It's unfortunate that this developer chose to make a comeback after a long hiatus with such a simplistic Hidden Object Game that has a boring story and annoying repetitive music. The game has so many flaws that it's impossible to complete. This developer created amazing HOPA series' like Awakening, Botanica, Emberwing, and one of my personal favorites, Otherworld, so they certainly have the capability!
There were items listed such as "cart-wheel" but that didn't actually mean the wheel that was attached to the cart, nope, it was referring to a wagon wheel...okay I can deal with that. The game was extremely finicky about where you clicked on an object, if you weren't clicking the dead center of the object it wouldn't recognize the click, and I thought I could deal with that as well until I got to the first mini-game which was a Tile Swap puzzle which wouldn't allow me to swap most of the pieces because it simply didn't recognize that I was clicking on a tile section. I could click on one piece and it would highlight right away, then I'd click on a second one to swap it with and it would literally take 10-15 clicks before it would swap the pieces. By the time I got to the last piece, no matter how many times I clicked it, it just wouldn't swap. Obviously, it was the correct piece if it's the only one left (I even used the hint button) and several minutes later I was forced to use the skip button to move forward in the game.
Now I'm on the third Hidden Object Scene that takes place in a German pub. One of the objects is a Moebius Strip which I have no clue as to what that may be so I save that for last, and I am tasked with finding 3 "All-Seeing Eyes" the final one was impossible to click on, well actually I clicked on it so many times that the screen turned into an icy frost to punish me for my multi-clicking frenzy ways. Again, I used the hint to be sure that this was indeed the Droid I was searching for, but no matter where I clicked, how hard I clicked, how soft I clicked, whether I left-clicked, right-clicked, or tried to sneak attack click, it wouldn't pick up this "all-seeing eye" that apparently sees absolutely nothing! I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and the all-seeing eye is still staring at me, daring me to make another fruitless attempt.
This is the end of the line folks, I can't finish this HO scene, I can't skip this HO scene, therefore I can't progress. As I've already stated, I had issues with the game mechanics being quite finicky, the music is rather annoying, the story is rather boring with a ton of dialog boxes and no voiceovers, the graphics aren't great. Even if I could complete the game, I'm not sure I'd have given it much more than a 3-Star rating if that. There are only 16 Main Levels and 5 CE Levels and each location has 2 mini-games. Even if the game works flawlessly for you, I'm not sure that 5 extra scenes are worth the CE price?
I don't recommend this game.

(including completion of all mini-games & CE Bonus Chapter)
25 Main Game Scene Locations +10 Bonus Chapter
Difficulty Range: Beginner-Intermediate (possibly?)
Most people are afraid of monsters under their bed, a few people have skeletons in their closets, but Pierre Sullivan seems to have a whole boatload of monsters, real monsters living under his mansion. That's not the bad news, the bad news is that he decided to finally let them out...Happy Halloween!
Gadgets/Helper:
There are no Gadgets or Helpers. Do the creepy twins count?
Collectibles & Morphing Objects (CE Version Only):
There are 15 Morphing Voodoo Dolls and 15 Potion Ingredients that are quite small. There are 83 Zoom Zone Rings, aka coins that can be used to purchase 15 Coffin decorations which actually involve clothing a skeleton. At first, there are only a few accessories available to purchase but as you purchase those, the next layers become available. There is an optional Collection Icon Tab that can be enabled or disabled in the settings menu as well.
Hidden Object Scenes:
There are 9 Hidden Object Scenes +5 in the CE Bonus Chapter and an alternate Match 3 Game available, which btw, doesn't allow you to make consecutive matches quickly. (you have to wait for all tiles to stop falling before you can make the next match which makes the game seem sooo slooowww) Although they are Halloween-themed, they have very obvious objects that can be easily spotted without even looking at the list! There are Interactive Listed Item Finds, Replacing items into the Scene on several Portraits, Silhouetted Shapes, Multiples of Item Finds, Items Related, or Keywords in Sentence Finds.
Mini-Games:
There are 12 Mini-Games +8 in the CE Bonus Chapter. You can choose to play them in an Easy or Hard difficulty mode and you can choose which mode to have them start out in the Custom Setting (you can still switch between modes for each individual game) Below are a few of my personal favorites:
1-Place light spheres so they cover all bat tiles x3.
2-Play the piano according to arrow keys.
3-Place tokens correctly so the sum equals 94.
4-Fill a grid with symbols so that none are identical
5-Place figurines so their hands align.
Bonus Chapter (CE Version Only)
A vampire's life can be difficult, especially one who has sworn off blood! Mara seeks the help of Pierre Sullivan to transform her back into human form so she will no longer crave blood, yum! This is a typical stretched out Bonus Chapter with a lot of cliche tasks and a ton of back and forth unnecessary repetitiveness spanning over 10 scene locations. There are 8 additional Mini-Games and 5 Hidden Object Scenes and you will continue your search for the final 5 Morphing Voodoo Dolls, 4 Potion Ingredients, and 9 Zoom Zone Rings (of varying amounts) which allows you to purchase the final Coffin Decorations.
Collector's Edition Extra's: (CE version only)
15 Wallpapers, 15 Concept Art Pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, 26 Movie Video Cutscenes, 38 Achievements, 18 Replayable Mini-Games, 18 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 14 Morphing Voodoo Dolls,15 Potion Ingredients, a gazillion Missing Notes, 83 Zoom-Zone Rings, 15 Coffin Decorations (purchase with rings) 4 Main Chapters, +Bonus Chapter, and a Built-In Strategy Guide.

Difficulty Range: Beginner-Intermediate
We've always been taught that lies have consequences, but did we believe them, really? When we were children, our parents told us to always speak the truth. As we grew older, we continued believing that it's important that others believe us, "mean what you say, and say what you mean" because our reputation is now at stake! Eventually, we have children of our own, and the pattern continues, after all, we have to know the truth! But what happens when we don't tell the truth? It's just a little white lie, I had to lie, it's for the greater good, no harm, no foul, they had it coming, who will ever know? What if those lies really did have consequences? What if someone was actually keeping tabs?

Helper/Gadget:
There are no Helpers, There are Gadgets sort of...although the Big E has chosen to do away with the constant Rick Rogers Tattoo scenario, as you progress, you are given Coins by The God of Truth that is used to help various characters escape their "lies" or "truths" The coin represents every human's life, the more lies a person tells, the heavier the coin becomes.
Morphing Objects/Collectibles: (CE version only)
There are 25 Morphing Objects that morph at a decent speed and for a change aren't the size of baby elephants!! There are 25 Collectible Eyes and when you complete the collection they allow you to assemble a 25 piece Jigsaw Puzzle. There are also 12 Collectible Character Statues although the Strategy Guide shows an extra one?
Hidden Object Scenes:
There are only 20 Hidden Object Scenes +5 in the CE Bonus Chapter, +4 smaller zoom zone HO's that usually precede the main HO scenes. What I am noticing from this developer in the last few games is a marked improvement in the Hidden Object Scenes! The objects are smaller, they are clearly making an attempt to blend the objects into the scenery and choosing objects that will blend into the scene rather than stick out like a sore thumb...when developers try to improve...I always notice! There are Interactive List Finds, Silhouetted Shape Finds, Matching Pairs, Matching Related Objects, Keywords in Sentence Finds, Find & Replace, and one in particular that I enjoyed was having to match two halves of a Silhouetted Shape but you had to wait for clouds to disperse before finding the second half or a related half that matched. There are no alternate games available.
Mini-Games:
There are 15 Mini-Games +4 in the CE Bonus Chapter. I usually like Elephant Games because most of them are mechanical type puzzles where you tinker with fuses, electrical panels, or gauges and they always seem doable and never frustrating, but they didn't seem to have a lot of mechanical type puzzles this go-round? Here are a few of my personal favorites:
1-Restore the stage decorations by choosing layers in the correct order.
2-Rearrange feathers so both sides are identical.
3-Line each circle's notch along the red line and choose the speed for each circle to rotate.
Bonus Chapter (Collector's Edition version only)
Everyone knows you don't roll the dice on a game of Jumanji but that's exactly what this group of enlightened BFFs did! Daemon chose to play as The King, Mia chose The Sage, Rachael choose The Wanderer, and Rick is playing as whichever player you chose, and of course, he rolls the dice first in this game that forces the player to Face their Fears, whatever that fear may be...didn't they technically already do that? This is a decent story with a slightly above average-length spanning over 8 Scene Locations with 4 Mini-Games and 5 Hidden Object Scenes. You will search for the remaining 8 Eye/Puzzle Pieces, 8 Morphing Objects, and 3 Character Puppets.
Collector's Edition Extra's
8 Wallpapers, 1 Screensaver, 5 Music Soundtracks, 12 Achievements, 12 Replayable Mini-Games, 15 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 25 Morphing Objects, 25 Collectible Eyes (to assemble a 25 piece Jigsaw Puzzle in the Secret Room)12 Character Puppets, 4 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter, and a Built-In Strategy Guide.

There was a time when I wouldn't have dreamed of giving a Rainbow Mosaic game less than a 5-Star rating much less being on the fence with my decision of whether or not I needed to purchase a new game. They always had better features than the "penguin-themed" games, the colors were more vibrant, they had more tile selection options, and they always had a cute little story attached to them, but the last 7 games have been, "Helper does this, Helper does that". When they released Detective Agency Mosaics, that game had an amazing storyline and had 16 Five star reviews with an incredible average rating of 5-stars so I think that proves that people ARE looking for a better plot, at least something that doesn't have a Helper theme. It just seems incredibly lazy on the developers part, it's boring and very unimaginative!
The last few games have added Hidden Object Scenes, which would be okay if they were somewhat challenging, but the Listed Objects still aren't hidden, they are just laying out in the open. You can skip the HO scene, but you will earn a star for completing the scene, 2 stars for completing the scene using less than 2 hints, and 3 stars for completing the scene using one hint or less.
Fortunately, they have continued with the Tetris-style Mini-game that allows you to solve a puzzle to fill in a Mystery Number on each of the Mosaic Puzzles. You will come across a (?) Question Mark on each puzzle that hides one of the Numbers in a column or row. When you click on the (?) it activates a puzzle that requires you to drag all of the Tetris-style shapes into a grid without overlapping pieces. (btw: the puzzle shapes look really cool in the Lego-style tile selection) You can Skip the mini-game, and eventually, you will be able to figure out the hidden number by a process of elimination without having to click on the question mark, but I love this puzzle feature!
There are 130 Mosaic Levels with 18 Tile Styles ranging from beveled edges to Hawaiian flowers, but my favorite has always been the Lego-style tile. They have also added 2 Crossed-off tile options, one of which has a beveled or rounded edge, the other is the standard square edge. You can play in a Normal Mode which crosses off numbers one by one, or an Expert Mode which only crosses off the numbers when the entire row or column has been completed.
As you correctly fill in squares, you will earn coins that can be used to purchase Decorations or purchase upgrades for the Power-ups which are hint forms that will increase in the size of coverage with each upgrade. The Dog power-up opens a random right square, the Lightning power-up opens up a chosen square with no negative outcome, and the Lamp power-up opens a chosen grid area without a negative outcome. Each power-up can be upgraded twice to cover a larger area on the grid.

♠ Holy Moly Mad Hatter, has someone spiked the cookie dough batter?
♠ One Queen wants a Halloween that never ends, Autumn's the clear choice, and she's not willing to bend.
♠ The other Queen argues Winter has Christmas and fresh falling snow, which brings that jolly good fellow who shouts "ho, ho ho"!
♠ Now Wonderland has called upon Alice to solve this dilemma, I'm thinking they probably should have called on Cinderella!
This has got to be one of the most creative and imaginative Time Management games I've played in a long time! What a delightful, whimsical game with bright colors, fun characters, and a hilarious story. I loved the CE morphing Art Palettes because they were really challenging due to the fact that they morphed so slowly, but this Standard Edition version still has a Teacup puzzle piece on each level which allows you to assemble a Jigsaw Puzzle of the Mad Tea Party. TIP: look for the Teacup (and on the CE version the Palette as well) before clicking to start the game, you can click on them without starting the timer! You can also return to the levels to pick up the collectibles and then exit the level after without disrupting the original score. In the CE version, the SG also shows the location of the Teacups with a purple arrow on the last page of the SG (click the dots at the bottom of the SG page to scroll thru pages)
In the last version, I found a little trick that helped me immensely, there are so many alters and features that I decided to jot down bullet points of what each feature gives me and what resources they require because I was able to look at my notes to better strategize. (for example Tree-Candy+Bark) (Chest-Bark+Gold) (Bush-imagination+candy) (Book of Art-Gold+Imagination) So the chest required bark to obtain gold, and the Bush required imagination to obtain candy, etc. and by making a list with a minus and plus sign (- and +) I could easily glance at my notes and know what I'd need to go after, and on which paths first.
Although the concept is the same, the features are clever. Alice must collect "Imagination" and the Tweedle workers need to collect Candy as their food source. You will build Candy Factories for food supplies, repair cracks along the paths, removing stone and boulders, clear mysterious puddles, and gather renewable resources from various Altars.
There are a lot of strategies involved and if you don't do things in the right order, you can and will get stuck and have no choice but to start over! (the bullet point list really helps :)
There are plenty of pumpkins, and candy canes but even cooler, there are all kinds of weird holiday mashup tasks such as Snowmen that need to be turned into Scarecrows, Leprechaun Houses that brew potions, Jokers with pumpkin heads...all kinds of weird, whimsical, and cute things to do.
The Bonuses are Magic Spells that last for about 20 seconds each, and each level usually has 3-4 different Spells available:
♠-Collect +1 Resources
♠-Run Faster Speed Boost
♠-Bargain Trade x2 (resources traded at a better rate of 3-4)
♠-Get Candy Pile +4 (generated on altars)
♠-Get Gold +4 (generated on altars)
♠-Get Bark +4 (generated on altars)
♠-Restore Altars
♠-Speed Up Workers
♠-Freeze Time
♠-Speed Up Production
♠-Endless Candy (obstacles are temporarily disabled-max 3 objects)
♠-Endless Gold (obstacles are temporarily disabled-max 3 objects)
The Collector's Edition version has +20 Collector's Edition version Bonus Levels that can be played in a Relaxed, Normal, or Challenge difficulty mode, (both levels have 40 Main levels) Trophy Achievements to earn in both versions, Hidden Object Mini-Games, and a Teacup that allows you to assemble a downloadable Jigsaw Puzzle in both versions. The CE version also has a Morphing Art Palette that allows you to "paint" 3 Concept Art pictures, 2 extra mini-games, downloadable artwork, bonus quests, and 4 additional achievements.

I'd love to be able to have a conversation with the scriptwriters of New Yankee who, in my opinion, have an incredible sarcastic sense of humor! There are very few Time Management games nowadays that have a story that is interesting enough to read, but 9 games running New Yankee still has me rolling on the floor...and 9 games later the graphics are still improving by leaps and bounds above the competition, (some aren't even in the same league) and 9 games later this developer is still able to come up with exciting tasks, interesting spells, and level layouts that are unusual, bright and extremely colorful. The entertainment factor is through the roof on this game, this is 100% quality!
You can play in a Relaxed, Normal, or Expert Difficulty Mode, and there are 42 Achievement Trophies to earn. There are 60 Levels (45 Main Levels, 15 CE Levels, and 10 Bonus Levels) but only 32 Hidden Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces to search for. As you progress, you are given the option to choose between Bonuses that will help you with the tougher levels by allowing Mary to Walk and Cast Spells Faster, John to Walk and Fight Faster or help Max the dog to Run Faster, or at least as fast as his poor little short bulldog legs can move.
Like most TM games, you must gather resources and clear paths, such as, gathering food baskets and farming veggie gardens, gathering wood logs, clearing tree stumps (which also have other resources) cutting down trees, gathering gold bags, clearing boulders, patching holes, cutting down toothy plants and weeds, repairing bridges, and constructing or repairing sawmills, or mills to produce more food, workers houses, etc.
The workers do almost everything, John is the Knight in Shining Armor and does the fighting, Mary is skilled in Witchcraft and takes care of Casting all the Spells which instantly regrow trees that have been cut down, or construct Altars that magically speed up the process by restocking food sources and even conjure up Bridges, but she needs a constant supply of Mana that needs to be collected by the workers from the Mana Wells or from an occasional bottle abandoned along the paths, to work her magic.
John and Mary have their hands full as they battle Toothy plants in a Little Shop of Horrors scenario. There's a ton of things to do, gather mirror shards, take a trip on the Flying Dutchman and gather feathers, collect Puzzle Pieces, Gremlins to help you make items in workshops, and lots of spells to cast.
This Collector's Edition version has 45 Main Levels, 15 CE Levels, 10 Bonus Levels, 10 Music Soundtracks, 34 Cinematics, 4 Wallpapers, 6 Character Bios, a Jigsaw Puzzle (with 32 Collectible Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces), an Upgrade Room (with an available Screenshot), and a Built-in Strategy Guide

Completed Game approximately 4 hours
(including completion of all mini-games & CE Bonus Chapter)
18 Main Game Scene Locations +8 Bonus Chapter
Difficulty Range: Beginner-Intermediate
Everyone knows you can't escape your destiny, no matter how hard you try, or how far you run. The Grim Reaper is coming, he is coming for you. There wasn't supposed to be any survivors, you only thought you were the lucky one...but they were the lucky ones because you, my friend, are being hunted down like a wild animal by Death himself...good luck with your destiny!
I really enjoyed this story (and the CE bonus chapter wasn't bad either!) The puzzles were rather easy, but I thought they were fun, and the HO scenes have vastly improved lately! The graphics are amazing as usual, and the developer seems to have gotten the hint about our bitterness towards the never-ending emblem-placing scenario (thank you!!) but mostly, I just enjoyed finally having a creepy-themed game rather than a fantasy-themed game even though I'd prefer a REAL horror game and a REAL hard-core or at least a game geared towards seasoned players!
Helper/Gadget:
There are NO gadgets or Helpers in Halloween Stories: Defying Death.
Morphing Objects/Collectibles: (CE version only)
There are 11 Halloween Collectibles that are actually kind of cool, but with every Elephant game, the CE bling seems to be dwindling??? There are 26 Morphing Objects that morph at a decent speed and for a change aren't the size of baby elephants!! One Zoom Zone in each scene has a Jigsaw Puzzle Fragment (18 total) that automatically assembles a Grim Reaper picture, it's actually supposed to represent replacing the glass onto the frame.
Hidden Object Scenes:
There are only 8 Hidden Object Scenes +5 in the CE Bonus Chapter, several of which are smaller zoom zone HO's that usually precede the main HO scenes. What I am noticing from this developer in the last 3-4 game, is a marked improvement in the Hidden Object Scenes! The objects are smaller, they are clearly making an attempt to blend the objects into the scenery and choosing objects that will blend into the scene rather than stick out like a sore thumb...when developers try to improve...I always notice! There are Interactive List Finds, Silhouetted Shape Finds, Matching Pairs, Related Objects, Associated Objects, Keywords in Sentence Finds, Swatch Finds, and Multiples of the same Items. There are no alternate games available.
Mini-Games:
There are 13 Mini-Games +6 in the CE Bonus Chapter. They did a good job with variety and putting twists on standard games and making them Halloween-themed. The puzzles were easy to complete, but for the most part, they were fun puzzles rather than an insult to my intelligence if that makes sense? I usually like Elephant Games because most of them are mechanical type puzzles where you tinker with fuses, electrical panels, or gauges and they always seem doable and never frustrating.
Bonus Chapter (Collector's Edition version only)
Gertrude, the Patron of Souls, will grant the Grim Reapers wish to become human on one condition...well, actually three conditions! He must pass three trials by rescuing three entities in dire need...kind of like a Halloween-Scrooge hybrid.
This is a decent story and of average-length spanning over 8 Scene Locations with 6 Mini-Games and 5 Hidden Object Scenes. You will search for the remaining 2 Halloween Collectibles, 8 Morphing Objects, and 7 Puzzle Fragments which allows you to complete the Grim Reaper picture (it's more like placing the glass on the frame)
Collector's Edition Extra's
5 Wallpapers, 1 Jigsaw Fragment Picture, 4 Music Soundtracks, 22 Halloween Mask Achievements, (2 of the masks don't show up on the rack, you can scan the cursor to read the achievement, but once you earn the achievements "Heartbreaking Margin" and "Distressing Power" those two masks vanish!) 13 Replayable Mini-Games, 13 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes (within the Archives Room) 26 Morphing Objects, 18 Zoom Zone Jigsaw Puzzle Fragments (automatically fills in the Grim Reaper Picture, 11 Collectible Halloween Decorations, 3 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter, and a Built-In Strategy Guide.

Uncle Gabriel was a powerful and wise magician, a Master of Arcadian Riddles who believed that Magic was too dangerous in a world torn from a war between the two Empires. Although his death was unexpected he managed to seal all Magic into three Pearls, protected by sophisticated riddles. He hid those pearls between the Arcadian empires that would only allow one person to find and solve its riddles, his only grandson. Now you must decide who your allies are and more importantly, who your enemies are, and whether Arcadia is ready for Magic once again?

Some of you may know how much I love dragons so I was super excited when a Dragon Chariot arrived to pick me and the Emperor up and whisk us to the next location, aka Chapter two. My excitement soon waned when I realized that this adorable dragon would become MIA and only make one other brief appearance, technically 1.5 appearances but I roofied him so let's just call it one? This is the same scene where two guards required a sleeping bomb to knock them out so I could do my shenanigans BEHIND their backs but they didn't seem to care nor budge as I fixed a ladder leading to the rooftop they were supposedly standing guard over. They still remained motionless as I proceeded to climb the ladder, several times, not once did they try to stop me or even ask what my business was, yet I needed to put them to sleep to do something behind them where they couldn't see me?
A few scenes later I'm tasked with "finding a heavy object to break a window" the exact black bar suggestion, yet the heavy brick in my inventory didn't seem to have the capabilities to break glass? Guess what I had to do...I had to find ingredients to bake pottery! Turns out, in Arcadia, fresh-made pottery is stronger than a brick...technically a brick is made of hardened clay too, isn't it?
My title basically asks the question of how many times can one game repeat the same tasks. This is becoming a real problem for this developer, they are losing fans because they can't think outside the box anymore, or they aren't bothering to do so. I'm not going to tell you what the task was, I'm just going to give you keywords because I'm betting that 99% of you will know instantly what the task was just by reading these simple keyword/task words (and you'll probably laugh too)
-Scoop, Bowl, Sieve
-Whetstone
-Cane, Oar, Fishing Rod, Poles, Boat Hooks
-Brush, Scraper, Sponge, Shells
-Hairpin, Barette, Pin, Lockpicks, Keys, Mirror
-Chisel, Pick, File
-Fork, Bottle Opener, Crowbar,
-Oil, Vinegar, Acid, Resin
-Broom, Peacock Feathers & Ribbon, Hankerchief, Bellows
-Something Sharp, Seashell, Shears, Knife
-Cork, Knobs, Corkscrew
-Coin, Something Thin, Something Flat
-Cup, Bowl, Bottle, Vial, Spigot, Valve(s)
-Cheese, Bells, Noisemakers
-Gloves, Gauntlet, Cloth, more Gloves
-Thread, Needle
-Magnet, Tweezers, Tongs
-Fans, Hats
-Statue-Gnome Parts Knight Armor, Figurines, Emblems
One last observation...does anyone in any reality ever think to check a prisoner for contraband before leaving them unattended? Why is it that every person in every game who has been handcuffed or locked in a jail cell, even when that person is the player, always has a pocket full of inventory items which almost always includes a sharp object?
Gadgets/Helper:
There are no Gadgets or Helpers, although there is a pixie/fairy that gets smooshed in your diary task book and isn't heard from or spoken of again, one can only imagine her outcome?
Collectibles & Morphing Objects (CE Version Only):
There are 15 Morphing Enchanted Items and 15 Potion Vials. I'd like to add that the Strategy Guide does not show any of the locations for the Enchanted Items in the Bonus Chapter, the scenes simply don't exist yet the object do! Someone got the bright idea to split up the collectibles on the SG into 3 categories and I think they just neglected to put in the Bonus Chapter scenes for the Enchanted Item Collectibles (at least in my version?) The Potion locations were there for the BC as were the Seashells! There are 70 Zoom Zone Seashells that can be used to purchase 15 Chest Items. You can choose to have a collectibles Icon indicator that tells you when there is a Collectible available in the scene (as well as on the Map) in the Custom Setting option as well.
Hidden Object Scenes:
There are 13 Hidden Object Scenes +5 in the CE Bonus Chapter and an alternate Match 3 Game available, which btw, doesn't allow you to make consecutive matches quickly. (you have to wait for all tiles to stop falling before you can make the next match) There were Listed Item Finds, Combo Silhouetted Shape Finds, Progressive Interactive Silhouetted Shape Finds, Swatches Finds, Silhouetted Shape Finds, Placing Swatches on 3 different scenes, Multiples of the Same Item Finds, Finding 12 Damaged Jewelry & Gems, and one where you had to place fruit into baskets according to a Riddled Clue. The HO's were blurry, the objects to find were obvious and with the exception of the Progressive-Interactive Silhouetted Shape Find HO, they were exhaustingly boring!
Mini-Games:
There are 13 Mini-Games +7 in the CE Bonus Chapter. You can choose to play them in an Easy or Hard difficulty mode and you can choose which mode to have them start out in the Custom Setting (you can still switch between modes for each individual game) Below are a few of my personal favorites:
1- Move gems to their final positions along tracks that aren't blocked by crystals.
2-Restore ladder without any gaps.
3-Arrange crates to correspond to the referenced drawing then choose the right numbers on the board to make the two structures identical.
4-Use arrows to transfer the water between tanks to the yellow marks.
5-Arrange the spheres as shown in the hint using arrow buttons to move or turn bars with spheres.
Bonus Chapter (CE Version Only)
Gabriel has just arrived at the Royal Castle after being appointed to the Royal Court Counsel. I'm going to be honest, I bailed after a few scenes when I realized I was tasked with the same ridiculous and repetitive scenarios. When I checked the SG it was clear Domini could care less about using their imagination because the same words were appearing over and over: cork, chisel, oil, fork, hammer, fan...really? I remember when fans would have never given a Domini game a 2 or 3-star rating, now they are struggling to get anything but, we're not bumbling idiots incapable of anything more complicated than pulling nails with a fork or picking locks with a hairpin! This is an average-length chapter spanning over 8 scene locations with 7 additional Mini-Games and 5 Hidden Object Scenes. You will continue your search for the final 4 Morphing Enchanted Items, 2 Potion Vials, and 8 Zoom Zone Seashells (of varying amounts) which allows you to purchase the Chest Items.
Collector's Edition Extra's: (CE version only)
16 Wallpapers, 10 Concept Art Pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, 21 Movie Video Cutscenes, 40 Achievements, 18 Replayable Mini-Games, 18 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 15 Morphing Enchanted Items,15 Potion Vials, a gazillion Missing Notes, 70 Seashell Coins, 15 Chest Items (purchase with Seashells) 6 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter, and a Built-In Strategy Guide.

Loki's son Fenrir, is a wolf that recognizes no authority. He devours men and gods alike. Thor fears that his nephew will become more powerful than all the gods combined, an unstoppable force that will devour all mankind. The gods have banished Fenrir to the Island of Lyngvi and ordered that he be chained at all times, but no chain has been able to hold the powerful wolf. Thor knows there is only one solution to this problem, the chain must be forged by the Dwarves themselves...so our story begins in a tiny & TALL house owned by two blacksmiths tasked with an impossible job, forging an unbreakable chain to hold the son of Loki, the god of mischief, the trickster god who doesn't seem to be all on board with this cruel and unusual punishment they have bestowed upon his firstborn son.
What an amazing little point and click adventure! These developers have quite a sarcastic sense of humor! If you aren't familiar with the in's and out's of a Point & Click Adventure it might seem overwhelming if you are used to a hand-holding HOPA but if you give yourself a few minutes to adjust to the game mechanics, I think you'll find that this is a very easy game to learn on.
Point the cursor and the character will move to that area, scan the mouse over the area, when the cursor turns red, that item can be picked up or interacted with. If you click the Space Bar, all areas of interest will be highlighted. Your Inventory goes into your Backpack, when you click on the backpack all the items will appear in boxes. Some items can be combined by dragging one item to another (drag one box to another) If you don't know what to do, you can go to Tall and ask him, he will eventually tell you the answer, but you will get minor hints at first in the form of multiple-choice questions to ask (and get answers) until you eventually get a direct answer.
This is an adventure, there are no hidden object scenes! You will be tasked with quests and those quests must be solved by searching rooms, overcoming obstacles, and figuring out normal solutions to ordinary problems. Yes, you will probably have to think about a few things, but as I said earlier, this is an easy game, the solutions are fairly simple solutions. If you can't figure out a solution to open something, for example, you probably missed an inventory item, so just go back to the rooms and hit the space bar to see if you missed something. If all else fails, you can look up a walkthrough online!
It's a nice change of pace and certainly more fun than 95% of today's HOPA's! Thank you BF, please offer move adventure games, I don't care how old they are!
I recommend this game!

I have played the previous three games in this series (yes, this is the fourth game) and I did like the stories better in those games because for some reason the developer chose to give the characters a winey voice and the acting was dreadful. Just skip the dialog because what you are left with when you peel back the layers is a beautifully illustrated game with some of the most original puzzles and hidden object scenes I've seen!

Legacy is a continuing fantasy adventure game with talking animals, magical trees, enchanted forests, and evil witches. In this adventure, the two worlds are parallel, everyone has a twin in both universes and the evil witch has cursed everyone by changing them into animals. In order to stop the witch in the real world, you'll need to stop her on Witch Island, and of course, you will help and be helped by several animals along the way.
The Hidden Object Scenes are far and few between which is a shame because I really enjoyed them...can you believe I just said that? I have been begging for developers to add a SKIP button to HO scenes for years, this game finally offers this feature, and wouldn't you know it, I loved the HO scenes! Most are Interactive Listed Item Finds but they do vary slightly, one of which requires you to find 12 items that are different on a picture and if you select the wrong item, you have to start all over again because all of the objects return. The objects are very cleverly blended, the way they used to be in older games so some of the objects are hard to find.
I absolutely LOVED the Mini-Games! They aren't mind-boggling, they are just fun puzzles to solve and most of them were variations I hadn't played before, think about it, after all these years and thousands of games, I'm stating that I haven't seen most of these games offered before, that they are original! The HINT system is one of the best I've ever seen! I've always said they need to add a section to strategy guides that show a visual guide as to what needs to be done because some people learn by reading instructions, others need to visualize what they are supposed to do, here you get both! The instructions are very clear, but if you are still confused as to what you are supposed to do, you can click the Hint button for further visual instructions, how cool is that!? These are the kind of puzzles that are fun but make you think, they are NOT brain-burners, and all mini-games can be skipped as well, it just depends on which mode of difficulty you chose to play in, but the skip button seems to become available fairly quickly. Here are a few of the games I thought were creative and fun:
1-Drag strips to create a gradient-colored design. დ
2-Turn an elaborate pipeline system to water all flowers. (all buds must be open and all pipes must be used) დდდდ
3-Swing levers to untangle wires. (the levers stop at random spots) დდ
4-Stop the arrow inside the ring when the arrow is within it's matching colored section. The arrow switches colors rapidly and you must finish 3 sets w/o a mistake or you'll have to restart. Each set the hand moves faster and the colored sections are smaller. დდდ
5-Shoot balls at the squares on the top of the board (marble shooter) each square has numbers indicating how many hits are required to remove it before it reaches the bottom. დდ
6-Shoot matching colored balls at a spinning circle with pie-shaped colored sections. The balls shoot fast but the circle spins super slow. დდდ
You can play in an Easy, Normal, or Difficult mode which basically gives you faster hint and skip recharges. There is no Strategy Guide but there is a very helpful interactive Map that takes you to a scene that has an active task. The first 3 Legacy games were more of a point-and-click Adventure where you had to figure out the gameplay by tinkering with the surroundings and searching for clues where, unfortunately, this is more of a typical HOPA game. As I stated earlier, the developer went a little weird with the storyline, but the graphics are still gorgeous, and the puzzles and HO's are really entertaining. As an added bonus, there are 12 Replayable Mini-Games including the marble shooting game described in #5 which was not as easy as it sounds!
