I purchased this game on a bogo special - i did like the demo so purchased it.
i was looking forward to a "new" series however there isn't much new about it - use a fork to get rid of nails - use a hat / fan to get rid of smoke .............. as soon as i find the fork i know what i need to do with it ------- it appears in every game and that takes the challenge out of the game.
the game was long - very long - so money's worth but by the end of the game i was done. i am going to forgo the bonus chapter i might play that in a couple of months time.
the storyline was ok - i wish that the got the synch of the voices better.
i did like the bird nest (that was cute).
the achievements stayed on the screen way toooo long.
i am going back to play my old games because there are more challengers, better storylines (in the majority).

i did like the game - it was ok but could have been great - i do have high hopes for the series. Only time will tell.
I am a little surprised with so many negative reviews but i guess reviews are subjective - i usually read the reviews (only reviews from people who have played the whole game - not just the demo because some games improve after the demo).
I am getting a little frustrated by finding items and knowing what to look for to use those item eg. can opener or combs for nails etc etc -
the puzzles were ok but have been used again and again on other games. developers challenge - get new puzzles (explained in full) and let us enjoy something different.
I agree with ollchen - i am playing all my old games - the storylines and adventures and puzzles are so much better.
try the demo before you buy - happy gaming :)

purchased on a 60% special - i had played the demo and thought "possible if desperate" and when the special was on i purchased it. I am the sort of person that if i have a couple in a series i continue to collect the full series - this is the last one for me in this series.
overall the game was just the same as all the others perhaps a little worse - the voiceovers were out of lynch - the storyline was poor.
the hidden objects - could find them without having to look at the list (well 95% of the objects before looking at the list).
the puzzles were the same in other games - nothing new.
I have been so disappointed with the latest "new" games / series that i have started to play my old games - they are so much more fun and adventurous. Perhaps the developers can have a look at some of the old games and get inspiration because these games are boring, same old same old.

i like the series and this game was OK - lots of talk very little puzzles and hidden objects.
pleased that the dog was brought back but he really didn't do much.
the "glasses" were ok - part of the series which was good to see it continued.
one thing that is very annoying with lots of these new games is that the main character doesn't talk - well she did talk (bonus) however i am assuming that the policeman had an eye piece in because never saw on phone in his hand. I know it is only a little thing but i do like consistency and reality as much as possible in these fantasy games.
try before you purchasing - happy gaming :)

i was surprised with the warning because i think it was there only to get gamers in -
I understand that everyone has their own opinions and have likes and dislikes for whatever reasons for games i liked the comments about this being like Maze subject 360 however it didn't see it.
I tried the game twice - "nice" meaning taking all the good options and "mean" meaning taking all the bad options and the game came out the same which i can understand however it stated that depending on your decision the game will have a different outcome - which isn't true.
I didn't understand how they knew each other - they appeared to have some history but that wasn't explained (unless i misssed something in translation).
i did have some gliches in the game but it really didn't take or add anything to the game.
I would only recommend if on a 65% discount or a bogo special.
Try the demo (possibly try it a couple of times)

I enjoyed this game - the puzzles were different lots of puzzles that i haven't come across before - some i had which was ok (not all were hard - which again is ok) - i loved the fish in the tank,
The hidden objects were varied not just lists (which were very few) and items but generally they were more interesting that most games of late.
i found the storyline (and really what can you say about a fantasy storyline) interesting - i could follow it.
the one thing that has annoyed me (and it is the same with so many games these days) is that the main character doesn't talk - why ?????
i do read the reviews and then play the demo - sometimes i just wonder if we are playing the same game ?

i purchased this game in 2021 - trying to find a decent game to play. i had already purchased A stranger in Paris.
I liked this game.
The main character talks - which is a lot more than the latest games.
The puzzles were interesting - the hidden objects where lists and also having to find items mentioned in a sentence.
Overall this was a much better game than some of the latest games coming out.

score 4.5 - i loved that it was a new theme (reporter) instead of detectives and the paranormal .....
what it lost points for was
(a) why doesn't the Reporter talk ? (have noticed that this appears to be happening in lots of games the main character doesn't talk - it is so frustrating because i don't see why not ???)
(b) i understand that it is a "game" but some times you really need to make it "believable" - a safe in a police celll ????
(c) did i miss the reporter phoning the police to tell them were they were ???
I liked the hidden objects not just lists - that was good. I liked the puzzles a couple new ones - that also was good.
(spoiler alert) I so very much enjoyed the bonus chapter better than the main game - perhaps the Developers could have expanded on that - the reporter helping the police together whereas in the main game the police didn't really do much e.g stood around and then when he was arrested left the Reporter in the cell.
Overall it was a fun game and a great start for a new series.

yet another paranormal series (hopefully the first and last).
i purchased this game on 65% special (still have no idea why because i really didn't like the demo but just hoped that it would get better - it didn't).
i have no idea what the story was suppose to be about.
Developers why doesn't the main character speak - i know that he doesn't have many opportunities to speak with people but why can't he speak - he is not mute because we had a sign language book !!! Perhaps if he had a voice it may have been a better (well slight improvement).
The puzzles were same old same old. I did find the hidden objects a little more enjoyable - not just the list type - liked the "move and match".
Try the demo before you purchase - happy gaming :)

as with all the other games in this series i really liked this game.
the puzzles were good - majority easy enough to do and if you have done the other wanderlust you will know the puzzles. The hidden objects were just lists but that was OK.
i don't really care about the storyline as long as there is a start, middle and ending. So covered all my needs.
the game was very long (well it felt like that to me).
