Something's still fishy here! Even though I have purchased this game, I'm still unable to download any of my purchased games since the overhaul, so, unfortunately, I can only review the demo of this game.

The first thing that grabbed my attention was the realistic graphics! They didn't use those purple haze, and green neon glitter bombs, they just made the graphics bright and colorful while trying to keep everything as natural looking as possible. I'm not 100% convinced that it isn't a fluke but it would seem that Domini has turned a new leaf because the entire demo seemed to have fewer cliche tasks than most Domini games...could they be listening to our reviews finally?
Collectibles/Morphing Objects (CE version only)
The tasks may have had a facelift, but the Collectibles are still sagging! They are always the same collectibles, they just give them a different name from one game to the next. There are 15 Morphing Relics, 15 Reverse Artifacts, and 75 Zoom Zone Metal Plates that are used to purchase 15 uninteresting Portal Keeper's Room items. There is an optional Collection Icon Tab that can be enabled or disabled in the settings menu which will light up when there is a collectible in the current scene. You can also choose to show/hide the availability of collectibles on the Map.
Hidden Object Scenes:
The Hidden Object scenes have the usual variants such as Interactive Listed Item Finds, Silhouetted Shape Finds, and Keywords in Sentence Finds. My biggest complaint here is that the developers never apply their amazing graphics, story-telling, and creative imagination skills to the HO scenes. It's always the same MO, and the scenes are located in really boring locations, usually just a pile of things sitting on a desk or shelf!
Do me a favor folks, take a look at those beautiful graphics, pay attention to the detail Domini poured into the scenery before you click on the first HO scene. It's a mundane interactive list of items to find that are sitting on a table inside the motor-home camper...the entire bottom portion of the left side is pitch black, and the objects to find are so "been there done that" (find a compass, replace the flashlight battery, find a pair of scissors, you get the picture! HO scenes should pop with color, the scenes should be located in imaginative places, not the same locations they have been located in the past 100 games, this IS a fantasy-themed game is it not?
Alternate Match 3 Game:
There is an alternate Match 3 Game available if you don't want to play a Hidden Object Scene. The M3s still don't allow you to make consecutive matches quickly because you have to wait for all tiles to stop falling before you can make the next match and they are the same boards with the same tiles used in every Do Game!
Bonus Chapter (CE Version Only)
As I stated earlier, I couldn't play the entire game, I could only download & play the trial for this game because BF has yet to resolve this glitch. I realize my situation is somewhat unique because there are only a few of us who have the infamous 1404 Game Manager Glitch which occurs when you purchase too many games. When creating their new points system, BF either overlooked this GM glitch, or they don't have an actual solution yet, either way, they should at least have the courtesy to respond to my CS support ticket don't ya think?
Collector's Edition Extra's: (CE version only)
21 Wallpapers, 21 Concept Art Pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, 30 Movie Video Cutscenes, 25 Achievements, 20 Replayable Mini-Games, 20 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 15 Morphing Relics, 15 Reverse Artifacts, and 75 Zoom Zone Metal Plates that are used to purchase 15 uninteresting Portal Keeper's Room items, a Bonus Chapter, and a built-in Strategy Guide.

Golden Rails has always been on my top 10 Time Management games list and World's Fair is one of the best games in the series, with the exception of the original debut! I really love the uniqueness of the tasks that are centered around Railroad stations...it even has Bandits to chase away!
You can play in an Easy Mode with no timer, a Normal Mode with moderate time limits, or Hard Mode with tighter time limits. This is definitely a strategy-based game and you'll have to queue tasks strategically in order to complete the level goals within the allotted time frame to earn all 3-stars. The last several games, in this series and other games by this developer, have been a bit frustrating because they were a bit stingy with the timer on the normal mode. I felt the timer was a bit more lenient this go-round and although I've had to replay a few levels, the goals were obtainable within the allotted time...so much more enjoyable!
Although this game has the usual TM resources and tasks of collecting food and wood that are blocking various paths, chopping down trees, mining for gold or iron ore, repairing and upgrading houses, food mills, forges, sawmills, and warehouses. What sets this game apart from other TM games is the Wild West scenario of repairing Train Stations, loading & unloading cargo, repairing train tracks, guiding trains to the correct stations with switches, putting out fires, herding cattle, and even chasing away bandits!
Each scene has a hidden "Wanted" Owl (60 Total) that peeks out from behind a tree...my favorite part of the game! Normally, I would search for the owl before clicking on anything because that would start the timer, however, they changed this feature and the timer starts when you finish the conversation texts :( I found that you could just take your time to find the owl and then click replay to restart the level & timer... and you still get credit for finding the owl! You can purchase upgrades with the stars collected, and once all upgrades have been made, you'll have access to the Night Exhibition. There are also Shooting Range levels available after completing 5 levels.
This Collector's Edition version has 44 main levels and 15 CE levels, 60 Collectible Wanted Owls, 4 Wallpapers, 5 Music Soundtracks, Exhibition Upgrades, 36 Reward Trophies, and a Built-in Strategy Guide.

"A Brush with Greatness"??? I chose to "paint" the Firetruck scene because it was the only available image that involved coloring the entire scene. (because the developers make you finish your plate before you can have dessert) I really don't know how to describe all the thoughts running through my mind right now!
Trust me when I say that this is a picture straight from the coloring book "Trucks" that my 2-year-old grandson just got for his birthday...along with a new set of Jumbo crayons! I didn't know whether to get angry or burst out laughing!? Moving along, I decided I was already dedicated, besides, Toodles was nowhere to be found, so onward I marched, Hi-Ho!
As I filled in the extremely large areas of my preschool firetruck scene, inch by inch, number by number, I began to get curiousier and curiouser. It was almost as if I was reverse-coloring because I was filling in most of the scene's background with shades of white...and I'm talking about the main chunk of the scenery, 90% of the image itself!
When I colored the clothing of the people or traffic cones, etc., I used the same color on each section with no color variation, the colors were just separated with thick black lines...oh, never mind, I finally get it! This is exactly how the page looks in the "Trucks" coloring book because toddlers never actually fill in the background on coloring book pages, right? hmmm, I see what you've done here...very realistic, Bob :)
I can't wait to paint my little firetruck in the new Free Coloring Section, I sure hope there's a picture of a bulldoze to unlock in the next set of images, Hot Dog!

This is an excellent TM game but almost identical to the previous games in this series! If you played them consecutively, I think it would be super obvious that only the task items were changed, and of course, the story. Speaking of story, the plot in the original game was a "knock your socks off" kind of story and it appears the developers are struggling with this aspect as they continue the series. It was the plot of Welcome to Primrose Lake that captured everyone's attention...just saying!
Another feature of this series is that it allows you to earn all 3 stars on each level without having to speed-click at a break-neck pace. The goals are completely doable, requiring organization, multi-tasking, and of course, Time Management skill versus frustration and a bunch of random mad-clicking, which is how a Time Management game should be!
I love that each chapter has different themes, for example, in the Historical Society you sell bookmarks, library cards, books, etc. At the Resort, you are tasked with issuing room keys and other resort-related tasks which is an entirely different atmosphere. I still have that lingering question... what the heck goes on in that 5-minute Resort room?
Some levels have "Challenge Quests" where you are tasked with doing something above and beyond the normal goals, such as picking up library books (do people really throw books on the ground in a library?) Those levels are shown with a Crown. A pop-up Raccoon will appear briefly in each scene and if you "catch" him you will receive extra diamonds, those levels will have a Raccoon Face icon as well.
The Diamonds earned are used to collect resources and upgrade the locations. Some of the items require a combination, some require multiple copies, and some inventory items need to be restocked. There are 26 Achievements that have several categories and I love that when you click on the achievement icon, it automatically scrolls to each individual achievement, one at a time.
This is a really good Time Management series, but for me personally, I need the game to be vastly different than the last one, so I will pass on its purchase and hope for the best on the next Welcome to Primrose Lake!

I've been playing a bunch of random older games lately and I was totally expecting this game to be an ordinary Mahjong game, which happens to be my least favorite genre. I was totally wrong, this is a really fun Solitaire game with Majong tiles instead of cards! I'd also like to add that so far, every game I've come across that was developed by Toybox Games, has been totally worthy of playing and I have found some great "new favorites" among these classics!
There are two features in this game that are just unheard of. The first feature allows you to add your own Music with the click of a button, how cool is that? The second feature allows you to create your own Level Layout...say what, who'd have thunk this would be a thing?!?
QUEST MODE:
-Choose Easy, Medium, Hard, or All (mixture of all modes progressively)
-There are 15 Quests and 10 levels per Quest (150 levels total).
-Click available tiles that are 1 Higher or 1 Lower than the base card.
-If no cards are available, click the deck card pile
-There is an undo feature that doesn't seem to affect the score.
-I love the Score Card that appears after completing each level because it keeps track of your score AND your Best Combo length.
SURVIVAL MODE:
-Choose to play in a Timed or Untimed Mode.
-Play until you fail a level.
-Your score is based on all the levels you successfully complete.
-There is an Undo feature, and a Tile Counter.
-There is a Combo Meter and multiplier which increases when you remove the cards from the board quickly in concession.
If you are a Solitaire fan or a Mahjong fan, I think you will find this game to be quite enjoyable. I played the Quest Mode in the "All Modes" option and found that the progression of difficulty was kept at a good pace to keep the game interesting.

I have been playing a lot of older games because there haven't been any "knock your socks off" kind of games being released lately.
I started searching for games that were a bit different and this one looked a lot different. I realize it's a hit or miss, compatibility-wise with these older games but I haven't run into a lot of issues for the most part.
The first thing I was directed to do, even before the game loaded, was to install a special program to make it work...that should have been my first clue because I've played thousands of games but I have never been directed to install this particular program.
The extra component was installed successfully but the game's resolution opened up way out of proportion, I couldn't get to the taskbar if I wanted to!
Obviously, I couldn't play the game if I couldn't see the game so I clicked Ctrl/alt/del and tried to exit by stopping the game in the task manager. The task manager locked up completely and I had to restart my computer to escape! Proceed with caution when downloading this game!

This is actually a decent Match 3 game but once again, each level has several new features, and the popup explanations last for a second before the next feature popup appears making it impossible to read them! Granted, some of the features are easily figured out IF you have played a lot of Match 3 games, but some of the features are a bit more complicated. When a player chooses the tutorial that means they want information about gameplay so give us time to read them or have a reference section available!
There are several customizable options available, you can choose Fast or High-quality Graphics, or Enable/Disable available Move Hints. You can play in a Relaxed Mode, a Limited Moves Mode, or a Limited Time Mode and you can then choose between a Casual and Expert Mode. There are 14 Trophy Achievements to earn as well.
The Level Goals are shown at the top of the screen requiring you to make a specified number of each specified tile shown, which usually includes making matches on all the Blue Cells once, and the Green Cells twice. You must also collect all Essence Gems by making an adjacent match, and some items need to be dropped to the bottom of the board.
There are three Power-ups available, a Hammer to remove a chosen Tile, a Shuffle Feature that reshuffles the field, and a Tile Hint feature that will show you an available move. The powerups must recharge after each use. Large Matches give you a Bonus Bomb on the board in various strengths (small, medium, large, etc.) and they can be swapped before detonating.
The Obstructions vary with Earth-covered cells, Chained Tiles, Archilles Heel tiles that are only vulnerable on one side, Fog-covered tiles, and Locked Tiles that require making a specified amount of whichever tile is locked within. Fire-breathing Dragons are triggered by adjacent matches to shoot flames that trigger a chain reaction of explosions. There are also Steel Crates with constantly changing numbers that alternate between being weak or strong so the trick is to make an adjacent match when the number indicates the tile is at its most vulnerable state.

The graphics are amazing, the trains, tracks, and people are very realistic and the colors are vivid, visually speaking, the game has curb appeal. The goals vary at each level but basically, the goal is to get each train to its color-coded train station (without crashing) by switching track sections that have yellow directional arrows. I love puzzles, but I found that the levels ranged from slow-moving and boring, to chaotic and frustrating...neither of which is my idea of a good time.
If you choose Casual Mode you can't lose, otherwise, you will earn up to 3 stars per level. There are 4 Chapters with 15 Levels each, and you can earn a whopping amount of achievements...5 to be precise.
If the Timer tab is Blue on a level it indicates a Timed Level, if the Trains tab is Blue it indicates the objectives have not been completed. If the Tolerated Crashes tab is Blue, the number indicates the remaining number of tolerated crashes, if exceeded you will lose unless you are not playing in the Casual Mode.
You can pause, or speed up the trains by clicking the buttons at the bottom right corner or by using the spacebar. You can switch the direction of Train Tracks (only tracks with arrows) by left-clicking. Bumpers at the end of some tracks can be useful because the train will magically turn around and continue chugging along in the direction it came from.
As you progress, you are tasked with getting several color-coded trains to their matching station without crashing. To accomplish this you will need to take advantage of track sections (and pause buttons) that will stop a train while maneuvering others to their destinations. This is where the chaos & frustration come into play so there actually is a Time Management aspect to this game as well!

There's nothing more frustrating than finding an interesting game only to discover that it's not compatible with the newer versions of Windows. Not only does Ancient Spiders Solitaire work on Win11, but it's a surprisingly fun version of Spider Solitaire with several variants (Spider One Suit, Spider Two Suits, Spider Four Suits, Tarantula, Black Widow, Black Spider, Ants, and Cobweb)
The goal of each variant is to create sequences of the same suit, starting with the King and finishing with the Ace. Each variant will tell you the general length of the game itself, and the difficulty range, for example, Spider One Suit only has 1 deck of cards so that game will be easier than Spider Two Suits, and will take longer to complete.
There aren't a lot of bells and whistles, other than combo bars, multipliers, and a High Scores Leader Board, but that doesn't make this game any less addicting! If you are a solitaire fan, especially Spider Solitaire, then you definitely want to give this one a try!

Sam the Magician was the star of his cousin Max's Mouse Circus which drew enor"mouse" crowds as they traveled from city to city. Ironically, the infamous Magician mysteriously disappeared without a trace and the Circus eventually crumbled without their missing link and star of the show.
Thirty-three detectives later, Max Vigor seeks the help of Detective Paw, a struggling agent facing eviction. The one and only lead they have is from a distant memory of an odd symbol adorning the cane of a stranger...and so the Moontrain adventure begins!
As many of you know, our beloved Kris Djokic from Dragonseye Studio passed away shortly after the release of Tearstone: Thieves of the Heart :( Thankfully, he was here to witness the success of Tearstone 2 but unfortunately, Moontrain was still in development. As a tribute, the Dragonseye team worked feverishly to complete the game to honor their beloved mentor...and they have exceeded everyone's expectations!
Moontrain is a point & click adventure ride you don't want to miss! It's a thinking kind of game with adorable characters and whimsically animated cartoon graphics. The storyline will amuse and delight players of all ages as you search for clues and follow leads to find Sam and reunite him with his cousin Max.
It surprises me that Big Fish listed Moontrain as a Hidden Object Game versus a Point & Click Adventure. Although it has aspects of hidden object scenes, they aren't typical HO's. Sometimes you will search for needed items by rummaging and moving things out of the way but those objects aren't listed at the bottom as they are in typical HO scenes, and you may have to return to those areas on other occasions to find another item. There are also Black & White scenes that require you to find & replace 3 objects in 3 different scenes to fill in parts of the story or fill in the backstory, but again, they don't tell you what to do or what to look for, you have to figure out the requirements as you do in most adventures.
In most HOPA games, the developer throws in random mini-games and puzzles that have nothing to do with the story, they are just fillers. The mini-games in Moontrain ARE part of the adventure's progression, in other words, you need to solve puzzles to progress, and although they can be skipped you probably won't want to! You may need to play an arcade game to get a part needed to fix broken items or find codes to solve the puzzles. The mini-games and puzzles are easy to solve, but they don't come with a set of instructions, they rely on you to tinker with them to find the solution...and you'll feel a sense of pride when you do figure out how to fix or solve something!
As in most adventure games, you will come across areas that require items, and usually in multiples of the same item, such as 10 Nails. Once you click on an area of interest, an Icon will appear on the top right, showing a picture and the quantity of the items required. Once you find the required parts, you drag that icon of inventory to the correct location to use them. Icons that have a magnifying glass require further inspection, and items with a + sign require combining two or more inventory items... if you get stuck there's always a good old-fashioned Hint button!
Bonus Chapter:
The Moontrain is flooding and it's up to you to fix the leak and help various characters during your newfound adventure!
The CE Version has 44 Collectible Gems (some may be hidden) that allow you to purchase Detective Items, 5 Screensavers (after answering questions about the game) 20 Music Soundtracks, Concept Art Pictures, a Notebook with Character Bios, and a built-in Strategy Guide. From what I can tell, this SE version has everything but the Bonus Chapter, and Strategy Guide, it even has the collectible Gems!
