This was not at all what I was expecting, especially considering the excellent reviews.
This game came out in 2015? I would have guessed it was created at the turn of the century given that you have limited hints, hard to see graphics and time limits. I guess some people like the challenge, but I prefer to hang onto what's left of my eyesight. The facts about the city were interesting, though.
I don't recommend this game.

Bengal - Game of Gods
Help your big feline friend break up a nonstop chain of colored balls in this original action puzzle.
This game is so old now, I wasn't expecting much. Most ball shooter games, in my experience, are much the same. I was happy to be proven wrong!
This game is different in that the line of balls suddenly will twist and turn about, quite like the tail of a bengal tiger. I made it to about 24 levels and was very surprised by how much fun I had!
I recommend this game!

Diamond Drop 2
Gary the diamond mining mole returns, and once again hes in a whole lot of trouble.
The original Diamond Drop was fun, but had very little purpose to it. This one was much better! You could make jewelry for customers, fill up your bank, and buy items to improve your store!
Unfortunately, I didn't get very far because of the horror that is TIMED MODE! There was no option to turn off the timer and I just couldn't get past the 2nd level.

Alice and the Magic Gardens
Free the world of fairies from the grip of a dark magic in Alice and the Magic Gardens, a fun Match 3 game!
This is a sweet match-3 game I've played many times over the years, but unfortunately Windows 11 rendered a lot of older 32-bit games unplayable.
If you have an older operating system, feel free to try it out. For those of you that are computer savvy, there are apparently work arounds you can research, but they did not work for me.
I really wanted to like this game. It's challenging, it's interesting and it's not the usual cookie-cutter game we've become accustomed to. I also very much like gore!
Unfortunately, I just wasn't up to the challenge. Even with multiple walkthroughs, I just kept hitting dead ends. I don't regret playing it, I just wish I had the brain power to complete it!

Akhra: The Treasures
Become the greatest inventor in the world of Akhra! Utilize ancient artifacts to find all of the hidden treasures.
This is a good little match-3 game, but it went on a bit too long for my taste.
There are 10 maps to play, and I made it through 5 of them before I decided to call it quits. In particular, I didn't like having to constantly click to get jewels in the cavern to make the special bombs, etc. Not bad for a 12 year old game, though!
We know the story of Queen Sophia...but what of her origins? Play this exciting game to learn more about it!
First of all, thank you to Big Fish Games for giving us this game for free during the long quarantine lockdown. I really enjoyed it! The puzzles were challenging and the story interesting. My only disappointment was in finding the hidden fairies. I collected only 45 out of 46. Just a head's up, you will need to click the fairy IMMEDIATELY in the very last scene of the regular game! If you allow the cut scene to play out, you will lose your chance to get it.
I recommend this game!

Awakening: The Redleaf Forest
After a long journey, Queen Sophia faces her enemy for the last time - but will she succeed in saving her parents?
Sophia needs to mend fences between the centaurs and dwarves so that she can finally awaken her parents!
I really enjoyed this game! The art was a bit old school but the mini-games and challenges made up for it. I loved the handy little dragon that was available to set anything on fire! It was a nice, long game with a satisfying ending. Just be sure to use the map, it's quite a big world!
I recommend this game!

Awakening: The Dreamless Castle
After Awakening in a mysterious castle it's up to you to collect clues and items needed to solve perplexing puzzles and escape!
You awaken in a castle to discover you're a princess in a world of goblins and fairies!
This game is 13 years old as of my writing this review, but it's still held up as a great game! It's the first in the Awakening series and sets the stage for Princess Sophia. You basically wander around the castle (unfortunately, without a map) collecting runes and playing games as you work towards releasing the goblins. They've been waiting for you to wake up for 100 years, after all! The hidden object scenes were tough to see but the loads of fun puzzles make up for it. Afterwards, you can play several levels of "Goblinjong" to learn some secrets about your magical world.
Complete 138 levels of Christmas mahjong and build your Christmas village!
I really enjoyed this game and was able to complete the levels and the village without any problems. I recommend spending your coins on shuffle so that you don't have to keep starting all over. I actually like that it zoomed in because it made it easier for me to see the tiles. Also, if you don't like the music you have the option to mute it. I could only give it 4 stars though because every time I left the game to go attend to something it was frozen when I came back and I had to restart it numerous times. Even with that, I still enjoyed playing it!
