Do you know what I like about this game which makes 5 in the Edge of Reality series for me thus far? It is the fact that I'm almost half-way into this SE version and this amazing, magical bracelet is still intact--still keeps its glow when needed! You know those tears and crystals and runes from other games that explode into tiny pieces until you find another tear or another artifact, or talisman to repair to recharge or regain its power? Not so with this amazing, magical bracelet. Just watch for the glow and you're in business! As I said, I haven't finished the game, so who knows what will happen to the bracelet until the end.
The storyline is wonderful. Yeah, it's got a devilish spirit and or mist once again, evil is lurking and killing people. Accidents are happening and you need to stop this so-called evil monster as it is referred to in the story.
The monster is the result of ancient magic that existed long before this particular city was founded. The bracelet and the artifact are connected to both the magic and the monster, and then the dangerous journey begins. Sarah needs to stop the attacks and with this bracelet, she can predict what will happen. When the bracelet glows, it sees nearby mystical objects. People are dying and people are in the hospital, so Sarah better shake her tail feathers and get a move on!
I love the flow of this game and the graphics are crisp and vibrant. The music is cool, the hint and map buttons are spot on. It can't get any better for me. The minigames are typical for 4Friends Game devs but I'm really, really digging this game. Of course, there is the ridiculous in some of the tasks and objects you will retrieve but we should be used to that by now. The voiceovers are wonderful but thank goodness for the skip button because as good as they are they speak too slow and I'm impatient as it is but I do my best to read the script and move on.
The hidden objects scenes are my favorite. Sometimes they are challenging but these devs are very clever and they make it challenging for us at times. I love their interactive HOPs!
Then you have the cutest dog, Uni, who is a big helper and adorable! Such a playful and good dog. That dog deserves a treat! Several treats!
4Friends Games, you did it again for me! Applaud! Applaud! Applaud! Well, I've got to get back to the game! See ya' later! I highly recommend it!
I recommend this game!

My review is based upon a completed CE version of this game. This is actually my very first vampire theme as I'm not a fan of it but I am a fan of 4Friends Games.
More science involved than teeth but the storyline is great and different. An antidote is needed and the question is 'will the antidote be successful or not? The storyline involves a love triangle, revenge, and survival.
Alex, who's easy on the eye, loves the beautiful Valerie and kidnaps her, but Valerie loves Travis; Travis is out to save Valerie. Alex hates Travis because he wanted Valerie to himself. Then there's Margaret. Ah, Margaret! She's a trip! The question is, will Valerie become a vampire? You have to buy the game and play it to find out. I notice folks tell you to try the demos. I usually don't because the time that is allotted to you is not enough to determine how great the game may or may not be. So I weigh my options by watching the short trailer, reading the negative reviews first and then the positive ones and go from there.
I love these devs, and, to date, this is my 4th game in a row by them. I see there were more tears to find and I believe this is the 3rd time I was to obtain tears in a game by other devs. Fine by me!
Lots and lots of good things to do in this game. Good game flow. My only gripe is I collected 59 of the 60 glass figurines and when I completed the Bonus Game I expected to be able to find the one I missed. No dice! Yet I had that option in the previous game I played by these devs. Oh, well, such is the nature of the beast! I got all the morphing objects, though! Yay!
I loved the graphics and the HOPS especially. The minigames were very good--tedious--some challenging--some not. I play in custom mode. I haven't used the Strategy Guide in ages but it's good to have. The hint button was good for transporting me here n' there. The Map is great. Truthfully, I don't need screensavers and pictures. And if it is offered, I will save their tracks. Not in this case though.
There's a cute lil' bat that you will help now and then and it will help you when the need arises.
The graphics were top shelf, the music good, and the voiceovers were great. One-half points are not offered in these games' ratings so I'm giving this particular game 4.5 stars out 5.
I definitely recommend this game.

I just completed this CE version and bravo to Eipix devs! Bravo! Great and interesting game. Lots of strategic and clever tasks and puzzles-minigames. I'm not a fan of some of the puzzles because some require my patience, which sometimes I lack.
The storyline was intriguing and the artwork quite elegant with the ballerina scenario, and yet grotesque and intricate-looking items and artifacts. Beautiful and beastly scenes, so to speak! Lots of skulls and skeletons, too. The attention to detail was amazing with some unusual and intricate items to find. The graphics are top shelf!
The hidden object scenes were awesome. I found all the morphing objects, and the interactive tasks within these scenes were fun to do. I actually looked forward to those. The puzzles were tedious, some more challenging than others, but thought-provoking. One of my favorite minigames was moving the sliders to reveal the missing notes! Very clever!
I completely forgot about the souvenirs. I believe there are 30 of those to retrieve but you can search for them after you complete the Bonus Game, which I will go back to once I finish this review. I like the option of being able to do that in CE versions. When playing the main and bonus games, I collected 23 of the 39 collectibles. You can also retrieve the ones you missed after you complete the Bonus Game.
The music, the voiceovers, the special effects were wonderful. The movement of the mouths on each of the characters was pretty much in sync and believable. These devs are especially talented in this area. I don't think I've given their games a 5-star in a long time but this game certainly warrants it. The game-flow was spot on, and there is back n' forth going on throughout the scenes but I wasn't bothered by that at all. I highly recommend this game!
I recommend this game!

Friendly Fox (formerly 4Friends Games) is one of my favorite developers but for some reason, I wasn't wowed by this game. It had its wonderful moments and some clever puzzles. I just finished the entire game of this CE version.
When you complete the Bonus Game you can open up a hidden object scene searching for silhouette items. Upon completing the Bonus Game, I saw that I only had 52 of the 58 collectibles (animals) and was able to find the remaining ones and then was able to play the bonus hidden object scene. I did collect all the morphing objects beforehand, which is not my forte actually. Searching for hidden animals and morphing objects was rather tedious but fun to do.
Nice graphics but not the best I've seen from these devs. Some of it was elementary and the movement of objects was odd at times. Many of the hidden objects were small and hard to decipher but I didn't use the hint button once. I guess that was a challenge in and of itself. Good map though; voiceovers were good, but with names like Cesare, Ricardo, Mario, Giovanni, Lucia, and Bella, I expected an Italian accent thrown in now and then. I may have heard one if I'm not mistaken. Maybe I imagined it!
I don't mind the fact that another developer had a game involving tears as well. No big deal to me! I do recommend this game.
I recommend this game!

I pretty much stayed away from the haunted-spirits' genre but I have to say these devs did a great job with this game. I was getting tired of the doom and gloom and dreary scenes with bugs and mice and filth from other developers' games. But all in all, I'm pleasantly surprised by the overall appearance of this game.
I'm halfway through this SE version and wanted to give my review now. I think the tasks, the minigames-puzzles, and interactive HOS are exceptionally clever and intelligently executed. In fact, regardless of the serious storyline, there is nothing grim about the graphics-artwork at all. There are a lot of rooms to tackle and an array of things to do, but I'm not the least bit bored. The graphics are well done and easy on the eye. The music is unobtrusive; the voiceovers are very good.
The hint and map buttons are doable. Yes, there are a lot of keys to find and other goodies but as I mentioned the game flows quite well. At first my inventory was becoming too cluttered, which is a nuisance at times because I'm not a fan of 'inventory clutter' and especially when an item sits there far too long. But in this case, everything seems to be falling into place.
I like how these devs think and I'm keeping my eye out on them! I definitely recommend this game.

Speaking of tracks, soundtracks, that is, there are 5 of them that you can save to your computer if you wish. Great music, short and repetitive throughout the entire game including the Bonus game, which, by the way, I just completed the CE version.
The tracks, which I think need honorable mention are:
Main Theme
After the Rain (I've heard this one in other games before)
Crystal Ball
Tear of Hope
Midnight Curse
Anyway, back to my review, I loved this game; I love 4Friends Games' devs and for its genre, it was a well-structured, well thought out game with loads of fun things to do. I wish it had been longer though, and many of the puzzles and minigames were easy-peasy--not very challenging--but fun and tedious.
I collected 57 of the 58 mice, and they were not easy to find and I had hoped after playing the Bonus Game that I would have been able to go back and find that one that I missed, but this game did not offer that option. You had to find 2 mice in each scene. I did collect all the morphing objects.
The storyline was great and different which leads right into the Bonus Game as well. The voiceovers were wonderful and there was one character named Gerard, who was easy on the eyes, I must say! Very nice, indeed!
The graphics are top shelf!! These devs never disappoint, especially in this area! Beautiful artwork!
This wasn't a perfect game but in my eyes, it was a very delightful one to play and worth my money to buy (on discount, that is!) Bravo, devs! Great job!
There are some reviewers I highly rely on and basically have similar games strategy tastes as I do so, I will check them out, but I always read the negative ones first because they often point out areas that matter to me. However, I definitely recommend this game. But try the demo if you want.
I recommend this game!

Just finished the SE version of this game and it was indeed short but good. Elephant Games' devs really do put out good games--not very challenging but fun things to do in this one. It's not the most exciting game I've ever played. The sad storyline involves the disappearance of your family. But you will get answers and hopefully conquer the evil Black Mimic! Beware of the Black Mimic. Not a pretty villain at all!
The graphics were awesome--the Black Mimic was scary to me and believable. Beautiful, crisp colors--great artwork!
I had some minor, quirky things going on with my computer at the intro given that my computer is not old and all my drivers are updated, but once I got past the intro all was well. I didn't feel it necessary to contact the support team.
At the beginning of the game, you will have the option of whether or not you want your helper Elf to tag along. Of course, I chose the little fella. It wouldn't be the same without him.
The voiceovers were good, map and hint button were pretty cool. For the tasks, there was from time to time no rhyme to its reasoning but I'm not the least bit sorry that I bought this game. I enjoyed many of the tasks and puzzles very much. I do recommend it.

Very impressed with Five-BN Games developers! I had to go through hoops and bounds to complete the tasks and find a plethora of items some of which had no rhyme or reason not to mention all the back n' forth business throughout the Main and Bonus games! But I have to say it was all worth it because of the game flow, finding all the collectibles and morphing objects, which I finally was able to obtain for once in my life. This time I didn't forget them! Yayyy!
The map and hint buttons were wonderful; the minigames and puzzles were tedious--not difficult but required patience and ingenuity at times. I just finished the CE version and this game gives you a lot of bang for the buck!
More importantly, and best of all, the storyline was outstanding. To be honest, I was more intrigued by the story than anything else. I loved all the characters but my favorite was Alice. She rocked! Loved her!
The special effects, artwork, movement of the characters were excellent! As for the music, I got so engrossed that I can't remember if there was music--the sound effects, though, were great! LOL! The voiceovers were wonderful! Mind you, there was a lot of dialogue but again, I was very much intrigued by the storyline and listened to the whole thing. I didn't want to miss any of the facts. BTW, you can skip the script if you wish. I didn't! Loved it! The Bonus Game storyline was just as intriguing.
I definitely recommend this game.

Boolat Games developers, bravo! Great game and lots of interesting things to do. You made me go through pains to solve problems but it's done! I just completed this SE edition and I'm glad I bought it.
No morphing objects to find or collectibles to collect. Fine by me. The puzzles and minigames kept my interest and were tedious but not real hard. Takes patience. Some of the puzzles had a reset button but no explanation as to what to do, but when you've played these games for so long, you pretty much figure it out. There was one task where the mirror breaks and in the script it says, a splinter flew out, but it should have read, 'a shard flew out." Even so, the whole game was intriguing and fun.
The graphics were beautiful and bright and vibrant. The storyline was very good and the map and hint buttons were spot on. I always choose the custom level if it is offered. I thought the voiceovers were wonderful as well as the game flow. I like these developers. They're very clever. Of course, like in any other game, sometimes the tasks seemed irrational, like finding the pieces of a candlestick only to use it as a tool per se.
I definitely recommend this game but try out the demo first and see what you think. Although I feel 90 minutes isn't long enough to determine how great a game actually is, but it does give you an idea of the game flow and mentality of any given developer.
I recommend this game!

Domini Games' developers did it again! Great game! I just finished the CE version and it was wonderful! I love these developers' game strategy and creativity. The hidden object scenes were interactive and very clever and you had the option to play the match-three game as an alternative. The puzzles and minigames were fun, not difficult really but there were a few that were thought-provoking and required patience.
The storyline was great; and, as always, really beautiful graphics; the voiceovers were very good; same with the music.
I loved searching for the statuettes, coins, and pictures in the Main and Bonus games. There was a nice variety of things to do which is what I look forward to in a good game. The game flow was spot on for me. The map and hint buttons were great.
I highly recommend this game. My kind of game but it may or may not be yours; just try the demo to get the feel of it.
