i have all the Lost Land games and this is just awful.
bad:-
can't do profiles - partner and i play togther but separately - unable to do
very short compared to Legendary Tales stories collection edition - this game walkthrough is 6 hrs- other 8 hrs
not very interesting story -
not many hidden objects - which is good but puzzles are stupidly hard
it was agonying to have to remember all the clues - perhaps if the person said "i must remember that" ........... or eles put it in the diary. Though Susan didn't use the diary very much,
similar to LEGENDARY TALES: STORIES COLLECTOR'S EDITION - same developers - think this is the way they make money - there isn't going to be a SE edition.
Bonus games - possibly good except they get a little tedious after a while.
have attempted to play again after playing all 100% however the "extras" such as morphing objects and collectibles are not included which is a basic error as that should be able to replay the whole game as if it was the first time that you played.
developers need to think more about the players experience and not so much about how to make money.
I don't recommend this game.

Nick Chase and the Deadly Diamond
Nick Chase is back in an all-new adventure! After a mysterious package arrives at his favorite bar, Nick has a new case!
a little disappointed that there wasn't a voiceover and that the developers went for the hidden objects standard listing - the "original" Nick Chase gave a feel of being better though i did like doing the comparison and room sections.
liked you could collect "bullets" to give you hints (very nice touch).
overall great game. Got silver badge first run through but got Gold badge 2nd play
try before you buy - happy gaming :)
I recommend this game!

Nick Chase: A Detective Story ™
Solve a variety of puzzles and find hidden clues as Nick Chase, a hard-boiled P.I. down on his luck with a keen eye for detail.
this is a great game - loved the cartoon style. the puzzles were interesting and new to me.
liked that there was a voiceover - although i read the script it was good to hear a voice.
the car track puzzle took me a while to work out but it was fun and worth working it out.
i liked that there wasn't any instructions on the puzzles - you had to work it out. liked you could collect "bullets" to give you hints (very nice touch).
overall great game. Got silver badge first run through but got Gold badge 2nd play
this is a great game - it is different from the hidden objects normally found in these types of games but you still need to find items to make bigger items.
i have played this game many times and still love it.
give it a try before you purchase - happy gaming :)
there are a number of things that this game "missed" = all other games have Laura being the main character not sure why chapter 2 had to have someone else's story - really didn't add any value. Liked the updating of Laura however Bishop didn't seem to age. Not consistent.
hidden objects typical of new york mystery games - puzzles varied from easy to hard - which is ok as i am trying to do all the puzzles.
i don't normally purchase ce versions - just can't see the point of collectables however because i missed one (repeat one) i can't play the bonus game - definitely not going to try and play the whole game again just for the bonus game.
overall i thought the game was a little boring.
i gave it a three as i have all the New York Mysteries and love them but this is a miss ................. would only recommend in se version.
I recommend this game!

Dark Alleys: Penumbra Motel
Rescue a young girl from the Penumbra Motel. Solve puzzles, unravel a long standing mystery of death and disappearances in this heart-pounding adventure game!
i really got into this game - although i am tied of the current hidden object games (you can guess what they are asking you to find without having to look at the list) this one is better because it is unpredicted.
i enjoyed the storyline and the puzzles - only skipped one puzzle because i had no idea what it is asking me to achieve.
try before you buy - happy gaming :)
I recommend this game!

Millennium Secrets: Emerald Curse
Help Kate save her friend and find a mysterious briefcase! Travel across the world in Millennium Secrets: Emerald Curse!
i loved this game - i have been playing hidden object games for 12 years and in the last 12+ months wanted something more - i just find that the latest games (since 2020 onwards) you know what you need to do in either the scene or hidden objects before any prompts and this makes the games boring. So. i have tried to get into "adventure games" and i absolutely loved this one EXCEPT couldn't finish it because of the shape puzzle - lost the objects and couldn't skip - most frustrating.
It is fantastic to see that the developers looked outside the box.
Try before you buy - happy gaming :)
"expert" in hidden objects and "beginner" in Adventure games - by this i mean pure adventure games.
I recommend this game!

Millennium Secrets: Roxanne's Necklace
A terrifying explosion has destroyed a secret bunker and you have been called in to investigate! Capture the culprit before it’s too late!

So. i have tried to get into "adventure games" and i absolutely loved this one EXCEPT couldn't finish it because of the lion puzzle - most frustrating. I checked out the walkthrough and still couldn't get it done - wouldn't allow me to skip.
I played this one before Emerald Curse - which was the first game - should have played them in order to understand what i was doing because at the start i was a little confused.

Mystery Case Files: Shadow Lake
The residents of Bitterford, Maine have fallen prey to a terrible curse. It’s up to you to unravel the series of mysterious events that led to the town’s downfall and uncover the evil that was responsible.
i absolutely loved this game - it is long (too me about 6 hrs to finish and i had to go to the walkthrough a few times).
not sure what but on the ce version it was noted as a "adventure" and on the ce version as a "hidden objects". Doesn't really matter because it is definitely both.
I wish the developers of 2023 can look at this game and take some of what it offers instead of the same old same old.
the best things: - the actors were great - the hidden objects going to more than one spot (very good) - the jigsaw puzzle (not sure what you would call it) after each reading (very good) - taking items with you such as the ladder (lost it once and couldn't remember where i left it so had to travel all over town looking for it (ha ha)) - the hint is good just gives you the bare minimum which is all you need - not a lot of hand holding in this game
i am definitely going to play this game again in the next couple of days i loved it so much.
