This game borrows heavily from Dark City London, so it was like watching/playing a repeat at times. I know it's part of a series but I think it's a bit lazy to just cut and paste bits of Dark City London into this, which was the impression I got. Also, the game play is purposely elaborate and full of stops and starts, halting play. It slows down, it speeds up. To be fair, I know that's part of the stye of this series and puts me in mind of Robert Downey Jr's Sherlock Holmes character.
There are simply not enough HOS for a HOS lover. Can't fault atmosphere, sound and vision and especially the storyline, which helps make up for the frills, ribbons, repeats and subsequent tedium.
I don't recommend this game.

There are 60 levels in this game and a blue zoom in area in each HOS where you will have to find a couple of the listed hidden objects.
There are 10 different puzzles/mini games. Use your skips on the puzzles frugally, if you're not much of a puzzle person, as they do get more difficult as you go along. You only ever get a maximum of 5 skips on puzzles, but you can use them now and again as you will keep getting awarded skip coins, but only ever up to a maximum of 5. I liked all the historical facts about the French Revolution. Quite gruesome really! Very good game.
I recommend this game!

This game has 60 levels,10 different mini puzzles and also a zoom in area on all HOS. Lovely graphics and design. There's something quite classy about this game. It was a pleasure to play. I really liked finding the hidden guitar in every scene. It's little things like that, that make it exciting!
Well, maybe not exciting but it keeps a certain motivation going. Also, there are achievements to earn in this one, which is a nice added feature. The objects are neither too difficult or too easy to find, creating a perfect balance throughout.

This has 60 levels, 4 different mini games and no zoom in area. It has no skip coins on any of the mini games. I first played this over a year ago and had to quit at level 42 because of the impossible match 3 type game. At least if it had had a skip option, this game may have saved itself the embarrassment of all these negative reviews. It's unlucky really, either a skip coin or a game that was solvable, only one or the other was needed, but unfortunately, it ended up lacking both, making the player in most circumstances, frustrated and disappointed.
I just played it again and if it wasn't for the helpful review, from MercuryNeptune and his/her good advice, I would never have completed it. I also had to call in the big guns, i.e my husband, to play the dreaded match 3 type game because I'm not good at them at the best of times. So I would never have completed it without those two things. He found it hard going though. I actually liked this game too, I liked the graphics and the HOS, the jazzy music and the fun facts and all the other min games, so it was a shame that this flaw lets the game down.
I don't recommend this game.

It has 76 rounds and 6 mini games. I found the objects quite hard to find a lot of the time and it could be a bit tedious, a bit arduous. Maybe it was just too long. The mini games were easy. You have up to 5 skip coins with those, although you probably won't need them. There's no zoom in area in HOS. It was okay, with cute and interesting scenes for the most part and good fun facts about Australia and its history.
I recommend this game!

This game is not for the faint hearted. It really make you work for rewards. You start off with a limited amount of money to buy ingredients for a meal that you must cook at the end of the round. You get your money through finding hidden objects. You won't make extra money unless you find the objects in a chain of at least two, but three or more are better. So, you have to plan this in advance in the HOS, seeing where objects are grouped together to click on them in quick sucession. There are six restaurants, each specialising in different cuisines from around the world. The downside is, it's a little short. I wanted maybe two or three more restaurants. It also punishes you quite a lot. Misclicks will result in loss of money and time. The best way to get through this, is to repeat the scene until you have memorised where most of the objects are. I liked the fact that you can buy really cheap and nasty ingredients or spend a bit more and get the best. The snag is, to get the best ingredients and make a great meal to please the chefs, you must purchase quality ingredients. I made 2nd place chef in most restaurants and only 1st place in one, no matter how much I replayed the scenes. They don't make games like this anymore and some people might say, Thank God, but I also liked the graphics and environmental sound effects, although the sound was sometimes a bit annoying. The fun for me was in the challenge. It's all HOS, apart from the end of the round where you actually make the three course meal with your ingredients. It's not a relaxing game but it is exciting!
I recommend this game!

This Big City Adventure has 90 levels and 8 different mini games, which each appear throughout the game, in between every hidden object scene. With all those levels, this is one of the longest Big City Adventures and you do get your money's worth. You only get up to 5 skip coins for each mini game but I found that I very rarely used them, as the puzzles were fun, interesting and easy! They do get progressively more difficult as the game goes on, so if you do want to skip, best to save those coins for the last ten levels, or for a certain puzzle that you don't like so much.
The facts that come up before a HOS, depicting an area of New York, were informative and interesting and the cute animals and funny little animations in them always make me smile.
I recommend this game!

It has 51 levels and 10 different mini games that appear between each hidden object scene. It only has a zoom-in area in very occasional scenes. Limited hint and skip coins.
I didn't find it as much fun or as relaxing as other Big City games. It's also much shorter. I diisliked quite a few of the puzzles in this one. I would squirrel away the skips here because I knew I would need them later on when the mini games got progressively harder. The informative facts about London were the highlight for me but I was quite relieved when it ended.
I don't recommend this game.

This game has 69 levels and 7 different puzzles/mini games that appear throughout the game, between each hidden object scene. There are limited skip coins that you collect for the mini games and you can only have five at any one time. I found that if you don't spend your skips too soon, you'll have a safety net for later on when the mini games become more difficult. It wasn't so much of a problem in this game because overall, they were quite fun and easy, but in other Big City Adventure games, they can be a bit more tedious and you might want to skip. In each HOS there is a hidden blue area, that can be zoomed into. You will find a couple of hidden objects here. There are also limited hints in the HOS. I find that if you go into limited time mode, you can start the scenes again if need be and get more hint coins that way.
I love the cute soft toys that feature throughout the scenes, no humans allowed! You'll get teddy bears piloting planes and things like that. I found it a cosy and appropiate game for winter and I love the fun facts about Vancouver too.
I recommend this game!

I thought I was going to love this but I didn't. The graphics were okay, The story was decent. The gameplay was okay but not straight forward. There were few HOS and very many mini games. I like a lot of HOS, so that was never going to work. I got lost a few times. I couldn't relax while I was playing it, it kept me on edge. I wasn't that enamoured with the gameplay but it was no-one's fault, we just didn't get on.
Great cut scenes and very full and satisfying ending. As cut scenes and endings go, it does give you your money's worth.
I recommend this game!
