I decided to play this around Christmas time because I was told it was holiday-themed. Actually, only the first section of the map appears to be for Christmas (just the first 13 puzzles).
I was able to get pass the Christmas section, but just barely. As much as I enjoy pipe-connecting puzzles, this one was frustrating because the blank squares keep continually filling up with pieces until there is no room left.
An author finds himself catapulted into his own Christmas story one night! Can his characters help him regain his holiday cheer?
Okay, I understand the complaints. This one was different. There was no map, the English wasn't the best, and the items they put together were odd. For example, you cut a hunk of cheese with a seashell, and then sliced it up with guitar strings!
That being said...I liked it! I liked it because it was unusual and we actually had to use our heads for once. People are always complaining these games have become boring and predictable, but the minute we get a challenge, they still complain! Just use the hint and skip buttons liberally and you'll be able to complete the story. The artwork alone made it worth it!
Well, we all know what can happen when two ice skaters get into a heated competition, don't we? Play as a detective trying to solve crimes that will leave your heart frozen!
I enjoyed this game! I was hoping it might have a few Christmas items thrown in, but it definitely did not! There was one crime that was downright ghoulish to see! I enjoyed the puzzles and the interactive hidden object scenes, as well as the ever-changing storyline.
Enjoy hundreds of beautiful Fall-themed scenes made into puzzles. You can change the shape and even the number of the puzzle pieces.
I love this puzzle series, but with a newer computer, I've had issues with them. The Halloween and last two Thanksgiving puzzles were all blue! This one, however, worked perfectly! I particularly enjoyed the "treat" section.
Two broken toys have went rogue and are causing trouble for the elves! Show them the spirit of the season and save Christmas!
I am constantly disappointed with the lackluster reviews for holiday games. I've been with Big Fish just as long as most of the people on this platform, and I still find joy in them. The art is gorgeous, the music magical, and the stories are fun for children and their parents. Take the reviews (mine included) with a grain of salt and at least give them a try with the hour long free trial. You won't regret it!
Enjoy hundreds of beautiful, Thanksgiving-themed puzzles! You decide on the number and shapes of the pieces.
As with the Halloween-themed puzzles from this series, all my pieces are tinted blue. Blue pumpkin pie is wild! I have a newer computer, so it may be a compatability issue. It's still a lovely game, though.
Upgrade a mall full of spooky customers!! Why don't they make games like this anymore?! I enjoyed every minute of it! I normally don't care for timed games, but this was one of the few exceptions.
You have a very plain mall full of five shops (grocery store, fish market, bakery, butcher and deli). All your customers are ghosts and ghouls! As you level up the shops, you get more helpers, more stock and more decor, and the mall evolves in the courtyard, too! Your customers aren't just ghosts and monsters, but also celebs! Einstein, Napoleon, and Nerfertiti, to name a few. I was able to complete all 100 levels with excellence.
Helpful hint: If you have trouble passing levels, go back to previous levels, earn some money, and level up your shops to make it easier.
Your friends have been kidnapped by an evil spirit! Can you save them from his world of nightmares?!
Our three friends from the Myth Debunkers are back and now true believers in the supernatural! I had a hard time getting into the last one, but I really like this one! It was nice and long and the story was more consistent. Also, despite the earlier warning, it really isn't super scary...just fun. I hope to meet the Truth Stalkers again!
A Halloween spirit is wreaking havoc on a spooky castle! Use your mystic powers and release the lost souls!
I enjoyed this one and because of that, I finished it fairly quickly. The graphics, as always, were gorgeous, and the puzzles were just challenging enough for me. I especially loved making the potion recipe!
A team of three myth debunkers find out that ignoring their cultural afterlife can be deadly!
This game was fun and colorful, although I struggled to follow the story because it was constantly shifting. There were three stories, revolving around North American, European, and Asian gods or demons that were plaguing the disbelievers. I enjoyed the puzzles but in particular the stories of the past. The ending was a bit confusing, but that's the hazard with buying SE games...they always seem to give the finale over to the CE games.
