I don't understand the people who review these games based only on playing the demo. If I had done that with this game it may have gotten only 2 stars. So glad I continued playing because the game got better and better. Yes, it was a fairy tale, and yes, there was way too much help on the most difficult level. But for some odd reason I didn't mind any of that with this game. There was so much to do in each scene that I found it impossible to get bored. And the game went on and on. It was one of the longer SE's I've played recently.
I liked the music but it was very repetitious. I'm not sure why the developers can't add different music for different scenes. Doesn't seem like it would be that difficult compared to the other things they're capable of.
Lots of puzzles & HOS's, and they were all fun. If you're in the mood for an enjoyable game that won't tax your brain too much you might really like this one. Oh, and kudos to the developers for using their imaginations by allowing us to use different inventory items than we're used to. For example, we don't always need a hammer to pound things. A rock, or even a sturdy shoe will do the job in most cases. This made the game even more fun.
I recommend this game!

I can't believe no one else has mentioned how short this game is (SE). The end came way too soon, but maybe that's because I was enjoying it so much. When I first started I was sure this was going to be a 5 star game for me. But it didn't meet those expectations. It's a beautiful game, with wonderful graphics, good voice overs, some nice puzzles, and HOS's that didn't bore me to death. Most of the music was quite nice, also. But it didn't go on long enough for me, and I found it to be quite easy. I much prefer a challenge. I never had to use a hint and I didn't even use the map. A little more difficulty and a little more length would have boosted this to 5 stars.

I had to uninstall & reinstall this game because one item didn't go into my inventory near the very beginning. After that the game worked fine. I was pleasantly surprised at some of the puzzles. They were different and fun. Voice overs were good, as were the graphics. Music was your standard "dramatic" theme, but nothing to get excited about. I felt that I got my money's worth because of the length and the puzzles. HOS's weren't bad, either. Good game; not great.

This is a challenging game that will have you pulling your hair out in some places. Thank goodness for the walk through! I would not have been able to finish the game without it.
Graphics, music, voiceovers, were good. I especially enjoyed the really unique puzzles. Some were quite easy, others had me totally frustrated, as there are no instructions on what you need to do.
I would recommend this to everyone except beginners. There are no difficulty choices, so you're stuck with a game that will be too challenging for a lot of inexperienced players.
I'm waiting for a sale so I can buy the sequel (Hidden Expedition, Uncharted Islands) and again be challenged the way I really enjoy.
I recommend this game!

There are so many things wrong with this game. Items you're looking for in the HOS's aren't what the description says. For instance, a brooch is called a "pen", a brush is called a "comb", etc. In one scene there's a barrel with a cork. We're told "I need to remove the cork so I can slide the lid off". Really? Removing a cork enables the entire lid to come off? One puzzle's instructions say to position items so none of the lines cross. I worked & worked on this and finally gave up after getting extremely frustrated. When I hit the skip button it showed the solution with some of the lines CROSSING!
I play on the hardest mode for a reason, yet I still continued to get hints like "if I find a hammer I can use it here". Honestly, expert players can figure this out for ourselves. We don't want OR need all that help.
The graphics were excellent, as usual. The music was barely noticeable except where it was very dramatic and intense. That didn't happen very often.
One thing I find exasperating with these games is the lack of imagination by the developers. There were several instances where an item in my inventory would have worked just fine to retrieve something. But no, you had to have a different item that really wasn't needed. For example, why do you need a valve for a water pump if you have a wrench that can be used instead to turn the water on? A lot of developers don't improvise enough. EIPIX is an exception to this. I really enjoy their games.
Just an okay game, in my opinion. I've played much better. I'm still recommending it for those who aren't as picky as I am.

Again, ERS didn't disappoint with their excellent graphics. They also didn't forget that some of us really enjoy good music with the story. Some of the voiceovers weren't the best, but most were adequate. I don't pay much attention to the story. Mini games were fun, and I liked having a choice in the HOS's to play a puzzle instead of finding hidden objects. Not quite up to 5 star standards, but still a fun little game.

Fantastic game! Enjoyed it immensely! This game has some innovations that I haven't seen in other games, especially in the HOS's. I look for something different in the new games. Too many developers just go for the same old stuff. If you want 5 star reviews you have to go above and beyond. Gamers are sophisticated. We demand games that keep us entertained and keep us thinking. This game has it all, in my opinion. Excellent graphics, some of the best voiceovers I've heard, beautiful music (very important to me), fun HOS's (which usually aren't my favorite), and some different puzzles (my favorite). Yes, the characters probably should have had an Italian accent, but they were good enough actors that I really didn't mind this oversight. Try this one! I'm pretty sure you'll like it!

I've been disappointed in some of the Elephant games lately, but not this one. Excellent! Fantastic graphics, good voiceovers, some challenging puzzles, not an overabundance of HOS's, and even a half-way interesting story. (I really don't get into the story lines because they're all so much alike.) I should explain that I don't mind a few HOS's if they're interactive ones. I just don't care for games that are nothing BUT HOS's. One thing that Elephant could do better at is incorporating better music into their stories. Music can really make a game for me. ERS & Eipix do a good job in this area. All in all, this was a very fun game for me.

The story was so disjointed; there was no flow to it at all. Some of the inventory items were used in strange places. I don't mind some improvising, but so many things just didn't make sense. I really loved the first Royal Statues. It's one of my favorites. This one didn't compare, in my opinion. I felt like they rushed it through just to get it completed. Can't recommend it.
I don't recommend this game.

Way too easy on hardcore mode. A scene would come up and it would say "maybe if I used a hammer on this". Really? We're playing on the most difficult mode and the developers think we need hints like that? This happened throughout the entire game. I never got stuck, never needed a hint, and was just ready for it to be over. The graphics also weren't up to Elephant Games' standards. Voiceovers were good, but that's about it. Very disappointed. I'm still recommending this game because I think beginners would enjoy it.
