Previously disappointed with Eipix games, I took a chance and purchased this game based on reviews and was surprised at the improvement from the developer. The graphics are excellent and the scenes numerous and interesting. Abundant mini games but fewer hidden object game, yet they are creative, well-designed and varied. However, several mini games are multi-layered and several are somewhat complicated and even confusing, but overall nicely crafted. Not a mini game fan, I made it through most of the games and a nice option in the multi-layered games is the ability to skip a layer so you could still attempt to complete the other layers. A bit back and forth but the hint transported so it isn't too annoying. The story line is attention-grabbing and transported the player to many scenic levels of interest along with a variety of multiple tasks. This is a very long game which I enjoyed and played over several days. Do not read further because…SPOILER....SPOILER....SPOILER
SPOILER Now the spoiler…the endings sucked! A woman behind bars smiling? Who is she? When did she first appear in the game? I know I played this game over several days, but I don’t remember her as a central character or even a small-part character.
The bonus game left me scratching my head. Disarm the bomb! Thought it was but then a big explosion and that’s it! What happened to the Master Detective? What happened to all the other detectives? Is this a set up for a sequel? A sad commentary for a well-crafted, innovative and move forward game to end with such disappointment. Maybe I missed something but I’ve played enough games and take notes throughout, so all I can say is “Really?”
I honestly don’t know how to rate this game because I’m upset at the poor endings. After all that time spent playing a long game to only end in dismay and disappointment. To be fair, I would have given this game a solid 3.5 or 4 for creative improvements, but based on those endings I give it a -1.
Eipix you are losing fans based on other reviews. Maybe you should think more about your customer rather than the bottom line.
Graphics varied from good to what happened? PINK! PURPLE! WAY TOO BRIGHT COLORING. The colors started to bother my eyes after about 15 minutes. Often the scenes were too dark and cluttered. Lots of back and forth and with little clarity. Music was immediately annoying and repetitive. Some special effects also made you suffer with clunks and/or continuous noises. What is wrong with silence sometimes? I don't need to hear a clunk when find something or complete a task. The Mini games were abundant with new take on old themes but time wasting. Hidden Objects games were sort of a mess. The story was all over the place and voice overs were poorly done. Script was dull and boring and sometimes confusing. This just didn't seem like the usual output from this developer. Someone dropped the ball with this one. I didn't finish the trial because I found this game more irritating than enjoyable. Give it a trial run to see what you think.
Agent Sarah, famous police detective, is called by the Chief of Police to solve yet another unsolvable crime in this captivating hidden object adventure game!
REALLY! You earn stars to advance and there is no interaction or animation. Text box and typed dialogue. Lack of innovation and/or imagination! It was boring from the start. I played the trial about 3 minutes and deleted the game. Sad representation for a game!
Graphics are excellent but with varied degrees of coloration. One issue is that some task items are in dark corners of a room or on a dark top shelf and the developers need to address this. Example guard knocked out on floor I almost missed him and had zip ties to secure him! Character design and voice overs are well done and they don't sound like children. Hidden Object Games are interactive, but again a few dark corners that needs to be edited and Mini Game are well crafted. Both games are attractive with attention to details. I thought the story moved forward, the tasks made sense with a purpose and it also held my attention which is a plus after trial running most of the new games and didn't purchase one! This one has a different theme which I enjoyed and it isn't based on fairy tales or a repeated storylines. Actually I will purchase this one just to enjoy the visuals and the characters and the change of pace. Of course, I suggest you take a trial run to see if it's your cup of tea!
Poor introduction, cab drops her off, she opens back door takes duck tape, a newspaper, and a few items from her bag and leaves the bag? Who writes this stuff? It doesn't get any better. Multiple games both mini and hidden object just interrupt the flow of what is supposed to be a story. Hint does transport which is a good thing because back and forth you will go! Graphics are annoying either too bright or too dark. Hard to see areas in both scenery and hidden object games. Music was repetitious and terrible, turned it off. LOCK PIC...NO...NO...just skipped. Rotate fragments. Sigh! So over used, so tired. So a villain wants the heart of London which will destroy the Secret World. So while a character is forced to create an artifact portal for him, you run around, gather stuff, watch a film and release a dog vs save the world. I am so disappointed by the lack of innovation, script writing and poor dialogue and lazy developers that toss in games to use up space. Make us some move forward games with new concepts and interesting characters. Honestly, I'm tired of the cookie cutter games that piggy back on the same old concepts and creations to just push out a new development. People are smart. They realize that a trial run will determine if they want to spend their hard earned money on a game, so wake up developers and recapture your own excitement, innovation and creativity that seems to be lost on most of these games. The universe is full of ideas! Grab a few new ones!
Graphics and character design are well done with attention to detail. Voice overs are good. No transport with hint. Hidden Object Games are a bit dark, rather dull and didn't take up the full screen which is not a favorite feature of mine. I usually don't bother with the Mini Games, no exception here. The game moved forward with multiple tasks but with a lot of back and forth. I rate the game a little above average, but just don't care for the smaller box in middle of screen for task collecting and games. Take advantage of the trial to see how you like it.
The script was annoying. Door is on fire so what do you do? You run around and collect task items! Before you can get to the extinguisher you have to play a hidden object game and locate 2 similar items that match and finally behind some shirts is the much-needed fire extinguisher. Run back to the house, splash the hot, burning door with water, so far so good, but wait…when you get inside there is absolutely no fire damage to the room? So, you continue to run back and forth for items to complete tasks that make you scratch your head. In the meantime, the dialogue is overdone and often child-like and the script is horrible. Who writes these scenarios? Even the hidden object game with hieroglyphics was a royal pain to find some of the required objects. After you find a book and a lamp, the storybook explains, as you click on highlighted words, some of Henry’s backstory about the lamp that he found and it saved his family. Obviously, the lamp will save friends, family and I suppose the world! Maybe world peace even! So far Henry has the best voice in the game. The lamp reveals your captured friend, Riley, who warns you IT is after Joshua, another friend. You call Joshua and sure enough he has gone on a wild goose chase and disappears before your eyes, but you can track his car. You find the car and start the collecting more items. A backpack without a zipper! That was it! I didn’t care if I had a box cutter to open the bag, just the idea that the zipper didn’t work was enough for me to exit! I usually enjoy Madhead games, but I had to force myself to stay with it as long as I did. Not a good representation of their usual enjoyable games. I wish I could say something positive, but I didn’t even like the characters or their designs. The scenes are nicely developed with attention to detail, but something was just missing in this game to the point that sadly I can’t recommend it.
Introduction is okay, graphics are excellent with attention to detail and with interesting scenery and locations. Character development varied, the uncle was very well done, but the three blue characters are not up to par. Voice overs varied too, sometimes over acted and I found the dialogue rather lacking, occasionally the nephew sounds like a little kid vs. a teenager. Hidden object games are interactive, well designed with attention to detail, but clicking on various objects to find the one needed is annoying. Mini games are well done and as a non-fan of mini games, I gave them a try but mostly found them time wasting and nothing new. Story background in a graphic in the middle portion of the screen requires finding parts to complete a building, etc. and sometimes locating where they need to be placed is hard to see. The last character, to appear in the trial, with blue hair is not developed as well as the uncle either, so someone dropped the ball on the “blue team.” My overall impression is a graphically pleasant game, with a story that so far moves forward with potential for more interesting locales, but the special ability using something attached to the hand is overused and boring. The main reason I will not purchase this game is the infernal CLUNK that I hear each time I want to examine an object or area unless it is what the game wants. It’s more than annoying, totally unnecessary and I can see no logical reason for that repeated noise. Sadly, the trial didn’t intrigue me to want to find out more because the story felt choppy and poorly written...Find some good dialogue writers to hold interest in what is taking place or going to take place. I guess all I can suggest is take the trial run to make your own opinion.
The introduction was interesting. Scenery was detailed and characters were well done with attention to attire. Multiple locations with well crafted scenes. For a change this Eipix game held my interest. Hidden Object Games were crafted with attention to detail and interesting. Mini Games were nicely crafted and some different from the run of the mile games. Right off you start out making something with collected items, I am a little tired of potions and collecting materials to create items, but I guess it uses up time. My one complaint is that I detest games that should have a skip instead of hint. If I want to skip a game, I should be able to do so. Other than that, I finished the trial and may consider purchasing this game based on the quality of the major crafting and development.
Graphics are excellent, characters good, voice overs appropriate to characters. Mini games and hidden object games were mostly well crafted. However, a circus theme is so overdone and I found it boring. I don't mind the creepy factor, but this one is slowed down so much by mini games and hidden object game interruptions. AND...oh no! The lost zipper tab! Games were varied some easy, some not and no, no not again..the gear lock game! Hidden object games were abundant but some had hidden objects in dark corners. I was looking forward to a well-developed game from this developer with a forward moving story, but the forward got overlooked somehow and the story was just boring. I didn't finish the trial but I'll recommend it for the graphic qualities and some will enjoy a circus theme, unfortunately circus is my least favorite.
