Another fantastic Christmas Wonderland Hidden Object game with beautiful and colorful Christmas themed graphics. Santa is trying to organize the shop in order to prepare for all the Christmas letters that are pouring in from all over the world from all the boys and girls. This edition has us finding all the items that go into a nativity set one item at a time which are stored at the top of each scene. You will need to find all items on the list and you need to search for candy canes and toy Santa's that aren't on the list for extra points, there may be more than one of each of these items in each scene. In between each HOS there is a mini game to play such as rotating pieces of a map or matching postcards with a famous landmark from different countries to their matching country envelopes. This is exactly the kind of game that can be enjoyed by the entire family, enjoy!
Dark shadows are rising, the spirits are restless and Lord Strix is back! Travel to his hidden lair and defeat him once and for all—but hurry; he grows stronger by the minute!

Once again Mina Lockhart must defeat the evil Lord Strix and his army of Trolls and serpent dragons! Lord strix has been busy breeding an army of those huge ugly Trolls, and Mina and Malik the Sprite are joined once again to fight this evil. This is a different kind of game with cartoonish type graphics and puzzles galore, this is not a hidden object adventure, if you are looking for that kind of game this isn't for you. However if you enjoy a fantasy based puzzle game then you will absolutely love this game. There are 20 stone dragons to collect and as I said before this game is all about the puzzles, almost one after another such as clicking on the correct symbols of a stone clock by referring to the notes in your journal. There are games of blocks where you have to move blocks of different shapes out of the way to allow the key block to pass through. One of my favorite games was clicking on numbers 1-10, you can only click on the numbers that share the same orbit, row or column of the previous number. This is an easy game, nothing hardcore, if you just want to play a relaxing game with entertaining puzzles and a cute story then you are in for a treat with this game, enjoy!

Dorian had such a vivid imagination, always painting pictures of fairies and dragons, so when he tried to convince his older brother that a strange mist has taken over the bridge, this was dismissed as mere fantasy. This would turn out to be the most regretful decision he could ever make for you see the mist was real and the mist pulled Dorian into it's world never to be found! Even worse, nobody believed him, until he meets a scientist, Victor Haig, who specializes in the paranormal. Together they would build a fairy trap and find out what happened to Dorian. If you love those fantasy themed games then you're in for a treat, the fairy you capture will be sitting in a vat of mist as your hint icon and soon after entering the misty world you will adopt Drako, a cute and tiny dragon who loves catching things on fire!
The hidden object scenes are a mixture of interactive list finds, and progressive interactive silhouettes where you have to find the first item that matches the silhouetted shape, then use that item back in the scene, such as finding a paperclip and using the paperclip on a broken zipper and the next item will be uncovered. You will find scraps of paintings that will be stored in a tube next to the mystic fairy and when all the pieces are collected you will put them back together in the form of a tile swap puzzle. The mini games in my opinion were easy but entertaining. My favorite puzzle was guiding a firefly from the first flower to the last flower which is blue, you had to follow set paths and all flowers needed visited with the blue flower being the last one traveled to. It's certainly nothing new but I still enjoyed it. Some games I truly believe need the features of the Collectors Edition to be fun but in this case I didn't find the game boring without the extras. When I review each game the first thing I go by is whether or not I played the entire demo. If I did play the entire demo, was I so involved that when the demo ended it kind of surprises me that an hour has already passed. And then I decide if I liked the demo so much that this would be a game I would purchase. The answer I came up with on this Standard Edition is yes to all three. Then I will critique the quality of the game itself, what I like or dislike, and in my opinion, I am able to give each game a review individually, apples to apples, not game A is so much better than game B. I remember when I first started playing HOS games, how hard it was to decipher the good games from the bad ones and reading reviews that had so many abbreviations that I needed a key to decode the message. That's when I decided to write reviews and share my opinions as simply as possible, opinions with a dash of sarcasm to lighten the day, enjoy!

A few weeks ago (in virtual time A.K.A the last Secret Order) Sarah Pennington recovered a mask and scepter stolen by a rogue member sworn to protect the weak and innocent. Now Sarah is the Orders newest member and her father has called an emergency meeting at Headquarters. The mask and scepter are suddenly unstable, the museum itself is being obliterated and has Sarah's dad trapped. Sarah knows it's too late to save her father, she must board the Royal Griffin and travel back in time to stop King Amadon from forging the artifacts made of unearthly materials, thus saving the world! (Piece of cake) There are only a couple of complaints I have with this game. I love the continuing story that all three Order's have stuck with, the graphics are very well done for the most part which is a feature that has always drawn me into these games. With this game I kept noticing a scene here or there that seemed almost blurred, certainly not crystal clear like the rest of the game, and only in some of the zoomed in areas. It isn't something that's going to ruin the game I just had to wonder if it was a special effect or if the game was rushed? I wasn't exactly thrilled with the baby griffin that was hatched in Order to help with out of reach places. Why can't I have a majestic full sized Griffin, this little guy is cartoonish, clunky, awkward and has a beak larger than his head, it just seemed out of place. Those are my only two complaints, the rest I loved!
There are achievements to earn and collectible Griffins, Turquoise Unicorns, and Golden Dragons. Each scene has plenty of active areas and gadgets to find to open up secret passages, there are even interactive games to play with some of the characters you come across like the gambling Captain who challenges you to a matching card game. The hidden object scenes are interactive list finds which have a mah-jongg tile game option. I loved the mini games, very entertaining and fun puzzles such as placing coins with different numbers of fleur de lis which had to add up to 12 horizontally, vertically and diagonally. My favorite one however was guiding laser beams of different colors with mirrors of different directions. The goal was to direct the beams to the color coded connector without overlapping beams of light. Some of the mirrors were broken and couldn't be moved, and some had to be repaired. This Collectors Edition comes with a built in strategy guide, wallpapers, concept art, music and of course a bonus game feature. Enjoy!

The long awaited sequel to the Cradle of Rome series and my personal favorite although I think the original Cradle of Rome is the most difficult. This is a Match 3 game where you match 3 or more resources and with the money and resources you earn, you buy plans for a building. The plan is actually a mini game such as rotating discs to complete a picture and when finished you buy the actual building and with that building you receive a bonus or new resource. You get a new life for every 100,000 points. There are bonuses to help you such as a pick to destroy 1 tile, a powder keg to destroy 9 tiles, a chariot to destroy an entire row, an ankh to stop time, a winged sun to destroy 25 tiles, the eye of Ra to destroy 15 random tiles, a liquidizer to scramble all tiles and a star to clear all alike tiles of your choice. There are obstacles to overcome such as marbled and double marbled tiles, roped and double roped tiles, stone tiles and those dreaded skulls are back and in abundance. This game offers Torney mode which is unlocked at 200,000 points which is a race against the clock trying to beat the devs scores. You choose a single bonus and you can earn a bronze, silver or gold cup. My favorite feature is the Blitz mode which can be played in Easy, Normal and Hard modes for bronze, silver and gold cups. You start at level one and play continuously until the timer runs out. To keep the timer full you need to make matches as quickly as possible if you hesitate the timer starts to drain, bonuses refill the timer as well but need to be collected before using them again. This game has 16 citizens and 12 trophies to earn in adventure mode. A new feature is a magic chest you get when you match the same resource 4 times in a row. They have added more arrows to this game as well. You get an arrow when you match 5 tiles which destroys 5 tiles, a super arrow for matching 6 tiles which destroys 9 tiles and a mega arrow for matching 7 tiles which destroys 25 tiles! There is no better Match 3 game out there I promise you this, enjoy!

This is the original Christmas Wonderland with beautiful Christmas themed graphics. Each scene has several listed items to find such as a snowman, bells and even Santa. The goal is to find the 12 days of Christmas throughout the game such as 12 drummers drumming, 11 pipers piping, 10 lords a leaping, 9 dancers dancing, you get the picture. There are only two or three in each scene and they are different in each hidden object scene. There are plenty of mini games such as using different colored candy canes as keys in the correct order by trial and error (or guessing correctly) This is the kind of game that can be enjoyed by kids and adults for years to come, enjoy!

The original Sparkle was already a wonderful marble popping game, but this Sparkle is definitely loose and unleashed with superb high quality graphics and a fast paced moving chain of colorful balls/marbles! This game also comes with a setting to assist with color blindness, having two son's that are color blind I know how frustrating games can be when you can't tell the difference between blue/green and red/orange, so thank you devs, much appreciated. The goal of this game it to match at least three marbles of the same color, and if possible strategically place the marbles so that when you match a set in the middle the marbles on the left and right will then come together and match as well. That sounds confusing so to clarify, if there are two gold marbles in between a red marble on the left and a red marble on the right try to shoot the next two reds, 1 on the left and one on the right so that when you shoot a gold marble in the middle the 4 reds will join together for a chain reaction. Chain reactions give you a bonus icon which will remain on the board temporarily and you need to shoot the icon before it disappears. A new bonus icon will be awarded each time you level up which is usually every 3-4 games. You earn a key to unlock these bonuses such as Frost, which freezes the paths and slows the marbles down to a snails pace for a few seconds. There is a Fireball icon which is used on the next shot and destroys a small group of marbles and Sparks which start at 4 sparks that shoot out and when you get the next power up it gets stronger with 9 sparks and so forth. Each new level throws out multiple marble chains which makes it more difficult to shoot because as the chains wind around the paths they block each other and sometimes the ball hits the wrong chain thus making the chain longer. If the marble chain makes it to the hole at the end it's game over, lights out. I have a game similar to this game, Tumblebugs, on my ipad and play that game on long road trips so I can tell you without a doubt this type of game is 100% addicting. I really can't get over how crisp and colorful the graphics are on this game, you really do need to check it out, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Nightmares from the Deep: Davy Jones
Escape the cold incarceration of Davy Jones' brig and discover the otherworldly origins of his galleon in this thrilling Hidden Object adventure!

The Sea Devil, Davy Jones has returned, riding a giant tidal wave into the museum and hauling you and Cory back to his ship. You escape the brig only to be captured on deck by a bunch of skeleton pirates and here comes Davy Jones again. Unfortunately Cory is tricked into signing a pact and now we're on a rescue mission. After being thrown overboard you manage to make it to shore where the biggest treasure known to mankind is buried. You've been told by pirates who have signed the pact as well that there is no way off the island until your pact has been fulfilled, but then you find a glimmer of hope. You find one of the 12 guardians of Davy Jones memory, there is a way to break the pact, but he doesn't remember, perhaps the other 11 will! Now I will admit that I'm a fan of the Collectors Edition because I happen to love collectibles and morphs, but for the Standard Edition price this is a great value if you can do without the bells and whistles. The graphics are bright and vibrant and there's a ton of skeleton pirates and even a ghost, the cinematics are very professional. There are a mixture of hidden object scenes from interactive list finds, fragmented objects and progressive interactive scenes with mini games built in. You can opt for a nautical themed game of Mahjong as well. There are a bunch of unusual mini games that I haven't seen done before. My favorite one was talking to a pirate first mate's head where he agrees to help you if you get rid of the pirate skulls annoying him directly below him. To accomplish this you must exchange their hats to start a chain reaction of cannons firing, gems directing beams, lightning etc. until all pirated are destroyed and the entire time the first mate is cheering you on. This entire series is so entertaining that it's hard to stop playing so if you have the time, start with the first Nightmares from the Deep and enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Christmas Tales: Fellina's Journey
Find Santa’s magic star and stop the gruesome Icy Elf from ruining Christmas for everyone on the planet in Christmas Tales: Fellina’s Journey!

Delightful Christmas game designed to be enjoyed by young and old alike, beautiful graphics and magic to warm your heart. The Icy Elf has used black magic to turn Santa into a Clauscicle but never fear for the good elves are here! Santa was able to magically send a letter to the wee helpers sending them a message to find the child with a crystal soul and magic star! Fellina is just that child for she has never misbehaved (what!?) and of course she's willing to save Santa and the planet (why not) The hidden object scenes are adorable and interactive where you have to zoom into boxes and stockings to find more items. This is really enjoyable game that in my opinion will stand the test of time because it's current enough not to get dated and boring, so dust off the snowflakes, grab a cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows, gather up the youngens and enjoy!

I have played a lot of Match 3 games and none of them can hold a Roman Candle to the Cradle of Rome series. Although the original Cradle of Rome is more challenging, the added features and graphics improvements make this an outstanding contender. The goal is to turn all blue tiles yellow and overcome obstacles such as double marble tiles, chains, double chains, ice blocks and those dreaded skulls that when matched add blue tiles to the board. With the resources and gold you earn you will buy buildings to build the city of Rome and each building comes with bonuses. There is a hammer to remove a single tile of choice, bomb to remove 9 tiles, fireball to remove a column and row, hourglass to add time, lightning to destroy 15 random tiles, super bomb to destroy 25 tiles, mixer to shuffle all tiles and star which removes all similar tiles. If you make a match 5 or more you get a super arrow on the board to destroy tiles in that area. You will earn a new life for every 50,000 points and there are 16 citizens to earn by making a certain amount of resource matches or making 2 match 5's in a row for example. There are 12 trophies to earn for different goals such as earning all citizens or playing all mini games. There is a Tourney mode available at 500,000 points which allows you to play 40 selected levels to earn gold, silver or bronze medals when you beat the best scores from the devs and you get to choose any one bonus to help you. The Blitz mode is my absolute favorite available in Easy, Normal or Hard modes (or all 3) and you earn Gold, Silver, or Bronze medals. In the Blitz mode you start at level one and continuously play uninterrupted until the timer empties. You keep progressing through the levels, the timer will stay full if you are making matches rapidly but drains if you are hesitating. if you use your bonuses (same bonuses, same levels as earned in main game) the timer fills but you have to match more bonus tiles to refill, super arrows also fill meter up. This is an extremely fast paced game but quite thrilling, enjoy!
