I bet you didn't know that Jet Dogs Studios has developed several HOPA games in the past, some of which are really good! With some encouragement, maybe Jet Dogs will dive back into this genre.
The hidden object scenes are a little cluttered, but some of the items can be challenging to spot. They are far better than the HO scenes offered in recent HOPA games by Do & Elephant Games, which says a lot! Several varieties are offered, such as Listed Items, Matching Pairs, Multiples of the Same Object, or Silhouetted Shapes.
The Mini-games are decent but tend to be on the easy-breezy side, such as rotating disks to create several paths or turning on all lights by flipping switches.

To sum it all up, Jet Dogs obviously worked hard to create a Hidden Object Game that, in my opinion, is leaps and bounds better than all the other HOGS offered lately. While other developers are spewing out travel-related searching games, one after the other (most of which are knockoffs of the previous developers' game), Jet Dogs came in hot with a pretty decent HOG! ...If they decide to enter the HOPA market, I'm definitely going to be on Team Jet Dogs!
In case you're curious about their HOPAs:
1 Moment In Time: Silentville
Millennium Secrets: Emerald Curse
Millennium Secrets: Roxanne's Necklace
Cursed
Frankenstein: Master of Death
Sinister City
Dracula's Legacy
Alchemy Mysteries: Prague Legends
Wanderland
Annabel
The Red Book (HOG)

Completed Game in about 4.0 hours
(including completion of all mini-games & CE Bonus Chapter)
Difficulty Range: Beginner-Intermediate (GR8 story for Advanced players)
Professor Newman has always admired Edgar Allen Poe's literary talents, but he never dreamed that he would someday meet the man responsible for his successful career... after all, Poe has been dead for over a hundred years!
If Death summoned you, would you answer the call?  During Halloween, lost souls are able to complete their unfinished business, allowing them passage to the afterlife. Death believes the Professor's expansive knowledge of Poe's literary work will help Edgar complete his last novella and move on.
To complete his novella, Poe needs three Inspirational Sparks: a beginning, a climax, and a denouement. Unfortunately, Professor Newman must enter the realms of three of Poe's creepiest novels, beginning with "The Masque of the Red Death,"... where the moral of the story is that death is inevitable!
𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐏𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐎𝐁𝐉𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐒/𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐁𝐋𝐄𝐒: (𝐂𝐄 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲)
There are no Morphing Objects once again, a feature that Elephant Games have always had in the past...#NEVERMORE 🐦‍⬛
There are 25 pumpkins that convert to Puzzle Pieces. The puzzle pieces allow you to assemble a single Jigsaw Puzzle with Halloween shapes within the Secret Room.  I thought Elephant Games did a great job of obscurely hiding these pumpkins within the scenes.
There are also 12 Collectible Poe Novels. NOTE: you get an opportunity to return to scenes to find missing collectibles & puzzle pieces in the Expedition Room.
𝐇𝐈𝐃𝐃𝐄𝐍 𝐎𝐁𝐉𝐄𝐂𝐓 𝐒𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐒:
The Hidden Object Scenes are varied with Listed Items, Interactive Lists, Fragmented Finds, Silhouetted Shapes, Matching Items, Multiples of the Same Object, and Keywords in Sentence Finds as well. There are a ton of quick Mini HOs as well, where you are tasked with finding six objects that match the silhouetted shapes shown in a zoom zone.
𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐈-𝐆𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐒/𝐏𝐔𝐙𝐙𝐋𝐄𝐒:
I really enjoyed most of the mini-games because most of the puzzles required a bit of thought or thinking a few steps ahead to solve.  A couple of my favorite was the one where you switch between two characters to swap and unlock circular sections of the scene. The other one I liked requires sliding squares to complete a path, but the squares continue moving until they hit an obstacle.
𝐁𝐎𝐍𝐔𝐒 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑: (𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫'𝐬 𝐄𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲)
I had to answer the door when Death came a-knockin' in the main game, but now I get/have to play as Death himself!...this could be fun, tee-hee-hee. It seems my original character, Professor Newman, knocked on Death's door one too many times, so apparently, I have to help the Professor move on myself!
There are five additional Mini-Games and seven Hidden Object Scenes that take place over six additional scene locations. You will continue your search for the final Collectibles and Pumpkins to complete the Jigsaw Puzzle. After completing the Bonus Chapter, the Expedition Room becomes available, which allows you to search for any missing collectibles and pumpkins.
𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐎𝐑'𝐒 𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐄𝐗𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐒:
7 Wallpapers, 1 Screensaver, 5 Music Soundtracks, 10 Achievements, 12 Collectible Edgar Allen Poe Novels, and 25 Hidden Pumpkins that convert to Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces to assemble a single Jigsaw Puzzle in the Secret Room (the puzzle pieces can be assembled as you find each piece, it isn't necessary to wait until game completion) 13 replayable Mini-Games, 13 replayable Hidden Object Scenes, an Expedition Room which allows you to return to the scenes to search for missed collectibles & puzzle Pieces, 3 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter, and a Built-In Strategy Guide.

Richard Gray has been summoned to the Astral World, a place where the souls of those who have not accepted their past mistakes come to face their inner demons. Richard must undertake three trials to purify his soul and determine his past, present, and future destiny.
I have mixed feelings about this game: 5 Stars for the story but only 3 Stars for the cookie-cutter gameplay and the lack of adventure aspects. I'll give this game 4 stars to show my gratitude for bringing back our beloved Richard!
The story drew me in and drove me to finish it, but the game mechanics were simply more of the same. More purses that required shaped motifs to open, more statuettes to find, adorn, and replace, more rusty latches to make shiny, more dirt piles to dig up, more locks to pick, more missing zipper pulls, and more shaped emblems to find and replace on every door, drawer, cabinet, and hidden cache imaginable...but still, the story drove me to endure all these cliche tasks because it's Richard we're talking about here!
Who doesn't want to know more about Richard's past life? (including Richard, it would seem).
Anna is MIA until the Bonus Chapter; the entire main game is about Richard and how his past Dark Art decisions affected his entire family. The plot was a nice change of pace, and I loved getting to know Richard after all these years.
Speaking of decisions: At one point in the game, Richard had to fill out a medical form. When asked what his occupation was, he wrote "Dark Art Consultant." I thought that was hilarious, so from now on, when asked what my occupation is, I have made the decision to say "Dark Art Consultant" from now on. 🤣
Bonus Chapter:
Anna assumed that Richard was at peace until he contacted her with an urgent message to meet him at the Gray family mansion to stop his father's evil plans. This is an average-length Bonus Chapter spanning over eight additional scene locations. There are 5 Mini-games, 4 Hidden Object Scenes, and 3 mini HO scenes available. You will search for the final 3 Artifact Wishes and 8 Astral Signs, which allow you to complete the Jigsaw Puzzle.
Collector's Edition Extras:
19 Scene Locations (+8 in the BC), 10 Wallpapers, 1 Screensaver, 5 Music Soundtracks, 13 Replayable Puzzles, 13 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 22 Achievements, 12 Collectible Artifacts of Wishes, 27 Astral Signs that convert to fragments to assemble a Jigsaw in the Secret Room, an Expedition Room to return to the scenes to search for any missed collectibles, and a Built-in Strategy Guide.

Gnomebody knows the trouble I've seen. I didn't even make it to level 26, as others have complained about; my game froze up after clearing four simple items from the path on the very first level!
I realize games are a bit more complex nowadays, but I can't remember a time at Big Fish when they had so many bugs and glitches, not to mention how many issues they have had where members can't even get a game to download...do you?
I've been so disappointed with their game selection lately that I haven't bothered to purchase a game in months. I can't believe that BF allows these game-stopping glitches...and then they still offer the SE version with the same glitches to go through unnoticed...really?!

I knew I was in for a treat when the game began with "Attention Stalkers:" My first task as an official Stalker was to find two giant badges to open my purse. My fellow Stalking partner asked me to meet him at the museum, where he suspected evil foul play was a-mist.
When you're a Professional Stalker, you can never be too careful, so before heading out to the museum, I printed a picture of a symbol that, according to the website, is guaranteed to dispel evil green mist. After carefully cutting out the symbol (Don't tell the other Stalkers, but I added a tad bit of glitter & some macaroni), I was now equipped with everything I could possibly need to start Stalking the museum...professionally speaking, of course.
With my shoes tied tight and my purse's vault unlocked, I skedaddled over to the museum with my freshly bedazzled Mist Dispeller. The first thing I noticed was a teddy bear in dire need of help; OH, THE HORROR! His little blue arm was completely torn off his body...hand me a needle & thread STAT;  I won't lose him!

Does anyone else remember how exciting it was to log onto Big Fish Games every day because you never knew what kind of amazing game awaited? Remember how many different developers they had and how many different genres they carried? My favorite scenario was when they offered a Standard Edition HOPA game from a developer no one had ever heard of because those developers were so eager to get their foot in the door that they would pour their heart and soul into the game.
Those days are gone, my friends! There are three HOPA developers left, and the only developers who seem eager to get their foot in the door at Big Fish nowadays are those who are looking to make a quick buck with cheaply produced knockoff HOGs. Nowadays, it seems new developers aren't even bothering to try to get a big toe in the door!?!
In an effort to appeal to Casual Arts fans, Avi Games tries desperately to recreate their magical appeal by copying every minute detail, but what they fail to realize is that CA fans have an emotional bond with their beloved series as well... an emotional attachment that is simply impossible to recreate in today's market. Besides, just because you can doesn't mean you should.
I quickly became bored with Sweet Home Look & Find 3 because there's no challenge whatsoever. It's nothing more than a clicking game because everything is exactly where you'd expect it to be: a Blender on the kitchen counter and bellows on the fireplace. Each level has 3-4 Cats & Dogs, all of which are large and easily spotted. There are a few Silhouetted Shape bonus items to find as well...of course there are! The HOs vary with Listed Items, Pictured Items, Silhouetted Shapes, and Multiples of the same item. What annoyed me the most (besides the background sounds of a phone ringing) was that there were multiple items matching the Listed Items. Nooo, not the notebook sticking out of the laptop bag, duh, that makes too much sense---Nooo, not that kitchen Pot, nooo, not that huge sticker of a kitchen pot, it's the third pot, you idiot!
After completing a scene, the popup scoring window takes so long you have to glance back at the scene to see if perhaps you missed something...and I'm talking Sloth 🦥 Sloooooow! You can purchase furnishings for your apartment and garden. I only played half of the demo and was able to purchase all but 4 apartment items. (not the garden section)
The Mini-games were okay, but nothing we haven't played hundreds of times before, such as clicking to cycle sections to the correct image, Spot the Differences, Dragging square tiles to match partial images on all four sides, or dragging a ball of yarn through a maze while turning junctions to the correct pathway.
I have to agree with @cbtx on this one. If we keep praising (and/or buying) these mediocre, dime-a-dozen HOGs, Big Fish will keep pumping them out at a break-neck pace. They will have no reason to search for new developers or offer a different variety of genres. If a small development team can pump out a new game in a series every few months, you can bet that they are turning a quick buck with little effort. Don't get me wrong, Indies are near and dear to my heart, but not when they copy someone else's hard work.
COLLECTOR'S EDITION EXTRAS:
12 Wallpapers, 18 Music Soundtracks, 10 Achievements, 8 Bonus Levels, 8 Bonus Puzzles, 12 Additional Puzzles, 30 Apartment Items to purchase (earn one coin for every 10 points)

No pressure, Casual Arts, but I'm hoping Halloween: Trick or Treat will become a yearly Halloween tradition. It isn't Christmas until Christmas Wonderland is released, so let's start a new Autumn tradition by offering a new Trick or Treat every year...Casual Arts style!

You can play in a Casual Mode (untimed-faster hint recharge), a Challenge Mode (timed-normal hint recharge), or the CE-Exclusive Extreme Mode, a timed mode where you must find all Lost & Found items and all Golden Pumpkins on each level.

Words listed in Blue are Tasks that require an interaction of some type (longer descriptions are shown when you place your cursor on the blue word), and words in Red are hidden inside or behind things (a magnifying glass will appear when you scan the area). Most of the scenes have at least one sparkling Zoom Zone, as well.

You will earn an Eagle Eye achievement if you don't use either the Hint Magnifying Glass, which shows the location of a single random item, or the Mega Hint feature, which briefly shows the location of all available items from the list. You'll earn a Bronze Star for completing the HO Scene, a Silver Star if you find all Golden Pumpkins OR all Lost & Found Items, and a Gold Star if you find all Golden Pumpkins AND all Lost & Found items. (extreme mode requires you to find all recyclable items & wildlife)

There are 19 Achievements to earn, and you can purchase 16 Halloween Decorations that are displayed in your front yard. Each scene contains several hidden Golden Pumpkins and several Lost & Found items, shown as Silhouetted Shapes (96 total). Some scenes have a Photo Op Icon  to take a picture of the scene for your Photo Album (16 Photo Ops)

After each Hidden Object Scene, you'll play a quick Mini-Game such as Placing Map Shapes, Spot The Difference, Word Search, Concentration, or Jigsaw Puzzle variations (Rotate Squares, Swap Squares or Strips, Flipsaw, Slider Puzzles, etc.)

COLLECTOR'S EDITION EXTRAS:
CE Bonus Levels (marked with a CE Rosette), an Extreme Mode available, 18 Wallpapers, 20 Music Soundtracks w/player, 19 Achievements, 16 Photo Op Screenshots (available in Photo Album), 16 Halloween Decorations to purchase and display in the front yard, 96 Lost & Found items to find, Golden Pumpkins in each scene,  48 Replayable Mini-Games.
EXTRA MINI-GAMES:
6 Jigsaws
6 Square Tile Rotation Puzzles
6 Flipsaws
6 Spot the Differences
4 Concentration Memory Games
6 Word Search Games
2 Ring Rotation Puzzles
3 Trivia Quiz Games

I love Halloween and all the things that Go Bump in the Night🪦 I do agree that the backgrounds of these puzzles are a tad bit too dark as far as the color scheme goes, but the images are pretty cool, nonetheless.
Graphium Studio knows how to do puzzles right; they always have a bunch of settings and puzzle shapes to make them enjoyable. I love that you can see every picture in the demo and do them in any order.
There are six different categories: Dark Arts - Fallen Memories - Fright Stories - Music of Autumn - Haunted Phantoms, and a Bonus Chapter. There are two Puzzle Modes, Mosaic with eight different shapes available, and Classic, which has six different puzzle cutouts. You can also select the number of pieces for each puzzle individually and fine-tune the background color with a full-scale color chart.
The icing on the cake...there's a pretty interesting story that progresses as you earn energy by completing the puzzles!

The truth is, I have grown weary of finding an emblem to open my purse, only to discover I needed something to open a broken zipper pull. I have grown weary of having to use oil to unlock a door's bolt latch as if no one has used this door in a small office a thousand times before. I have grown weary of using a nail file or coin to unscrew screws. I'm tired of having to find and replace batteries and wires. Mostly, I have no desire to spend 90% of my time in a game replacing shaped motifs and gluing broken items back together.
The truth is, HOPAs weren't like this in the past. I just finished replaying a fantastic older game called Brink of Consciousness: Dorian Gray Syndrome from 2012. This game was released before the creation of a Jump Map, so I had to hoof it with my own virtual feet (I think I may have even broken a virtual sweat). I unlocked dozens and dozens of doors and discovered secret passageways, and not a single scene was locked behind me in the entire 7 chapter game! Every task, every mini-game, and every Hidden Object Scene had a purpose necessary to progress further.
Why is this important? Because at some point between then and now, developers lost sight of the "adventure" in Hidden Object Puzzle Adventures! I no longer have to figure out where to place an inventory item because they lock the scenes behind us. How can a game be challenging or require critical thinking if you only have to keep track of 2-3 scenes? It's impossible to get lost or not figure out where something goes when there are only 2-3 available scenes at any given point, not to mention the fact that everything is shaped.
Back then, Hidden Object Scenes were challenging but completely entertaining, and you looked forward to the next one. Items were blended into the scenery; sometimes, they were hidden in plain sight, but somehow, you still had to scour the scenes several times to find a listed object. The prize was always a much-needed tool or inventory item, and you often had to travel back to previous scenes to see if another HOS was available. HO scenes were a vital part of the game, but now they are mindless fillers.
Back then, the puzzles and mini-games were creative and fun. Almost everyone could complete them without having to refer to six pages of tutorials, yet you still felt a sense of pride when you completed them. Now, we are tasked with gluing torn picture fragments together, swapping square tiles, or finding and replacing a handful of items in a scene. How can you feel a sense of pride when you enter a safe code by simply clicking on the dial 3-4 times while the correct combination is automatically entered?
Developers: 🙏🏼
Please put the ADVENTURE back into our HOPAs! Stop shoving us forward in these games like we're in cattle chutes and can never go backward. Create games that make us have to remember how and where to get back to a scene to complete a task. Give us a little credit; we're capable of doing so much more than gluing statuettes together, taping wires, and placing shaped motifs!

Twistingo just eclipsed into a whole new galaxy! This developer knows how to put the Mix into Mixo Games, bringing us a fantabulous Hidden Object game with a splendiferous twist. Blue Moon is challenging yet incredibly fun...this ain't your granny's old-fashioned HOG. So scootch your computer chair up to the puter, grab a cuppa Joe, and buckle in for the long haul.
The first thing that catches your eye, as do all Mixo Games, is the vibrant hues of the flora & fauna in these tropical isles.  Unfortunately, the island is under a Blue Moon icy curse, so you'll have to search for Moonstones during the layered HO scenes to remove the icy curse.
The main Hidden Object scenes are very complex and multi-faceted. There are Riddled Clues and Multiples of a whole slew of items that are very cleverly blended into the scenery. As you progress, you'll be tasked with finding a tool that will allow you to delve even deeper into the scene while opening new Zoom Zones.
Some of the items are linked to a mini-game, including the infamous Twisting Bingo game, where you click on numbered balls that match the numbers on the Bingo card. I loved the Blocked Doors mini-game, where you had to remove blocked doors in a specified direction, according to the arrows, until the field was cleared. There is also a Mahjong Matching game and a Higher/Lower Solitaire game as well.
Some items prompt a different HO variation. There are two HO variations. The first variation is a Matching Pairs HO that is deeply layered with hundreds of beautiful items, and you simply click on two identical items to remove them. My favorite level was the one where you first remove matching water lilies, followed by the lily pads, and then colorful tree frogs, snails, and finally beautiful fish...very pretty and so relaxing.
The second variation is also deeply layered, but in this variation, you remove multiple items that are listed on scraps of paper. As you remove items, more listed items are uncovered until you reach the bottom of the layered pile. Both variations are actually quite challenging; in fact, one of the levels had two large, slowly turning gears with items hidden within.
This is not a typical Hidden Object Game. Mixo Games has somehow managed to put a Twist into a typical HOG...but then again, that's what they do best!
