Would prefer to give this game 4/12 stars as it lacked a few minor things to prevent it from perfection.
Excellent graphics, voice-overs, and cut-scenes.
This was primarily an adventure game, with only a few hidden object games - these having some interaction which was good. But on the bad side, they did sparkle even on the hardest game play.
Puzzles were mostly easy and standard.
There were no bonus hidden objects or achievements to earn.
The game itself was an okay length and flowed nicely.
Storyline was not edge of your seat interesting, and at times seemed a bit choppy. Too many holes in it.
Bonus chapter followed on from main story but wasn't essential to it. And was more of the same calibre as the main game.
I did use the strategy guide a couple of times, and because of this and the fact the bonus chapter was okay, I would definitely recommend the CE version.
I recommend this game!

Lately I've been getting somewhat bored of the carbon copy ERS games. So this one came as a surprise.
Excellent graphics, voice-overs, and cut-scenes.
Puzzles and hidden object games were a touch easy, although the latter had a bit of variety this time, which included silhouettes that needed to be found in a particular order.
No bonus items or achievements to earn, although you could collect puppy 'badges' along the way.
The game was a good length , and storyline flowed if perhaps a little weak.
Bonus chapter flowed on from main but was a separate story. Was the same calibre as the main game.
Would definitely recommend this as a CE game.
I recommend this game!

When broken up into sections, there wasn't really anything good about this game - so i find it rather odd that i still enjoyed playing it.
Graphics were nice, but not exceptional.
Hidden object games and puzzles had no challenge whatsoever.
There were no bonus items or achievements to earn.
You had a journal that covered the very basics, and a map that sparkled your next task but could not be used to jump scenes.
The storyline was boring and only just flowed together. If there is one thing i hate it is where the bad guy needs certain tasks performed for world dominance.....so we perform them. Why would you?
The bonus chapter was a short story that then went into playing 'zen games'.
And through it all, despite the fact that it was ridiculously easy, you were told what to do. Even when it was staring you in the face, you'd still have to wait until it was all explained.
Still, i would recommend this game but suggest to wait until the SE comes out.
I recommend this game!

Would prefer to give this 3 1/2 stars.
After reading some of the reviews I didn't have high expectations of this game, so after playing it i was pleasantly surprised, and had to buy it.
The premise for this game is quite simple. Find patterns, in a grid, of same coloured gems and in a certain number of moves or within a set time frame.
You then earn one, two or three stars depending on whether you complete all tasks or not.
Provided you aim for the three stars each round, this game is at times very challenging. And highly addictive! I found myself saying 'just one more game' on several occasions.
There was no storyline to follow, or any 'what happens next' to hold your interest. It is purely board to board challenging games.
Too many games at once could become slightly repetitive, but overall an excellent time filler.
I recommend this game!

I would prefer to give this 2 1/2 stars.
I just could not get into this game, was absolutely no interest at all.
There were plenty of cut-scenes, probably too many, but the voice-overs didn't align properly, and tended to drag a bit.
The graphics were reasonable but not of the same calibre as a lot of the games these days.
The hidden object games were easy and marginally interactive.
Puzzles were very run of the mill.
The storyline could have been interesting, but was poorly executed, leaving me not really caring what happened next.
I played the whole hour, so it wasn't exactly boring....but that was enough for me.
I don't recommend this game.

I would normally deduct a star due to the length of the game, but it was just too good for that.
Excellent graphics, cut-scenes and voice-overs.
Hidden object games were slightly interactive, and very easy. It also had a puzzles button (i assume instead of - didn't use it).
Puzzles were too easy - no challenge at all (even solved one straight away without even knowing what to do!). On the upside - no annoying sparkles.
But where the game slips with the puzzles, it makes up with achievements and plenty of bonus hidden items (i missed one - sob!).
You had a map for easy jumping of scenes, and a very basic journal.
I never used the hint button. Strategy guide was straight forward.
Storyline was slightly on the boring and predictable side, although the concept was relatively unique. But it was one of those games where the story really did not matter all that much.
I played the game in 3 hours - which is too short for a CE game.
Bonus game followed on from main story, but wasn't essential to it. Was of the same calibre as the main game.
I finished this in under an hour, which was also too short.
Definitely would recommend this game, and even though it was too short, I would still say it is worthy of the CE collection.
I recommend this game!

Really a 4 1/2 stars games.
The thing i love most about this games is the graphics. The way it transitions a room from modern to spooky so smoothly. Cut scenes and voice-overs were also very well done.
You had standard basic hidden object games, without any interaction, and also reverse of hidden object games, where you have to replace items. All were very easy.
Puzzles varied in challenge, but none were particularly hard.
The biggest problem i had with this game was on my computer it ran very slow and sluggish, especially with the puzzles.
There were no bonus items or achievements to earn.
You had a journal but no map, so there was no jumping scenes. At times this was a little tedious.
I never used the hint button, but did on occasion have to resort to the Strategy Guide, which i found very easy to use.
Game length was reasonable. The storyline was a little weak. At times I wasn't even sure what was really happening, but this in no way diminished the fun.
Bonus chapter followed on from main story but wasn't essential to it. It wasn't particularly long, but was of the same calibre as the main game.
Definitely recommend this game, and would probably lean towards the CE version.
I recommend this game!

I think the thing I liked most about this game was that everything was well balanced. Tasks, hidden object games, puzzles, cut-scenes....they were all perfectly in balance with each other.
The cut-scenes were superbly done. Whilst the music in most of the game was fairly average, the cut-scene and music of the ship going back in time gave me goosebumps.
Unfortunately, this game did have a few down sides. Puzzles and hidden object games were way too easy. There was also no bonus hidden items, and no achievements to earn - which takes a lot of the challenge out of the game.
You had a diary, and map that you could use to jump scenes, and Strategy Guide was well set out.
The bonus chapter was a slightly different concept in that it was in the middle of the game rather than the end, and was done as an added chapter. It was not integral to the game.
The game was of average length and the storyline was fairly predictable and bland.
I thoroughly enjoyed this game, and definitely recommend - although CE or SE.......I think it would come down to personal preference.
I recommend this game!

This game, to me, had everything....but at the same time failed dismally.
The game itself had nice graphics, cut-scenes, and voice-overs, although slightly on the bland side.
The hidden object games were only slightly interactive, and easy.
Puzzles were also easy.
There were bonus achievements to earn - but only very basic ones.
You had extra items to collect, but they were so obscure and hard to see - even after knowing where it is - that it became pointless even trying to find them. For example, a lot of them are hidden behind a small chalk drawn cross - next to impossible to see. Also, I didn't even realise there were any to collect until a couple scenes in, and by that time one of the scenes could no longer be accessed.
You had a map that could jump to locations, and was quite well done. The only positive in the whole game. And just as well, as there was a lot of back and forward, with absolutely no pattern to it at all.
You had a journal that was, frankly, a waste of time - very minimal entries only.
The storyline was dead boring. Why, I am not sure, as it is an interesting concept. But it just lacked any interest at all. And any twists in the plot are ruined if you look at what achievements can be earned at the beginning of the game.
I can't comment on the bonus chapter as I gave up well before then.
If you like games that keep you second guessing, and you can't get away from, then I suggest looking elsewhere.
I don't recommend this game.

Probably closer to 4 1/2 stars, but bumped it up to 5 as this game took me totally by surprise.
Firstly, there was no hidden objects, it was purely adventure - which didn't even dawn on me until near the end.
The puzzles weren't particularly challenging, but had a nice easy and relaxing feel to them.
Graphics were lovely, and the game played well.
You could also collect 'beholders' which were these all-seeing eyeball critters - and were creepy and cool at the same time.
There were achievements to earn, although they didn't actually highlight on the achievements page. I suspect this would have been reserved for the premium edition.
No map, but none was really required as you moved from dream to dream so there wasn't a lot of running around.
Have to make mention of 'Benny' who was a sort of fanged furby - very cute, that popped up every so often.
The storyline was there, but fairly bland and no each of your seat action.
The game itself was a good length.
Highly recommend this game.
I recommend this game!
