i just love the New York Mysteries - she has such style and is so sophisticated.
Everything about this game is great - the visuals, the music and the storyline.
The storyline is fantastically completed and so well thought out - has a great FULL storyline e.g. start, middle and ending.
I am not a puzzle person but am trying to challenge myself to complete them all and i did (go me.....).
The best thing about New York Mysteries is that you don't have a side kick who just stands around - you have characters that actual help - which is great.
The map is a must for me because too much walking around.
As always try before you buy - happy gaming :)

i have a number of Dark Tales Edgar Allan Poe's - however after the last 3 - 4 they have been so bad that i have not purchased.
I did purchase this one - the demo seemed to be ok - after playing the whole game it was just more of the same.
I am not a puzzle person but was able to do the puzzles so i guess they were easy enough. The hidden objects didn't dazzle me.
Probably should be a 2.5.
Lets hope that this is the last game in the series because there is definitely nothing new.

i have a couple of Dark City games and this one was enjoyable.
This game was on the daily special - even though i enjoyed it not sure i would have purchased for full price.
The puzzles were easy (not a puzzle person and i was able to complete them). Loved the twist on the hidden objects and the puzzles were interesting also.
The storyline was good - had a start, middle and ending - that is all i need.
Great music and visuals.
Great way to get through a couple of hours in lockdown.

i loved the first one - The Beginning - however this one was a let down.
Should be more a 2.5 than a 3.
I guess I shouldn't compare the original with this one however ............. the original was so fresh and took so much from all the other games = this one just had the characters and hasn't taken anything from their own games.
For example - in the original it had the puppetshows theatre, workshop and hospital. The original also had a couple of puppets this one had 1 puppet and it was killed off after 30 seconds.
I think if you are taking characters from other games you need to be true to the characters and take some of their games with them (such as the original did).
Overall it was uninspiring and a rehash of the original.
And what happened to the ending - 2 versions of it ???? I would have preferred Dr Blackmore dies if it saves having another chapter.
Think i will give the next chapter a miss - as i said uninspired.

loved this game - will go back and have a look at some others in the series.
the hidden objects are new to me and i had so much fun with them.
How ugly is that CAT - and such as smartie too - but so much fun to have around.
Loved their details such as spilling the soup on the table - as you would.
Definitely had fun with this game.
Try before you buy -happy gaming :)

It is about a 3.5 game - because i can't do that i will opt for 3
the visuals were great - the puzzles (and i am not a puzzle person) were very simple
pleased that it had a proper ending - not sure what the CE offered in the bonus chapter but this one had a satisfactory start, middle and END.

i have all the puppetshow games and this is one of the best - i just love all the puppets.
I purchased this game in 2019 and have played it three times - and it just gets better.
storyline - has a beginning - middle and end. Which is great compared to some of the games today where they only give you the ending on a CE game (which is totally unfair).
the puzzles are interesting (which is great because i am not a puzzle person) and well thought out.

i really enjoyed this game. the puzzles were easy enough - not a puzzle person (which is always great to be able to do them). The hidden objects were find one item to do the next - i don't mind these a change from lists of items.
The storyline was good (had a start, middle and end) and the helper actually helped which was a great change.
She certainly has great charm, walk and clothing (i had a jumper the same (which was a bit of laugh for me)

this game is both fun, frustrating and so rewarding - i just love playing it.
i haven't had to pay for anything (out of my pocket) just keep playing the newspapers (type of match 3) to get money.
It fools you into thinking that it is easy until you can to obstacles such as robber and policeperson but i will find a way through it. :)
Thanks for the tip on how to restart the game - i did this after i didn't really read / understand the rules.
This is better the The Fool because you get rewarded to doing a task (even the newspapers).
Try it - have some fun :) happy gaming

i really enjoyed this game - i have taken 1 point off because i didn't get a puppet helper as in all the other puppetshow games - i guess the prof. assistance was the stand in.
the storyline was good - had a start - middle and end although the end was a little abrupt - i can only guess that the CE had another chapter but i don't buy CE because can't be bothered with all extras that you need to find.
the puzzles and the hidden objects were excellent.
the visuals and sound was excellent.
