Ok, so I have not played the old MCF games. I do have a few and I had to stop playing the 13th skull because the misclick penalty was driving me crazy! So how can anyone enjoy the MCF games when most of them are references to their older games? This is the 3rd or 4th one in a row where you really needed to have played the older games. Also, way too many ridiculous puzzles. I'm passing until they can come up with some new material that is worthwhile instead of relying on their older games.

I did not know there was a prequel to this game. I suppose I'm lucky. I found this to be an utter mess. The characters reminded me of Lego people running all over the place. Everything was small... and my vision is great. I really dislike TM games where a piece of material that you can't get to yet is numbered. It should just stay circled in red. I played 6 levels on easy. I play these to relax, not to be timed. Each level lasted about 2 minutes, so this would be a pretty short game. This is a no buy for me. Longing for the days of the great TM games.

I really liked this game. After reading the reviews, I was hesitant to try it, but I'm certainly glad I did. I found nothing boring about it. Loved the HOS and gameplay. Graphics were great. Some puzzles I just didn't grasp, but I'm not a puzzle person. I found it unique in its own way. Really liking Nathaniel and his tattoo power, even though it's not used a lot. Would have rated this 5 stars, but saving that for the one day there is an actual 5 star game. Waiting, and waiting....

I always read the reviews to gain insight into different games. I saw all the low reviews for this game and thought, wow, this must be a dud. I liked it, a lot. Unlike others, I didn't find it boring, drab, slow moving, or monotonous. Typical detective story, new series. The second game is a big improvement over this one but sometimes we need time for the characters to develop. I'm not a fan at all of elephant mini games, so I can't comment on them. HOS were standard or find the pairs. Bonus chapter was good. Not very long. Indeed, the entire game was on the short side, which is typical for this developer. You cannot go back and find any collectibles you missed which is a shame. I wish they'd change that. All in all, I liked it and do recommend it.

Back with the usual characters. SG is in rare form trying to get a potion or stone or some magical article. Many have described the game, so I'll just add my 2 cents about improvements that can be made. First, in this series, I usually do not buy the CE. Shame for this game, because there is no ending without it. After playing all that time, I have no idea how it ended. There is a lot, and I mean A LOT, of to and fro. I used the hint excessively to transport me to the right location. It became ridiculous. The map was pretty useless because if there was something located in that scene, like water to use later, it showed up as a location that needed something done. I keep buying games from this series, just because lol. This one really started out great, then became very obscure and disjointed. Mini games were ok. I'm not a puzzle person so I'm not a good reviewer of mini games. The HOS were varied and cute. I do not think there was an alternate to the HOS. There were 4 modes, one was custom. I love custom mode. If you haven't or are new, give this one a try.

This isn't a bad game. A solid 3.5 rating. HOS, plot, characters, story are all good but nothing earth shattering. You play as a detective who needs to go to a house on an island on a dark stormy night. You have an evidence folder and work along wth a senior detective. Puzzles are unique and HOS are pretty frequent. I personally really liked it and just got around to playing it not too long ago. I'd give this a try in the demo. May be a good match for you :)
I recommend this game!

I love the 2 games in this series. I wish they had put out more. This is a game you will either love or hate. I recommend playing the first one before this one just to get an idea of who the doll is and why he is your little helper (although he only adds a comment here and there). This is an older game, but just as much fun as the first time I played it way back when. If you're new or if you missed this series, give the demo a try. You may like it :)

This developer is not new to some great games, so I'm not sure what went wrong here. First off, there is no way this is a CE. Nothing about it even comes close to CE material. The game itself is a thrown together mess with tiny items to find, many times mislabeled. I play without sound but when I did put the sound on, I was happy I didn't have it on. I'd say take this back to the drawing board if they intend to make this a series. This one is an ultimate flop.
Finally a wonderful HOP game!! I've been digging deeper and deeper in my played gamed vault for games to play. I was so happy to see this one today. I'm only reviewing a short part of the game, since that's all I have played so far. Quite a few collectibles and morphs, which are fun to find. I did not notice too many HOS. The puzzles I encountered were good and fun. Others have described what the game is about, and they do a wonderful job of it, so I'll skip that. I can't wait to keep playing later this evening. This is a definite buy.

Somehow I just got around to playing this game. Definitely one of the better ones in the series. There are lots of descriptions of the game from other reviewers, so I'll keep this brief to what I liked and didn't like. Puzzles were unique and not ridiculously hard. Story was interesting and kept me playing. Hint and skip recharged very quickly. I did not like looking for the tiny keys as collectibles. I honestly couldn't even find some after checking the strategy guide. Then you do have an opportunity to go back to look for them, but there's no hint button. If I couldn't find it the first time, I'm not going to find it the second time LOL. There could have been a few more HOS. They were kind of sparse. The bonus game was really bad. If I had to buy again, I would stick with the SE and call it a day.
