I think I was hooked right at the beginning with the organ grinder singing Poe's "the raven", and I couldn't leave this game until the very end!
It had everything.......well almost, as there were no achievements to earn. But contained all the other aspects I expect in a CE game. And an actual storyline to go with it.
Stunning graphics, good voice-overs, lovely cut-scenes.
Hidden object scenes were only slightly interactive, and puzzles a tad easy.
Game seemed a fair length - although not really sure as I was too engrossed in the game to pay attention to time.
Bonus chapter followed on from main story, but wasn't essential to it. However, if you like your stories with well-rounded endings, then the bonus chapter is a must.
CE or SE? Definitely the CE, if for no other reason than the story itself.
Highly recommend!
I recommend this game!

I'll start with the most annoying thing with this game - the 2 main characters [queen and prince]. They were live/real people, and were overacted and miscast to the point of being irritating.
Other than that, the game was pleasant to play.
Beautiful graphics, with great cut-scenes [especially loved the narrators voice].
Achievements to earn [although Tutorial achievement included - grrr] and bonus objects to find.
Hidden objects were very easy although a couple of scenes had 1 item that was slightly obscure.
Puzzles were a collection of the usual - and were extremely easy. Very basic stuff.
Storyline was average and game length was fair.
Bonus chapter followed on from main story, but not essential to it. More of the same play as main game. Storyline was flawed and full of holes. Also wasn't very long, but still acceptable...just.
Would recommend this game, but SE or CE....flip a coin to decide.
I recommend this game!

Really, I would like to give this 4 1/2 stars.
Stunning graphics, with excellent cut-scenes and voice-overs.
Almost everything you could ask for in a CE game
Achievements and bonus items to earn.
Good storyline for once.
Only place the game fell short was with the hidden object games that were with basic interaction only, and the puzzles which didn't take much thought - a tad too easy. Also sparkled, which I find really annoying.
Game was a fair length.
Bonus chapter followed on from main story but wasn't really much to do with the storyline (or the original story itself) and was quite weak.
Hidden object games were not quite as clear as they were in main game either.
Definitely recommend this game.
I recommend this game!

I remember liking the previous ones, but this was a very run of the mill game.
I think the time travel was the only novelty in it, and even that got boring after a while, and also took away any sort of challenge as to what to do next.
Even on the hardest level, hidden object games still sparkled.
There were no achievements or bonus items to collect.
Puzzles and hidden items were too easy.
Storyline was predictable.
The overall game was also very short.
All this also applied to the bonus chapter, whichwas just an excerpt from another character.
If you like simple run of the mill games then this one is for you, but wait for the SE.
I recommend this game but only because it wasn't totally boring to play.
I recommend this game!

An hour was enough for me...
If you played the first game, you played them all, basically.
Standard match 3 game, without much challenge.
Each level was slightly harder than the previous - but only by adding an extra crystal, or another obstacle.
There were bonuses to purchase, but very unclear as to what they even did.
Graphics were okay, and catered for widescreen in as much as putting a pattern either side of the game screen.
No real storyline that I could discern.
I normally love match 3, but this one didn't appeal to me in the slightest.
I don't recommend this game.

I enjoyed the first two of this series, so bought this straight out. But it's reached a point where if you've played one ERS game, you've played them all.
Typical to all games by this dev, you've got stunning graphics, voice-overs, and cut-scenes. The details and complexities of each scene always amaze me.
But that is where it falls flat.
No achievements or bonus objects - something I feel is essential to CE games.
Hidden object games where basic, and a couple of times a bit hazy. Puzles were run of the mill and easy.
The story flowed well but was basically so over-used that it was totally predictable.
The game wasn't particularly long either.
I only vaguely recall playing the bonus chapter - which pretty much sums it up. Once again, also a tad short.
Definitely not worth the CE version, but would highly recommend getting the SE - even if only for the graphics.
I recommend this game!

Firstly I have to say I had become somewhat bored with these sorts of games all being repetitious - but this one rescued me from the depths of ennui.
Lovely graphics, good cut-scenes, voice-overs well done.
Hidden object games interactive with inventory, and some unique puzzles - although way too easy, lacking any challenge at all.
A few minor grammar (eg. a broken leg that you need to "fixate"), and item errors, but not enough to even be noticeable.
Achievements to earn (even if some of them went missing), and bonus flowers to collect. But you don't just collect them, you then can use them as currency to restore scenes in a separate section to the main game - what a great idea!
Storyline was good, although not edge of your seat action.
Game length was reasonable.
Bonus chapter followed on from main game but wasn't essential to the main story. The bonus chapter was a good length and every bit as well done as the main game.
CE or SE? - I'd say definitely worth the CE price.
I recommend this game!

I'm only half way through the game but really cant be bothered playing the rest.
Whilst the graphics, cut-scenes, and voice-overs are well done, and caters for wide-screen, there isnt much more I can say for the game.
The puzzles and hidden object are rediculously easy - and are also 'sparkled' even on the hard mode.
There are no bonus objects to find, and no achievements to earn.
There is no map - not that i needed one, but still is handy to have.
The storyline itself was okay, but not captivating. I have no desire to play the game to see if good triumphs over evil at all.
This game would probably be okay in a SE version, but as a CE - definitely not. Except for the graphics nothing in this game is CE callibre.
I don't recommend this game.

Would have to be the best game I've played this year and equal with one of my most favourites, Dorien Grey Syndrome.
There was so much to like in this game.
The graphics were excellent. Voice-overs well done.
The way it was set out gave it a slight Sherlock Holmes feel, with you as a Dr Watson..
Puzzles and hidden object games were run of the mill, and bordered on the easy side. But the main activities were more of the adventure genre, collecting items to do tasks as you go along.
There were only a few shortfalls that come to mind - add them in and the game would have been perfect.
It needed a journal. At the start of the game you're too busy getting to know the ins and outs to pay close attention to the storyline - and unlike most game, this one actually had one (although the transition to the ending was a little weak).
There were also no achievements or bonus objects to find, which is something I love.
But the game was so enjoyable that you quickly forget what it didn't have and got on with what it did.
The bonus chapter followed on from the main story but wasn't essential too it. Bonus chapter was a little short, but once again brilliantly done. It even had a touch of Dorien Grey in it.
With a short bonus chapter I would normally advise the SE version, but in this case i would definitely say go the CE purely because it is a CE callibre game.
I recommend this game!

With the given game title, I really didn't expect much of this game (title was neither relevant nor appropriate), but thought I'd give it a try anyway.
The game started a little slowly, but after an hour of play I was totally hooked.
Lovely graphics and voice-overs. The main voice is a little girlish...until you realise you are actually Thumbelina.
The hidden object games were slightly interactive, and the puzzles varied in level of challenge, although I did find that a couple of the puzzles weren't clearly explained.
There were bonus objects to find, and achievements to earn.
The Strategy Guide was easy to follow, and the game included a map which you could also use to jump scenes.
Only thing missing was a journal.
The storyline, whilst predictable and not particularly captivating, was still okay, and the game was a decent length.
The bonus chapter was a follow on from main story, by another character, and was also a good length. Actually, the bonus game was easily as enjoyable as the main.
Definitely recommend this game, and definitely the CE version.
I recommend this game!
