Yes, fun things like that and more! I really liked this game. Not a five-star but very good, nonetheless. Good tranporter map, good hint button if you need it. I played the SE and quite glad I purchased it. HOS are great, wonderful artwork; sometimes there was no rhyme to its reason as far as obtaining objects and knowing what to do with them--process of elimination and/or logic We gamers should be used to that by now; at least I am! Good game-flow, which I like, and there were tricky puzzles for sure. I think the SE was a long enough game, too. I would recommend this game. Now go and find that arrow!

As the saying goes, "To each his (her) own." I've played better and with all do respect to the developers, I've been spoiled by the five-star games. This game just doesn't do it for me. There are positive aspects about it, though. Clever concept, artwork is very good, cartoonish for sure, but nicely done; good music, good scenes, there's a lull between scenes as I venture through them, (my computer is fine), but a lot of thought and effort went into this game. I bought the SE version and am almost finished; so I'm not basing my review on a demo. Lots to do but I can't wait for it to end. However, I suggest you try it and see if it's the game for you.
It should have been a tremendous achievement, but the tunnel through the Ridge of Leviathan became the site of a great disaster. What really happened that day?

Tremendous amount of work went into this game. No doubt about it! Elephant Games is one of my favorite developers. However, the intro was quite long, and there were a few too many cut scenes but very well done, It made for a very interesting, virtual reality type game, in my opinion. The acting was awesome. All the characters were great. The artwork is stunning. No journal but you had lots of VOS, text and notes just about in every scene. HOS interactive and quite tedious. You have your inventory items plus some of your items' list that go hand-in-hand with the HOS. If you don't have all your items in the list, then you need to search by way of the map and find missing items in other locations so that you can complete your HOS. I enjoyed those a lot. You do have tasks to perform and there is a tab that shows the task at hand. Puzzles were basically connect the lines or the usual, not overly crazy about those; not difficult but annoying at times because I wanted to get on with the game. You will collect loads of flowers, that is, if you remember to, and other achievements as well, And there is a good bonus game. The map was my saving grace; hint button and strategy guide available for you if you need it. One thing for sure, I wasn't bored once! Mainly because you're all over the place, and #2, there are so many items to find that you will need to remember which goes with what and where to find them. I love good game-flow, but it's healthy to have a little of crazy and smooth-sailing at times! Stick with it and you'll either love it or hate it. I loved it. I would have given this game a 5-star but at times it lacked direction. I believe the developers love to play head games with us gamers! I love the Surface series and would definitely recommend this game.

I'm sorry to write that this game just didn't do it for me. It doesn't have the flow that I often look for in a game. It has nothing to do with challenge or difficulty--it just lacks the flow. I would never discourage anyone not to try (unless I really, really didn't like the game) because we're each different with different tastes. I've played lots of games thus far, and my last 4 or 5 games have been 5-star ratings. This one only gets a 3, if that. I respect the developers, nonetheless, because they put a lot of thought and work into their projects and commend them just the same. It's not an easy task to accomplish and can be quite time-consuming, so kudos to them; but when I have to force myself to continue playing, it's an indication that I'm not too thrilled with it! Sorry about that, but such is the nature of the beast. Try it anyway, it just might float your boat.

This game has got it all, folks. I don't know but I think finally the developers are taking heed to what we like and this is a winner for sure! I just finished the main collector's game and will be playing the bonus game soon. Since I'm called the professor in this highly, creative game, I rate it an A+ in every category. Delightful, engrossing, fun-filled, visually beautiful, sound effects awesome and realistic, a full variety of HOS with silhouettes, regular/interactive HOS, HOS with poetic riddles; and you have the option of switching to a bubble shoot in place of the HOS if you want. I preferred this game's HOS, very unique indeed! Eventually, you'll have a companion--a cute dog named Bonnie to help retrieve items that you can't reach--she'll bark if you ever need her assistance; there's a great hint button; same for the guide; great storyline; wonderful VOS with text as well. Great game-flow! Read the journal; read anything in sight. It's good for ya' and helpful, too! Find 20 tinker bell fairies; and don't forget the doggie bones too. And this game is not impishly silly either. Very intelligent script, I must add. I played this in expert mode but play it anyway you wish. Loved this game. Now let me get back to the bonus game--Jonathan and I have to find the Sun Diamond. I highly recommend this game.

I finished this collector's edition in hardcore mode and I can tell you it's a great game. Big Fish and some other reviewers have explained the storyline quite well, so I'll get to the point. I don't need wallpaper, concept art, or screensavers. I've got enough on my computer and devices as it is. However, you can also save the music which I really like. That's optional. If you do, be aware that you may have to change the format of the music's audio files upon accessing it. Just be patient, it will work. I saved them in mp3 format. The music was very original and pleasing to the ear. The game play was quite interesting; the developers have put a lot of thought into this game--incorporating science and astronomy in the mix, making for a cool game, for sure. Previously I finished a 5-star game, and I'm also giving this one a 5-star. I really do believe that the developers are catching on to what we want in a 'perfect' game nowadays. The one negative is that in one of the HOS you had to find parts of a leaf and bugs, and I couldn't tell which was the bug or the leaf--I did play this game on my laptop. The scenes, especially the HOS, were panoramic, thereby, in my opinion, made objects appear smaller. However, the artwork was wonderful. The puzzles are tricky and clever and there is a lot to do. So you get a lot for your money. You're not bombarded with cut scenes but when they do occur the VOS/acting is pretty good. Good map and I had no need for the Strategy Guide, although it's good to have, and an okay hint button. When accessing the bonus game, I chose the picture on my right and was able to proceed without any problems. I would recommend this game.

The first one in the series nearly drove me batty with the constant junk pile HOS nearly every other scene. The artwork was beautiful in this sequel; the sound effects a lil spooky in some spots but wonderful; HOS were so much better than the first. The music was quite beautiful. The story is intriguing, so much so I didn't get bored once. Some games I tend to grow tire of and will take a break from them, but I wanted to go non-stop with this game. It was rather long as well. The puzzles were challenging and there quite a few of those. Loads of fun things to do. As much as I loved this game, I have played better. However, I highly recommend this game. Enjoy the journey.

Superb! Superb! Superb! What a delight this game turned out to be. I played the CE version and the bonus chapter was just as intriguing as the main game. Bravo! Excellent artwork/graphics; storyline; VOS and acting; music, sound effects; special effects, HOS, puzzles within the HOS; puzzles within puzzles, you name it! Wow! This is my first Mariaglorum game and you can rest assured it won't be my last! Not only was it challenging but I got so engrossed in the game that I forgot to obtain all the squirrel figures. I was able to find all the statues, and there are many achievements to accomplish within this game. The game-flow was just the way I like it. A multitude of things to do and you will not be bored; I guarantee it! The game is long enough to be sure. Of course the storyline is the norm--good versus evil, but what a delight it is to play a game that is intelligently written. It's a game of logic, common sense, instinct, and quite challenging. However, how I knew where to place certain items from the inventory is beyond me. It just seemed to come together perfectly for a change. By the way, you will be using the "whistle" more than once! Hint! Hint! I highly and enthusiastically recommend this game for beginners, intermediates, and experts! Thank you Big Fish for the great deals you offer your customers and this one is no exception. How does one determine if they are experts? Must he/she play in hardcore mode all the time, and never miss a puzzle; never miss a hidden object? Don't know. Not clear on that, but this game will please all skill levels.

Not too easy nor too hard! Dark Cases:The Blood Ruby (SE) had rhyme and reason to its madness, and the game flow was unbelievable. The artwork was awesome; VOS were great, storyline--great, a different take on the interactive HOS as I've never encountered before. I loved the whole shabang! I played in normal mode and due to the developers' clever take on the puzzles and thought-provoking and challenging tasks, I didn't get bored once! It held my attention from the get-go! I didn't want to stop playing. Now, that's a good game! There is a lot of back n' forth but you've got a great map that takes you right to the spot. You've got a good hint button if you need it, and it will load fast or slow according to the game mode you've chosen. My suggestion to the players is to read the journal, when you click on the items there is often text to read. Read them, you'll get lots of good clues there. Pay attention to the pictures, numbers, and journals. I thoroughly enjoyed concocting the recipes; what comes to mind are a potion for a new heart for the puppet; and on the other end of the spectrum, you'll even make a quick pizza! You will gather quite a bit of items in your inventory and some will remain for a 'fairly' long time. Normally I'm not crazy about that but it all made sense somehow; and, again, game flow is the key! It wasn't the longest game but so much fun to play. I got a special deal on this game from Big Fish and am so glad I bought it. I would have bought it at regular price to be honest; it's that good! As I mentioned before, I don't do demos, but this SE is well worth the buy! I highly recommend it. Kudos to the developers!!

This wasn't the most exciting adventure and it might even be boring for some, but I'm a sap for good, romantic stories and this is one of them--a story about a lost and found love. No VOS, no whistles and bells, but an intelligently written, very well organized, free-flowing game. No map but the hint button served the purpose of getting you where you needed to be. The artwork was beautiful; the HOS were a different kind of HOS, items were tiny at times but retrievable. Very clever tasks and puzzles, not hard but fun to do, different from other games. I really, really liked this game, and even tho it was not equipped with what we're used to for a five-star game, I don't care, I'm giving it a 5-star, just because it was a real pleasure to play, and in advance mode. Bravo, developers! What a change of pace from witchcraft, and murder and mayhem, and psych wards, etc. Loved this game. Yes, it was short but piqued my interest throughout. There was a lot of back n' forth but that's pretty much the norm for games these days anyway. If you want a change of pace, I highly recommend this game!
