I have played hundreds of Hidden Object adventure games and in all honesty, there's no other game out there quite like this one! The cartoonish characters have their own unique, out of proportioned features and they all mumble their own language, don't worry, there is a dialog text to read in case you don't speak or understand City of Fools lingo. This is the first of currently 2, the second game is also just as entertaining, Who Am I? You play the role of a journalist on assignment to the foolish town of Tundel to interview the town Mayor who seems to be covering up an alleged landing of a UFO. The problem is that in order to track down the Mayor, you need to find or earn money to purchase a ticket to fly from the mainland to an island where the Mayor is located. In order to earn money you accept tasks from the citizens of Tundel who need random supplies or chores. You can go to several different locations in each scene, forward, backward, left and right, and there are several buildings in those locations to visit. You may go into an apartment building and the tenant has been given the wrong hemorrhoid cream, and now he looks transparent, he asks you to put the photograph that he tore into pieces, back together and you need to get the correct medication. The goal is to help as many citizens as possible so that they pay you money, there are a ton of citizens along the way with a ton of tasks but you don't need to complete every task unless you want to before leaving the mainland. The puzzles are all fairly simple such as putting together torn pieces of a photo or a shooting gallery game and the Hidden Object Scenes are usually just picking out needed items out of a junk pile. This is a different kind of game with very edgy humor, and many different tasks to keep you from getting bored, enjoy!
I recommend this game!

I love this game! At first I had my doubts because the name alone sounds like it's designed for the wee ones, and they will probably like it as well, but I put my doubts aside and gave it a test drive around the block (and never went home) The object of this game is to click on groups of the same colored tiles until all tiles are gone. You need to think ahead several steps in order to have stray tiles line up with at least one other tile of the same color as rows fall. You get more points for larger group matches and some tiles are worth 2x as indicated. Before the start of each level the goal for that game is stated such as clearing 75% of the tiles, scoring 14,000 points or rescuing all the pets my making matches below them until the pet is at the bottom. This may sound easy but the further you progress the more challenging it becomes with fewer matching tiles and some of the tiles are on top of wooden or stone blocks and they slide off one side or the other when all matches are made below them. With each block you remove, a cannon will fill up which can then be used to shoot an entire column of blocks out, there are more bonuses as you progress such as an exterminator, which will remove a selected block or a color explosion which will remove all visible blocks of the same color. When I say visible it's because some levels continue after the first set of blocks are nearly removed the screen will scroll up exposing an entire group of tiles that were hidden below. You have the option of adding friends to your profile and you can exchange gifts (I'm assuming gifts of tokens for the F2P) I haven't looked into this feature yet. Well my addiction is calling so I'm off to rescue some pets, enjoy!

This is a really fun mosaic griddler puzzle with over 100 levels. Some of the cells contain bonus power ups such as a pickaxe which can be used to reveal the state of one cell, a keg (?) which will give you the chance to make one more mistake and a penguin which will highlight one cell. The object of this game is to logically fill in cells on a grid such as a 10 x 10 square, by reason of deduction. I really liked the feature of the game that automatically fills in the tiles not available after all the correct cells were filled which means you don't have to go through the cells right clicking unavailable cells. There is a fantasy garden to build after each level but there are no choices, it just gives you an addition to your garden and I thought this feature was worthless but some may enjoy it. I'm also not sure if the tutorial is specific enough for beginners because there is just one page prior to the game to read about the power ups and the left-right clicking features so if you've never played griddlers, mosaics, pic cross type games before, hang in there because once you have figured out the concept, I know you'll be hooked, enjoy!

Well first of all, if you're able to accomplish time travel, maybe the accusations are true! Jane Angel contacted her sister Nancy begging for help but when Nancy arrives at Jane's house she is met by a stranger in a mask. The stranger throws a book at her and suddenly they are both on a ship in the 1500's, Jane in shackles, Nancy a ghostly figure who fades in and out! You play the part of Jane who meets a fellow prisoner by the name of Lionel de Lozada who claims that his wife has been accused of witchcraft and is being held captive as well! As the two of you work together to escape, the pieces of the puzzle start to fall in place because the woman accused of witchcraft is Nancy!
I'm not going to claim that this is an over the top exciting adventure because at times I found the tasks and the re-visitations to the same rooms to be mundane. The graphics are clear but simplistic and void of details. With that being said, strangely this game in my opinion did have some entertainment value and would be a good choice for using that lingering credit. The compass will show directions available, and there are only two modes of difficulty. Each scene has several direction choices not just a back arrow to the previous location, and the name of the room or area will be shown as well. The mini games are entertaining but fairly easy such as "blocks" where you have to move blocks of different sizes up and down or sideways in order to unblock the main tile. Another puzzle involved 3 discs that turned when clicked on as well as a center disc that turned with the goal of manipulating colored sections of the 3 discs by using the center disc to distribute the sections to the 3 smaller discs until the 3 smaller discs were each a solid color, red, blue and green. I actually liked the concept of the Hidden Object scenes, which often covered more than one area, the items to find were still the same they just weren't always crammed into one scene. Another feature I haven't seen before was the fact that as you re-visited the previous HOS, there were inventory items to be found, not in the form of a HOS, it was just there to pick up such as a fan that was on a shelf in the HOS. Again, you probably (ya never know) aren't going to consider this the most exciting game you've ever played, but it has a good story, some good puzzles and an "out of the box" concept for hidden objects. Some of the tasks might surprise you because you have to stop and figure out a logical solution, others are quite simple solutions, enjoy!
A famous actor has literally stepped off the screen to kidnap your niece. Now you must find a way into the dangerous and exciting world of the film to save her!

Jane was engaged to Andrew Light when he was shot and killed in cold blood, his murderer never brought to justice. Several years later, Jane and her mother are watching one of Andrews famous films when disaster strikes, the actors suddenly begin to go off script and the jungle pours out of the screen! Andrew sees Jane in the audience and makes a split decision to grab her and they disappears into the jungle! Sometimes you have to take a leap of faith, and you follow your niece into the jungle. I will admit that I like the Collectors Edition better because I love the extras available, but this game is well worth the price, there are many areas of interest in each scene, some of the inventory items require you to assemble them or interact in some way with the item as indicated by a star above the item. My favorite part about the Surface games are the Hidden Object Scenes which require you to toggle back and forth between HO list and the inventory bar to retrieve items to use in the scene. There are also some unique mini games, my personal favorite was the King Kong arcade pinball game that you have to adjust flippers, flowers, planes and King Kongs arm itself to guide the ball from start to finish. This isn't my favorite Surface game but it ranks on top in my book, enjoy!

Jane receives a call from her Uncle Tony's notary claiming he has passed away and she is the heir to her Uncle's house in Paris. What she finds in Paris is a time machine, and unfortunately she activates the time machine and releases a time paradox. There are two modes of difficulty, Chrono-tourist which is a relaxing mode where interactive objects and key items are labeled, the hint icon recharges quickly and the puzzles are simplified. Chrono-agent is just the opposite and you'll have to use brain power to figure everything out. The Hidden Object Scenes are very well done, some in small zoomed in areas, others spread throughout a room, the objects are clear and recognizable. There are no voiceovers, just dialog boxes to read or cartoon sketches depicting transitions between areas. The reason for my low rating is the fact that there is no wow factor to keep my interest and gameplay is too slow, the cursor doesn't change quickly enough and you have to be on an exact spot to get the cursor to change to an eye indicating an active area.

The Stinkers are back! This is the most simplistic complicated game I've ever played, I will admit that they last edition of this game was the first one I had played, and I gave up on it prematurely because I just didn't get the point of guiding these little guys around. I was determined to figure this game out and give this a fair review, and I will tell you that the first 5 minutes almost deterred me. What was the point of guiding this little guy around one click at a time just to met a dead end? Then I met Zoopi Lala a fellow stinker and suddenly the game changed pace. You will come across various buttons of different colors, Diamond buttons toggle gates on and off, Round buttons only stay on if something stays on the button (tag team) Square buttons stay on and so forth, the goal is to open various gates and complete your mission of saving the rest of the stinkers from the evil z-bots. The game does get more complicated as you progress, there are vacuum tunnels, and elevators and even buttons and bridges that slide back and forth and up and down, there are even chambers that require you to time fire pillars that go on and off in a pattern. There are Rainbow gems to collect that will give you extra game points but not necessary for the completion of the game. Some items you must pick up such as keys or magic gloves in order to progress, after acquiring the item it will be stored in your inventory which can be opened and used in appropriate locations. There are missions to complete, which can be played as many times as it takes to complete, you must read the instructions and figure out how to reach the star by opening gates and manipulating different gates bridges and tunnels and by trial and error. Don't forget to SAVE the game periodically so that you have a starting point when you return or you don't want to have to replay a difficult mission. Give this game 10-15 minutes and you may be surprised to find it's kind of addicting, enjoy!

Sasha lost her mother and father when she was only 5 years old in a freak storm. They had given her an amulet, the golden homunculus, which now seems to be leading her on a journey to restricted and toxic areas. (she also runs into Daniel from the last Phenomenon but only briefly?) Sasha must charge and use the amulet to neutralize the Cyan plasma's toxic effects which is making people sick and weak as she desperately tries to find the missing research team and rid the world of the spreading poisons. Once again the graphics are gorgeous, with colorful stonework and glowing lights. There are very few mini games and most of the mini games involve a 10 step process where you have to read and follow the directions by pushing buttons, turning dials and levers until all steps have been completed. I personally don't miss the lack of puzzles simply because there are so many things to do in each scene including finding 35 hidden plasma flasks. Here's my favorite part of the Phenomenon games, the Hidden Object Games, why? Because these games all have a cool feature that allows you to find items in the past and present. You will search for items on the list which include some interactions such as putting scissors back together. When you find all but one item you click on the swirling plasma ball and the scene will transform and another list is available in that scene. After all those items are found, you return to the first scene and the last item that couldn't be found before is now available! (told you it was cool) It isn't necessary to have played the other Phenomenons, but in my opinion they are really entertaining games and you should consider playing all of them, enjoy!

This is a nice match 3 game with colorful tiles which can be played in timed or untimed modes, you can also choose between swap matches, chain matches and group matches, with the goal of earning 3 gold stars. There are coins to collect as well as special bonuses to collect by clicking on those tiles. There are also upgrade bonuses as you progress such as a witches broom to clear a single tile. You choose which character to portrait which are the grandchildren of the witch who needs to clean up a dilapidated park where she lives before the city decides to bulldoze the park. There are 148 levels which should make this a lengthy game, enjoy!

Emma Roberts the famous paranormal investigator has been called in to investigate strange water phenomena after the mysterious death of Julia White. Julia was an engineer working on the town dam when she saw something, but never made it back to report her findings! The fantastic water manipulations that the devs have accomplished in this game is incredible period. You will receive a shell that can be used to manipulate water, such as putting out fires or soaking it up. Although there are no bells and whistles in this edition it's still a really entertaining game. The hidden object scenes are interactive list finds where you may have to pick up different colored bouquets of flowers and place them into the gnome planters. You can opt for a jigsaw puzzle instead of the HOS. The mini games are pretty simple such as scrolling through wooden boats until you find the correct and matching boats for the slotted silhouettes. In my opinion the Collectors Edition is more entertaining, but for the price difference this one's top notch, enjoy!
