Head when you hover over it, it says Additional. It contains the Strategy Guide, Achievements, Collections and Tasks.
21 Achievements
Collectibles and there are a lot of them. 8 Skulls 8 Bottles 8 Sailboat Models 8 Fish Statuettes 20 Manuscripts 15 Masks 8 Map Pieces 32 Morphing Objects, all different things.
Extras include: 23 Mini Games and 7 Puzzles to replay. The rest are the usual things like Wallpapers, Concept Art, etc.
I'm on the fence with this one. The game is far too easy to play and certainly not mind blowing. The devs are using the same format as in previous games of this series and for me it's becoming a bit stale.
I found the graphics rather dull and sometimes grainy, the voices were good though.
I loved seeing the Graveyard Cat again.
Map - it is given at the beginning and it transports. It covers 2 pages at least and to move to the other page you have to click on the Help sign at the bottom of the map.
Memory Fragment Detector which finds recent memories in a scene.
24 Achievements - For anyone who hopes to get them all, I'm sorry to say that you won't. I read all the achievements and one counteracts another.
HOS - Mainly lists with a bit of interaction.
Puzzles/Mini Games - I enjoyed these although they were very easy in the demo. There was a Super Puzzle as they call it that had 4 little puzzles to solve, it was so incredibly easy I finished it under a minute. I long for the days when we had Rube Goldberg puzzles as they were a real challenge.
Extras: 15 Mini Games and 19 HOS to replay..
7 Collectibles - These are jewelled, mechanical insects, for example a spider and a centipede. You can view them from a tab on the left hand side of the screen. If you click on one it zooms out and there is a Play button below it for a mini game, I really liked that feature.
After reading the warning for the game I expected to be scared - creepy yes, but not harrowing in my opinion.
The graphics are good, with exception of blurred scenes when a ghost is present which you have to find by using a phone borrowed from your niece. The voices were very clear and the music wasn't intrusive.
17 Achievements including, one for using the map 20 times.
Map: Given shortly into the game, it's clear and it transports you.
HOS: So far all are interactive.
6 Puzzles and 10 Mini Games to replay.
44 Collectibles that are morphing puzzle pieces. They morph after several seconds and some have 2 in a scene.
Extras: A Developer Diary and the usual others, like Wallpapers, Soundtracks, etc.
Warning: for those who hate zip pulls it appears in the first scene when you are in the house!
I thoroughly enjoyed the demo and can't wait to play the rest of the game. The intro started with a song which I quite liked, I don't think I've seen this in a game before.
Great graphics, appropriate music and nice clear voice overs.
You are given an amulet from Charon that rids the scene of the darkness so that you can continue in your quest.
Map - there's no need to find it as it's already included. It is clear and transports you quickly.
Strategy Guide - it's on the left hand side shown as a ? I thought I would add this as in previous games I've played I have had so many PMs asking me where it is.
HOS - interactive and unusual, and very good in my opinion.
Puzzles - unique ones so far and not too hard, although I did find one that was a bit time consuming.
43 Collectibles - Omega Symbols. To be honest I am getting tired of games where the collectibles are all the same. A little bit of diversity would make the game far more interesting.
15 Achievements - If you are set on getting all the achievements, don't forget the Spotter Plodder one.
20 Vanquishers - i.e. solve all the puzzles without skipping.
I found this game rather compelling and bought it straight after the demo finished. The scenery is interesting, I can't remember the music which for me means it wasn't awful and the voices are good, some with lip synch and others not.
There's quite a bit of dialogue to read which I like but if you don't, you can click on it to carry on playing.
There is a Medallion which you have to charge with energy orbs, and there isn't a Helper.
Map - you receive it fairly shortly into the game.
HOS - I enjoyed these, especially the one where you had to interact with two different scenes.
Puzzles - I loved them and found them relatively easy to complete except one which took me a bit longer to work out.
16 Achievements - one of which is to complete a HOS scene using the Bubble Popper only.
38 Collectibles - as per usual they are all the same, the only way I can describe it is a Golden Statue but I cannot guess at what it resembles.
Extras: 13 HOS and 18 Puzzles to replay. Souvenir Room Bubble Popper game only accessible after you have played the bonus chapter.
As per usual in this series, we play two characters Rachel and her betrothed, but Bluebeard is bent on marrying her instead. So off we go to try and stop Bluebeard's plan.
The graphics, voices and music are very good.
The map appears near the beginning of the game. It's very clear and transports you quickly.
You receive a Journal which shows the next stage in the game.
The HOS are very interactive and varied
There are a lot of extras too - 30 Achievements. 18 Mini Games/Puzzles to replay. Book of Spells with 15 to find. A Boudoir to decorate.
Collectibles: 49 Roses in 35 different locations. 15 Scrolls. 13 Statuettes of the cast to find. 12 Mysterious Morphing Animals which you can click on to read their bio, either when you've found them or in the extras.
