I could not get this game to hold my attention no matter what. I read the great reviews and thought this must be great. I played for about 2 hours or so and just had to stop. I have never used the hint button so many times in a game. Everything was so oddly done, I had no clue what they wanted me to find. I'm rating this one star but giving it an extra for effort. I cann't recommend at all.

This was a short game compared to the first 2 in this series. The ending was abrupt and I thought I'd see more in the bonus chapter. However, somewhere I was missing a nail and a plank and couldn't finish the bonus chapter. Pretty annoying. Lots of puzzles in this game. A bit too many for my personal liking. The story line was good but could have been developed so much better. I'd say this is my least favorite out of the 3 in this series. HOS were fun. Characters were kind of flat. I'm on the fence with this one. I'm not playing from the beginning to try to see if the bonus chapter works.

Based on completed game.
There are 2 types of games I never play only because I have no interest... fantasy and sci-fi. When I saw this game leaning toward the sci fi, I groaned However, I kept on playing and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I really liked the first installment of this series, thus I bought this one. Some parts did drag on, but for the most part I really enjoyed this. The bonus chapter was short. HOS were intuitive and fun. I can't say much about the puzzles since I am not a fan of puzzles. This one gets a solid 4 from me. Lots of talking and hand holding that could have been done without. Also, they need a proofreader. I realized English is not their first language, but c'mon now LOL. Some of the grammar was hysterical. I recommend this game. Also would be nice if people would fill out their favorite games. It's always nice to have new ideas!!!

I was so happy to see a potential new series released. This is a classic whodunit with lots of twists and turns. Not sure if I've ever played a game by this developer, but with all the games I've played, I must have. Graphics are clear and on spot. The story is fun and believable. Lots to do and interesting characters. I don't recall seeing achievements. There are 2 collectibles in each scene but I didn't see a place where they go either under extras. Bonus chapter was kind of short and disjointed. I'll definitely be playing the next games in the series.
I saw the bad reviews but thought... hey... a Mystery Trackers game cant be that bad. Oh, yes it can. This story is beyond ridiculous. I almost fell asleep playing it. I'm 3/4 of the way done and may just stop. It is awful and I don't say that about many games. Monsters and going back and forth 14 years to other monsters who are really cadets?? Everythiing is so ridiculous it's confusing because it's so disjointed.

I did end up purchasing this game and this review is based on the entire game plus Bonus Chapter. I really liked the remastered edition. They kept the game exactly the same but were able to add some bells and whistles not available back when. I especially wanted the custom mode play so I wasn't waiting until I grew old for the Skip or Hint button to charge. The CE is a must in this game as the SE would end quite abruptly. 2 collector items available per scene. I enjoyed this.

I love the Mystery Tales series. This game, however, has to be the worst of the series. Not a horrendous game. Just not too good. I believe the Joker ruined it for me. The cartoonish look was bothersome. The story was far fetched... more far fetched than usual. I loved the hidden object puzzles except for the ones where you need to use the slider to match pieces. I am just not a fan of those. The bonus game was actually pretty good. Lots of collectibles to find. I bought it but probably won't ever play it again.
I hesitated when I saw this game. Have never been a huge fan of this series, however, never disliked it either. This game wasn't too bad. The story was obscure but kept me interested. I loved the HO games given here. Game play was smooth, ran without glitches or lagging. The bonus chapter was odd and the collectibles were sparse. I would definitely go for the SE on this one. The CE just isn't worthy. Mini games were OK but I am not a mini game fan at all. I liked it.

If you've played the other Northern Tales, this one is basically the same with the exception of hidden objects. I have to say this one is my least favorite of the 5. The graphics were sluggish at points and it just was lacking something. Finding those hidden objects turned into a chore because they were so difficult to locate. I do hope they continue to make this series. However, the first 4 were just better.

I've been on the fence with the games in this series. This review is based on the entire game plus bonus chapter. I liked the first Fatal Evidence game the best. This one was lacking somehow. I literally almost fell asleep a few times. This could have been so much better, but alas, it was not. HOS were weird. Puzzles were ho hum. Storyline was really lacking. It seemed to go on and on and on. Te bonus chapter, (don't get me started), was just awful. I was just about ready to exit and delete the game when the bonus chapter came to an abrupt ending. I couldn't even tell you what it was about. Demo this one for yourself. Some will love it, some will not. Personally, not a big fan at all.
